Get through to someone in India who can just about understand me reporting on behalf of my 89-year-old mother who is asking to be paid £180 she gets Pension credit and shouldn’t be paying for this. It’s caused her stress and giving me grief. Why the hell am I being diverted to India for a TV license in Britain? It’s fricking disgusting
Threats and intimidation for not needing a license!
Absolute joke of an organisation using passive aggressive and threatening correspondence to try and scare people into paying for a license they don’t need.
Didn’t renew my license as no longer required. Received copious amounts of passive aggressive emails, letters and text messages. Went online to declare I don’t need a license which they acknowledge.
Then received an email to say an investigation had been launched, emails to say I ‘should’ expect a visit.

I feel the need to leave feedback. I do not watch TV or any of the associated channels that a TV licence is considered needed for. I haven’t done for some time (years) and as a result of this cancelled my TV licence roughly 18mths or so ago. The level of harassment since cancelling it has been shocking and very stressful. I have now moved home and immediately received the same harassing letters at my new home. I’m sick of it and because of the stress it causes I have bought a poxy licence even though I still do not watch television because it’s the only way to make the harassment stop. They should be ashamed of themselves for using such bullying tactics. It’s not ok and whilst I know I shouldn’t have given in and bought a licence buts it’s one less stress I could really do without.

Why do the BBC alone
Why do the BBC alone, amongst all the others who require people to obtain a license to do something, indulge in harassment, threats and intimidation towards those who do not watch or record live TV and are just not willing to waste their time contacting TV Licensing to inform them that they don't do something (that they never do anyway and definitely don't want to either) because arrogant idiots are incapable of imagining that not everyone in every residential property is interested in abysmal TV output.
This is an unacceptable racket, but all UK Governments are in cahoots with the BBC and its agenda of woke propaganda and so don't put a stop to intimidation of innocent citizens.

Just moved into a new place, I don’t even have a TV and they keep harassing me with letters, threading they will send enforcement officers. Is this company ran by clowns?

Took up a licence on 29th of April paid an upfront amount fornd I didn't watch TV . Then cancelled and the refined me £6.00 charged me two months a full month for April as they say the license starts from 1st of the month . Rob dogs then the wonder why people don't want to pay it .

It is basically harassment and I don't know how they get away with it. If a person did anything like this they would be convicted of a crime. So disappointed that there is one rule for some and completely another rule for others. I received a letter from tv licensing asking me to check/change my email address. (I had chsnged this due to phishing event 3 weeks ago).
Changed online - wanted 16.50 for this. Queried charge by online chat - given a number to call as said not their department (?).
Rang number and went round and round the phone system to be sent a whats app link for my query and hung up.
Wrote a message via whats app who introduced himself as Andy the AI assistant.
Went to website - rang a customer service number, listened to half a message and hung up when told I was being charged 6.00 for the call.
Official complaint lodged.
I want email changed with no charge as I have updated online and done all the work.
In future I would like to speak to a human being.
Disgusting company. Vile.
Followed all of the advice given, am doing nothing wrong, and still receive threatening, anxiety inducing letters telling me to prepare for prosecution, and that an investigation has been scheduled. Modern day scammers. Disgusting.

for the first 6 months, they charge you twice of the money, and charge you a full month even you started on the last day of the month.
i canclled as we dont really watch it, now it took 1 month, yet still not received the refund. They claimed cheque has been sent 2 weeks ago, which i highly doubt.
Very bad customer service, avoid at full cost.

The process for declaring that no TV licence is needed is extremely frustrating and poorly designed. Even when trying to clarify legitimate situations, the system and customer service responses feel confusing and unhelpful.
I asked a simple question regarding watching BBC content on a personal device while travelling on a train. I was told that train stations themselves do not require a TV licence, which raises a reasonable question: if an individual is quietly watching BBC content on their own device, why would a shop or business need a licence in that situation?
I also asked the reverse scenario: if I personally do not have a TV licence, but the shop or premises does, would I then be covered to watch BBC content there? If so, when asked “Do you have a TV licence?”, what exactly is the correct answer supposed to be?
Unfortunately, instead of clearly explaining the rules, the staff member repeatedly returned to the same scripted yes-or-no questions. Whenever I asked for clarification, I was interrupted with comments such as “Let me finish” and “You do not understand the point,” followed by the same script being read again without actually addressing the question.
Customer support should focus on explaining policies clearly and professionally, especially when customers are asking reasonable questions about complicated licensing rules. Instead, the experience felt dismissive, repetitive, and unnecessarily confrontational.

I can't log into my account and I have found the whole experience of tying to get hold of an 'Customer Service Advisor' very frustrating!
The options on the phoneline's are very define and if, you want something outside of them you are normally cut of.
What's App was very helpful but, unable to give me a copy of my licence which, I paid for in Feb! and did not receive a copy at the time. If TV licensing actually read this message please can you get in touch!

There really is nothing else to say about this company, we're the only country that has to pay a fee to watch live TV, which you can't even track anyway anymore. But if you don't pay they send these thugs to your house who try and barge their way into your property.
But in this day and age you cannot police people watching live TV, especially when anyone can watch live TV from a phone these days.
The last three thugs that were sent to my house didn't end up walking properly again. Stop sending these poor people do their doom.

It’s super easy to declare no licence needed , just follow the instructions and continue to answer no to questions and agree the declaration, the BBC and Crapita have run out of momentum on chasing as the tide has turned permanently 😜
