A great online Access course with supportive and understanding tutors who are responsive over chat if needed. The learning materials are excellent and there is a really good blend of in person classes as well as recorded material which allows you to go at your own pace.
Marking of assignments can be a little slow and it seems to get done in bulk so a bit tricky to take on board any feedback to help you to improve your mark if needed for your next assignement but the feedback is thorough and informative.
Laura and Jemma have been particularly supportive throughout my time on the course and give realistic advice which is helpful. It enables you to push on with the course if there are any hurdles.

I did an access course through Cambridge online education and I’m so pleased that I did. I was returning to education after a 20 year break and was daunted about how I would cope. My tutor, Martyna was amazing, she helped to build my confidence and get me to realise my potential. I am amazed that I have accomplished so much and feel ready for university. I now have the skills to be able to write essays confidently and don’t feel that I am behind other students. I did Computer Science, I didn’t have any background. The feedback’s teacher helped me a lot to improve my assignments, he was very patient, since English is my second language and I could talk to other students. Watching the recording videos was very helpful to understand what to focus on.It was challenging, but I had good grades and I feel more confident going to uni.

This course is fantastic. It's super flexible, and the support you get in the online community is truly unique. The course is laid out in a way that's easy to understand and dyslexic-friendly.

I would recommend this course in a heartbeat to anyone thinking for doing online studying! As someone who never thought they had a chance for going to uni, I’m now starting in September, I got everything I needed from this course to meet my conditions. I had Laura and Dana as my main tutors and wow they are amazing! They present their PowerPoints and recorded videos wonderfully, they are fast to answer any messages or questions you might have, also very helpful when marking your work and explaining everything. I’d do this course again in a heartbeat and it’s worth every penny, very grateful for this course!

I feel like I have gained knowledge that prepares me for higher education, and I am looking forward to it. My science tutors were lovely and helpful given their roles and busy lives outside of it.

However, I cannot rate this five stars as some other aspects are rather poor; the accommodations they state they provide are seemingly non-existent (Except for Laura, who tried her best to accommodate my disabilities), communication is also very slow and poorly managed, probably due to the high number of students compared to staff, which brings me to my final complaint being the management. Everything negative seems to stem from it, such as me not being contacted over a week late due to an error in their entry system and in the previous complaints about communication, it seems nothing is made to be clear or understandable for the students, tutors or moderators.

Also, as the course page states itself as "self-paced", this only refers to a very loose idea of the term, as I found myself being told that I was too fast and I should slow down, as "To have done so much of your course is less than 2 months is a red flag that the grades could be jeopardised". It felt rather insulting and accusatory, and I was often left feeling a sense of guilt for doing the work I was given in the way I feel comfortable (Doing heaving research for days, and writing for days, reviewing and then submitting), yet another failure of their "accommodation".

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Computer Science course. The lead tutor is very knowledgeable and has been very supportive throughout. I never really had a particular interest in coding; however, having completed the coding modules I found those, as well as the website development and mobile computing assignments, the most enjoyable and rewarding to complete. I would recommend this course to others.

I started this course to assist my journey to be accepted on to a university degree. I am a 30 year old male with 2 children and currently working 2 jobs, which would benefit more from a degree and to propel my career. From the very start, Jemma Graham and Dr Sana Rehman were most helpful. They worked with me to schedule in the best possible times and hours for the Diploma, working around my jobs and my children, they were comforting and caring as well pushing me to my full potential. I could not have done it without them both and for me I have learnt so much and have now walked out of this course with a high distinction and have been accepted to my first choice university course. I fully recommend this service and course to anyone no matter what your situation is, Access Courses Online will work with you to help you succeed.

I decided to enrol onto the access to public sector and policing course as I needed the qualification to become a police officer. This is an amazing course and all the staff are lovely and helpful, they are active all the time and will do anything to help.
