I am pleased with the shoes, and that I received them, thanks to the new owner of our house. I would have valued the opportunity to speak with someone regarding the order, to let them know that we were in the middle of a house move and therefore changing our address.

Dreadful -FOOTWEAR4YOU sent the incorrect order and the supposed customer support didn't respond to my e-mails as No phone number available. Should change their name to FOOTWEAR4Someoneelse. Woeful customer service - avoid!

Bad experience

Ordered a pair of Mephisto shoes in the winter sale on the 7th of January. Supposedly the delivery takes 2 to 4 weeks. It is Now the 11th of March and I have no shoes. My emails are rarely answered.

Ordered and paid for shoes 21 January…

Ordered and paid for shoes 21 January and was advised delivery timescale of 2 to 4 weeks. Time now passed and heard nothing. Tried sending a few emails and again nothing. No phone number available. Think I’m now stuck and will have to figure out how to get my money back. Very very poor service.

This was an excellent business run by Geoff Schickle in Burnham on Sea for many years until he retired in May 2025 and the business was taken over by Matt of Modular Commerce who is blatantly a complete shyster.
I paid £150.50 for a pair if Mephisto shoes on 17th January since when I have received no updates at all. There is no telephone number and if you email both Footwear 4 You and Modular Commerce they don’t even open your emails and there is no way you can contact them and get a reply.
Avoid like the plague and shop elsewhere.

Nightmare experience ordering shoes

I ordered shoes as part of the Black Friday promotion on 27th November. The purchase was intended to be a Christmas present for my son. Emailed on 19th December to ask when/if shoes were going to be delivered. I was told on 22nd. December that "special orders" can take up to 4 weeks to arrive. [I had no idea this was a "special order" when I ordered]. 6 weeks later on 14th January I emailed again. I was told order to was about to go out immediately and would receive shoes by w/c 26th January. My next email was on 30th January where I said if I don't receive the shoes by the end of following week I would cancel the order. On 5th February I had an email saying the shoes would not be arriving until the 22nd. Feb. and they would action a refund. On 11th Feb I emailed again to ask when the refund would happen. On the 12th Feb. I received the refund. I now need to look online for new shoes for my son. Absolutely really terrible experience that demonstrated very low regard for me as a customer. The company seems to have really gone downhill as I have ordered shoes from them in the past with no problems. If shoes are going to be delayed, be proactive and inform the customer of this delay, and then when information is requested don't give false deadlines that are then not kept. I won't be ordered from this company again which is a real shame as I like Mephisto shoes.

Very disappointing!

Very disappointing, 14 days and still no boots, contact from customer service after 10days of no delivery promised my parcel was being sent the following day by 24hour Royal Mail service, day after day tracking reported no change in leaving the delivery depot. Today I received a note from Royal Mail requesting I pay £2.40 for incorrect postage from I presume Footwear4you as I have no other outstanding orders. Not what I expect from a £175 purchase.
