Beware if ordering from the UK!

Beware if ordering from the UK! I ordered a Patagonia jacket (£160) from inwild as it was a little cheaper than all of the other stores online, I realised there was a good chance I may have to pay VAT on top when the item arrived. When the jacket finally did arrive 2 weeks later (delivery was advertised as 3/4 days) I had to pay £62 extra in VAT and charges, WAY more than the 20% VAT i was expecting. Customer service emails take between 2 and 5 days each time to be answered meaning a conversation is frustratingly slow.

Its seems very unfair for a company to do its best to attract UK based customers (.co.uk address etc) knowing full well the fees that will be added AFTER purchase make their products none competitive with other online stores.

Unfortunately your parcel has been stopped in customs and it has been held for days for clearance. We are sorry for the delay, however Inwild or the courier cannot be held responsible for delays caused by customs.
Since the parcel is shipped from Italy, for orders destined outside EU there are custom fees to be paid. We advise in the cart that there might be additional charges when the parcel reaches your country.
The amount of custom fees cannot be predicted by Inwild, since we do not have influence over custom authorities.

HAD TO PAY MYSELF TO RETURN SHOES

Bad customer service.
I bought some shoes that were too small and wanted to exchange for a larger size but I HAD TO PAY FOR THE RETURN MYSELF. And extra 15€ just to return some shoes that are too small.
I will not be ordering from here again and do not think anyone should with a return policy like this.
They just lost a potential new client

We have shipped you the correct product you ordered and unfortunately, if the product doesn't fit you or doesn't meet your requirements, this is something our of Inwild's control.
We allow unused products to be returned within 30 days from the date of delivery, however the cost of return is at the customer's expense.
For customers within EU, we can offer the option to book a prepaid label at the cost of 9,90€ which is later deducted from the refund amount.

item was not as ordered so was returned…

item was not as ordered so was returned at my expense. so from an original purchase price of £38.97 inc postage, the refund was 20.38 euros, as although I posted them back with import/export charges included (£9.30) they said it was customs charges their end so deducted 14.04 euros!
disgusting rip off and could even begin to recommend this company.

In the case of parcels from outside the EU, any additional costs such as customs fees are the responsibility of the customer.

Avoid at all costs

Took more than a month of constant calls to them in order to get a refund for a simple return. Awful customer service, avoid.

Don't bother ordering to the UK

Don't bother. The delivery amount is quite chunky already, but then be prepared for customs charges. The postal service they used (Poste Italiano/SDA) are notorious for just dumping the parcels at a ParcelForce depot and telling you they attempted deliver, for you to chase down. I then had to get in touch with Parcelforce who traced it by postcode (as the tracking number SDA provided didn't work), they then give you a customs payment number which you can use to pay online, with Parcelforce adding an additional clearance charge.
So a £120 order grew to about £200 with various taxes and fees.
And took about 2 weeks to track down and resolve.

Dreadful

Dreadful! Ordered hiking poles, got emails saying they were on their way and then last minute told they weren't in stock. 2 weeks later and still waiting for my refund. Total thieves

Unfortunately there has been an error in the number of stock available and we confirmed this mistake only after you placed the order. Therefore we have been obliged to cancel your order and issue a full refund.
The refund has been issued in the same payment method used to placed the order, however please note that the time for processing the refund is not something managed by Inwild.
The credit card company might take a couple of weeks in order to reflect the transaction in the card.

Very poor service

Very poor service. They passed on the wrong/incorrect address to the courier. After that, it’s taken so far over 1 month trying to get it resolved. I still haven’t received my order and their customer support takes 5 to 10 days to reply when I email them. Resorting to credit card dispute now.

The delivery address given to the courier is the one that the customer writes down when placing the order.
We contacted you to confirm whether or not the address is correct and you replied that the delivery address is correct.
We would like to point out that your parcel was not delivered due to the absence of the recipient.
The courier attempted delivery three times, but could not deliver the parcel for the same reason.
The delivery company also asked the addressee to contact them directly, but without the cooperation of the customer, the delivery could not be rearranged.
In the end, the parcel was returned to the sender and we issued a refund.

Don't order if from UK - High Costs

Have yet to receive the items, though it looks like delivery is prompt. I am in the UK. Charged £11 for delivery by InWild and then another £42 by customs for taxes (which was not included in the original order but is paid by FedEx, and then you have to pay in order to receive the items). Not worth it in my opinion. It does say on the website, but only if you search for it.

Was a little sceptical…

Was a little sceptical about ordering from Italy to UK but absolutely no problem at all. Order processed really quickly and with fed-ex took about a week to arrive.
