This “company” are a bloody disgrace, I have contacted all involved including Calum Melville @edison group. Haven’t had our job completed or refunded the amount due for jobs not completed, I can’t believe this company has left this utter mess knowing that it’s a 70 year old they were dealing with. I am completely disheartened with the actions of all involved and how they have scammed an elderly woman. Don’t ever trust this company especially anything involving the name Edison group, especially Calum Melville, he is an absolute disgrace of a human being, the way he treats people (customers) is absolutely shocking, shame on you calum.melvile@edisongroup
You had the chance to rectify this mess and chose to do nothing!!!!!!!!!!

Bunch of cowboys. Paid deposit in July for kerb drop. No correspondence replied to. No calls answered. Checked with Council... no permit applied for. Just a Bunch of con men scamming people. Scumbags

I had them come out back in March to give me a quote, came out to discuss what I was wanting explained Driveway& Dropped Kerb, my husband & I agreed with the quote.
We agreed we would go for Tarmac & Monoblock border Driveway + Monoblock path & stairs we had to pay deposit in July 2023, we got our date for the job to start Monday 14th August 2023 they came about 8.30am, they were waiting on materials & Digger being delivered that didn't happen until later on Midday, so they went back to another job they had been doing, came back about lunch time materials & digger had been delivered the work started, dug out all the foundations we had asked about Drainage (Away at the start when they came out to give us a quote) which we were told we wouldn't need it. (SO WE HAVE NO DRAINAGE IN OUR DRIVEWAY) on our quote invoice letter they said it would approximately be finished in 6days, they kept going between our job and going to other's, the person who came out to give the quote, he was the one it built our retaining wall for Driveway( No bricklayer experience he told my husband he just picked it up) there are not WEEPER HOLES in the wall which should have been put in(we were told with the other builder) The First Week they were here for Max of 3/4 days, the second week 2/3 days, which then I was told the person I was dealing with had been paid off, I wanted the retaining wall a little higher as I wasn't happy incase my cars came over into my livingroom window, my job was still on going i had a new builder with TEDC which they had taken on come out and finish the retaining wall & put our copping stones on,the whole job took over 6weeks to complete Everytime materials were delivered etc they would ask for payment,absolute shambles of company, I thought I was dealing with a respectable company, in which I was dealing with a bunch of cowboys,liars that just want your money.
To this day I'm still waiting on my dropped kerb to be done which is never going to happen.
I'm now getting a new builder into do my dropped kerb.

Well I deleted my last review a couple of weeks ago to give this company the benefit of the doubt but since then have been given the runaround once more. I believe my elderly disabled parents are lucky maybe compared to some of these reviews as only paid a deposit. I have today left a message on Ewen Martins phone requesting refund of their money paid. I don't hold out much hope... And I will take it through the appropriate channels until they receive this. This was, I was assured, a simple drop kerb job which would take 1 day. Deposit paid 28th July. The couple of bits of correspondence I've had (which were all my effort to get in touch) have basically been them pacifying me. Shame on them for treating an elderly disabled person this way.

Avoid this company at all costs. They are bigger cowboys than John Wayne.

I have been asked by the company via Trustpilot to validate who I am. Perhaps that just demonstrates that there are multiple botched jobs out there and not just mine.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Run the other way. Disgusting customer service from the man who owns it. All they want is money as they have none. They are all liars and will tell you any excuse under the sun to keep you on side. The people running it have no driveway experience. Trust me I have lost money. EDC were going through a significant restructure when I contacted them. Communications were, therefore, a bit loose but being worked on.
Of all the companies requested to quote, (5) EDC were the only ones to properly grasp our verbal design concept and submit computer graphics of their interpretation of our proposal.
They were evenly priced; mid range. Quality of work and materials very high. Employees on site were respectful. Finished article well worth every penny.
No issue with call backs either. One loose tile corner re-fixed promptly.

After a positive experience myself with The Edinburgh Driveway Company I got them in to do my dads driveway and build a new garage for him. Good job well done, on time, on budget and to a high standard. Looks great and even my father almost smiled…..quite an achievement.

Arranged a visit from this company to quote for repaving back patio. All went ok , discussed options and was verbally quoted between 3 and 4k which seemed ok. They then sent a written quote which was between 5 and 6k. Appreciate verbal quotes will always have an element of an estimate but over 50% more? Was told it was due to not adding VAT or taking into account waste removal. So asked for alternative options to reduce cost but didn’t get a response. Chased with a follow up but still no response. Disappointing and poor customer service in my view.

Guys who did the driveway very polite and professional and did a lovely job of my drive very pleased with it would recommend this company for a lovely job

I engaged the Edinburgh Driveway Company to do some paving for me in my garden area, and build a new patio. The team spent a lot of time listening to what we wanted and coming up with multiple options to suit our needs, as my wife had some very specific requirements. Very happy with the work they've completed, and was done in time for my relatives arriving from overseas, so we could enjoy the patio as planned.

Really good service. Turned up when they were supposed to and completed the work in the time frame they said they would. Really good price and work was done to a high standard.

Would recommend them to anyone.

The Edinburgh Driveway Company took my money and did not finish the job. They said would come back to finish the job but hit never did over a year later. The work that was done was of poor quality and we were repeated let down and lied to by the office manager. After a while the range of excuses were actually laughable, but I couldnt work out if she was an idiot or just thought I was. They went in to liquidation but still operate and the same characters remain involved. Avoid this company at all costs, they will rip you off.

Edinburgh Driveway replaced our old driveway. We were very pleased with the service - everything happened pretty much when they said it would & they let us know if something might be say an hour late.
The end result is we now have a much admired driveway & we are very pleased with it.
They clearly take a lot of pride in their work & this came across with their suggestions of what might look better (and it did)

Recently had work done by this company, from start to finish I was kept up to date via the office, we had a slight delay in the project starting due to weather, however, Tracey was very professional and in contact at all points. The team were tidy, polite and updated me every day before going home. The job was booked in for 4 days but took 4 and a half due to weather, overall I am absolutely delighted with my completed install.

UPDATE- This review is no longer relevant as I believe the company has been taken over by new owners in January 2023.
My review related to the company that was run by the previous owners at the end of 2022.

I've had nothing but bother dealing with this company.
They charged me extra for work that was originally discussed with the estimator and said that this work was not included in the original quote despite this being discussed earlier.
After I paid a 30% deposit they advised that they had cash flow problems and were not able to buy the materials to do the job, so I had to purchase these from the merchants myself.
They then tried to charge me £1,800 for fitting a manhole cover that was originally quoted @ £387 for this work.
The job was originally advised to take around 2/3 days but it took them 10 days to complete the work.
They had to borrow my Sthil saw for most of the days as they didn't bring one themselves.
They also tried to charge me "extra" after the work was completed.
I was requested to pay the balance the same day the invoice was presented, which I did. However, despite several repeated requests, it has now been 12 days since the job was completed but I still haven't had a receipt or been given a copy of the guarantee.
This must be one of the worst experiences I have had dealing with a company.

Excellent experience with this Company from initial phone query to completion of job. Rear garden monoblocking exercise covering roughly 40sqm including raised step and half moon circle. Installation team were polite, friendly and courteous. Tidied up the site on a regular basis and ended up doing a first class job. Delighted with outcome

Had our cellars concreted and ramps put in areas fenced of to be more presentable. Professional guys did as was asked always in contact would recommend. Sean

Was verbally threatened by a member of their team. I was told That I should walk away before something happened. All this because I outed another company doing work elsewhere that they were parked by a dropped kerb and on double yellow lines. I don’t know why they tried to intimidate me for stating facts. Avoid this company. Because it would seem if you have a complaint they will just swear at you and threaten you with physical violence!
So I was asked by this business to provide more information. The person in the photo I posted was the one who threatened me and body shamed me saying what a state I looked. If you are going to be a professional then employ professional people.

As I previously said the person in the photo is the person who abused me.
I think your manager should have stepped in instead of looking on.
I know you do not know me from Adam but I am not in habit of lying.
I’m surprised to hear you have witnesses, it would be handy to have there contact information as I only remember your guy and the other contractors and me?
The person in the picture approached me at the same time or just after (receiving abuse from other contractors) who were illegally parked.
They were also wearing one of your teeshirts with your logo on. (So could not possibly be a landscaper)
He had no need to approach but seemed he felt the other four builders needed some kind of backup!
I have reported both matters to the police as I will not be intimidated in my own neighbourhood, again if you provide witness contact details, I would be grateful.

Have used this company twice now. Great service both times. 2nd time was for some work in the garden. There was a bit of a problem with the delivery of the materials but the Company sorted this is out quickly and efficiently while keeping me fully up to date. Problems happen but its how they are dealt with that really makes the different to the service a company provide.
1st time I used this Company was about 7 years ago to do my driveway.....it still looks perfect after all this time.
Can't fault this Company, would use them again and definitely recommend.
