The only reason I stay is because I like the website design.

Sign up was easy and quick but otherwise I haven't had may positives with this site.

I got invited via LinkedIn to make a profile on this website and have to say I'm not too impressed. It asks right off the bat whether you want to pay to boost your rankings. My initial response to this was sceptisim because for me this was an unprooven platform and I had no guarantee or evidence that paying would actually increase the amount of students I got. I emailed the company no less than four times asking if they had any statistics on what sort of increase in student numbers I could expect paying for this boosted service, plus whether this was a one off payment or an ongoing payment as it wasn't clear on the website. Complete radio silence. This was back in the beginning of August.

Three months later I haven't had a single student enquiry. Coupled with ignoring my emails (but chasing me up during the application phase) I'm suspecting that their business model may be based on attracting as many tutors to the platform as possible and getting them to pay for boosted views rather than attract potential clients to the website. When I was first invited to the website it seemed more under the guise that they would be hiring me for regular work, rather than a standard do it yourself tutoring platform, so I found the recruitment quite disingenuous. All in all, not too impressed.

You won't get regular students maybe one in a year/couple of months. Although you get paid easily and commission is 3%. You set your own rate. They don't have there own platform you can arrange lessons on zoom, MS depending on what you have for personal use. You can plan and arrange independently

Sign up is quick and easy compared to similar services. Student take-up is slower than expected. Only 1 x student after a few months; that's with a ranking of 23 in one category. That being said, the freedom to teach your own way is great and payment has been received.

Sign up was easy. I initially signed up and paid the fee to be an ambassador. It was neither clear or apparent that this was a recurring payment.

I was concerned as to whether this was legitimate. Andrew from Tutor Spark contacted me to assure me it was legitimate but agreed that the fee aspected needed to be clearer on the website.

I’ve unfortunately had zero students during my month. Andrew stated that they have 45,000 unique searches by students per month. Because I was unhappy he refunded two months fees, which is fair enough.

I give three stars here primarily because he reached out to me and gave me a refund.

It didn’t work out for me but perhaps with more time it may have done so. Your mileage may vary depending on what you teach. I’d be interested to see more reviews here over time and not just within the same date period.
