London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Avis 102

This is a review regarding Reside. They are awful! No contact numbers, no response to emails. Found out their office is now in the 360 building in Barking - went to see them & got an email from one of their staff members. He has now left! Who do we speak to now?! The housing officer Mignonne Tipa doesn't respond either. I am going crazy. My neighbours and I have complained in every way possible about the fact that our flats are swarming with ants and nobody is helping! This has been going on for over a year. Darren Rodwell and Alison Cormack have now been contacted - let's see what their response is!

Heartless people. Received two PCNS for the same reason and one could not be cancelled as I genuinely didn't know the area and missed the signs.

Received a PCN from these incompetent people for stopping in a box junction.
The photos supplied were of two blurred dots, but on visiting the links you can see clearly the cars and numberplates.
Why don't they firstly check the numberplate has been read correctly and secondly the car on the DVLA database matches what they are issuing a PCN to!
It was clear the cars in the blurred photo were black and silver yet the plate they fined belonged to a red car! This should have rang alarm bells but no. If they had checked the clearer online images, they'd also realised they had read the plate incorrectly!
On notifying them, there was no apology, no acknowledgement of their mess up, just a letter continuing to suggest my car was there but cancelled the PCN.
Totally Incompetent!

I've lived in this borough of barking and dagenham council for over 13 years now.But I must admit, this LBBD is getting worse every day, especially a couple of years here to date. The council has endeavour to replace the horrible worker staff they had before with very wicked, horrifying, monsters and beast-like human-beings that have got no empathy, compassion and are so self-centred to come and intimidate and frighten us so that the residents would not call or complain with anything without being attacked back by this staff. They're not only disgusting but are a bunch of miserable staff that are unkind and care less. I'm suffering from many plagues at the hand of this council, and I have found it unbearable and shameful to discuss my terrified experience to-date with the same council. They tortured me to the extent that they had once threatened to come and kidnap my children from me when they were younger but now, it's the disrepairs, council tax, mice, rent arrears and old PCN fines that they're using to harass me. This council has fun blocking and changing road marks overnight just to raise money and rip off residents with vehicles. It's a shame this council is allowed to get away with the amount of disastrous and calamities they have caused their masses. My family members once worked with this corporation, although in transportation, and on many occasions attacked by neighbours and residents. Do you blame them? How sad and overwhelming to be part of these serial monsters!

You can't get repairs done because nobody answers the phone. I was at position 3 for 45 mins then gave up. Terrible service

Worst council ever. Useless and unhelpful and the bin men are extremely rude and keep missing the bins

Once again another rat taken from council property. More ammution for a rainy day to sue council has it contually breaking the law

Barking in Dagenham council does not care about tenants safety, Teresa Collins is an frontline officer who never done anything to combat Drugs and Gangs in the borough she continually denies and refused to have knowledge on what is going on,tenants are consistently living in state of fear and intimidation by the so called hellbanians.

Truly sick of this council. Emails never answered or phones. They have no consideration for their residents. The so called leader wants to be the MP for the borough. We really will be up that creek without a paddle.

Sort your pay parking via mobile/online iv tried to pay for parking for over an hour and got nowhere how hard can it be cant you make it simple to use via and app.

The worst council ever, my roof has collapsed in the living room this has been an ongoing issue for years we have been suffering from leaks every time it rains and the council have been aware of this. Recently the roof literally tore due to water damage and my living room flooded with water I reported this as an emergency and till date nobody has come in to fix this and there is a disabled person living in the house.

This bunch of useless council has no people skills when they come to helping people. In their mind they’re always right and customers always wrong!! They can go to hell, money grabbing bunch of honeypots.

They closed my council tax account by mistake without checking details and stopped sending me bills. As I had direct debit I missed the payments and they charged me for 5 years afterwards, sent me the letter that over 5k has to be paid until 23/09/22 but when I made a complaint and asked for payment plan their response was that as I raised the complaint they will respond to me by 26/09/22. I wrote to them that I'm disapointed as I'm told to pay by 23/09 and I asked for the payment plan and the response came exactly 26/09, how malicious. Made me to pay the whole amount and only said sorry, our mistake

Serving the public is not their forte. What a waste of tax payer money! Terrible workforce, no education, experience or customer service skills.

The LBBD refused to replace a fence that almost crushed an old aged pensioner whom is very vulnerable. Despite repeated complaints, they made it clear vulnerable tenants are not cared about and they will do nothing for a pensioners safety. Let's see what the ombudsman and media think of thr despicable behaviour.

I m waiting for 1 hour and half to get answered at the phone and nobody is answering how is this possible I will stop paying council tax if this is the option to get in contact with them

This is despicable service they provide from the Council. They never respond to emails. I am so frustrated as they sent me Council tax bill that I have proved I do not owe. I sent them email after email and still no response from them! My husband even went to there offices and there is know one who will speak to you. I got cut off on the phone after an hour waiting. I’m so fed up and still they send demands for payment and no acknowledgment of my emails. They don’t care. I think they work from home since Covid. Anyway I now have sent a complaint email as I have lost all hope. I’m not paying a penny for this demand! I am furious.

Had the misfortune of driving in to this crime ridden borough and have now received one of those dirty "entrapment" fines for some stupid rule they have made up to extort money from drivers.
I will most certainly not be entering that borough again, in fact i do my utmost to avoid London all together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a single flag or anything on heathway for queen's jubilee. Upminster and hornchurch have flags all down street. Absolutely appalling for council not to do anything.

For 4 months my council tax support has been all different amounts even though I am receiving the same amount of money each month. They wrote to me to tell me they made a mistake and part of my UC payment should of been disregarded as income when calculating my council tax support and then increased my council tax support in view of this, then the next month they choose not
to label or include the disregarded transitional element UC payment on my council tax bill summary. I thought this can't be right when my UC statement is shown to the council tax support department again by the council tax department with the disregarded amount added to the bill at a later date they are likely to treat it as income again and they have done just that. The council tax department and the council tax support team at Barking and Dagenham Council town square Barking should know by now that the transitional element payment in UC should be disregarded as income when working out council tax support. simply disregard the transitional element payment as income in UC and stop increasing my council tax bill because you fail to do this. It takes an hour to reach them on the phone and they rarely answer their emails. The transitional element is given to people who are unwell and yet the council tax department and the council tax support department are making people more unwell continuously increasing a council tax bill because they refuse to disregard the transitional element as income. They now wish me to pay £39.00 council tax per month because they have not disregarded the transitional element as income between them yet again. They confer with each other regularly it really is a simple thing if they would only do it. Please tell each other to disregard the transitional element in UC as income when working out council tax support. You are causing anxiety to I'll people when you fail to do this for months
