I'd had a few quotes from other roofing Co's, but the cowboy attitude or 'winging it' waffle they'd give me was cringeworthy. Then one day whilst taking my daughter to school I saw a couple of guys in their hazmat suits preparing to do a roof in an adjacent road, so I duly took a photo of the contact info on the van. I called up and Joe arranged a convenient time, he even called prior to the apt to say he could visit earlier if I wanted and it just happened to work out for me that it did. He arrived spot on as planned, it's the only way to be in with a chance of getting my custom! Having worked in the trades for over 35 years I could immediately tell that Joe was being honest in everything he was telling me and I really liked his personality and attitude. He provided me the quote to remove my double garage asbestos roof exactly when he said he would, I even added some facia and guttering work to the main house on to the job. The price was agreed, not the cheapest and not the most expensive, but definitely the most honest feeling about it. I had confidence this would be a smooth project, so confident that I never even went to check on the house he was doing around the corner, which is very unlike me. The install day came and it was a wet one, but Joe and his team cracked on with it regardless and even replaced a couple of extra timbers for no additional cost. As the work had gone slower due to the rain Joe wasn't able to do the work on the house on the same day, but returned as planned two days later and completed as agreed. I now have an awesome looking box profile corrugated drip free roof on my garage (with no asbestos and I didn't even need to empty my stuff out!) and the 95 year old cast iron guttering that had a cascading waterfall down my windows when it rained has now gone. I have high standards and expectations for the work I pay for and Joe met them, all the way. I wholeheartedly recommend Joe @ The Garage Roof Co, he's been a ray of light in an otherwise dark cloud of cowboy tradesmen. Great job Joe & team, one very happy customer over here!
