I am almost at the end of my Distance Learning studies and I am very pleased with how it has gone so far. I have been able to organise my studies around my work and family commitments without any problems, managing my workload as I progress in a flexible and accessible way. Each assignment contained material that was clear and helpful and the one to one support from the tutor was invaluable throughout. The feeling of achievement after each assignment is priceless.

The course is well structured and the online platform is easy to navigate. I receive prompt, detailed feedback from a very knowledgeable, patient and supportive tutor. The helpful webinars and regular reminders as we approach moderation day are very helpful.

It was very effective

Honestly, I’m part way through my course and have had nothing but problems. Although the tutors always respond to your email and are there they don’t help with anything if you have a problem or don’t understand it. They just send you off to deal with the problem on your own. When trying to find resources and instructions for what you need to do in the assignments it’s like a treasure hunt and none of the information is together. My tutor told me to use a specific website in my essay and to reference it so I did exactly that, I get my feedback and I have been downgraded to a Merit, when I need quite a lot of distinctions for what I want to go onto study at university, and was told in my feedback that I could not use that website because it wasn’t accurate information and wasn’t the right level when I was specifically told to use that website. I’ve spent over £1000 on this course and it’s a complete let down. As someone who has health conditions which is made so much worse by stress this course has done nothing but stress me out and make me poorly. Don’t recommend at all.

I’ve had a really poor experience with this distance learning course. I asked for my assessment codes multiple times before and after the Easter break and received no response. It’s been extremely frustrating, especially as I’ve been charged late fees despite not being given fair access to complete my work. I feel let down, unsupported, and scammed. Definitely wouldn’t recommend unless major improvements are made in communication and student support.

I liked how the tutors keep in touch weekly and are there when you need a tutorial or have any questions.

The tutors were very helpful and it was a good way to increase ucas point by doing this course and gain admission in university wanted.

Good course content and tutors supportive , some frustration re repetitive questions and having to wait over weekends for work to be released when I'm completing in a much shorter time frame. but, other than that, easy to navigate, valuable resources and support/ feedback . Would recommend

Tutors offer good support throughout studies. Great flexibility and website and app are easy to use and access.

My first tutor was non communicative and hard to deal with so I requested a change and from there everything worked much better.
I am not a fan of distance learning and would much rather be in a classroom with actual interaction with tutors and peers.
The content is good but the learning methods are not easy to get to grips with and some of the research material did not load or was not available due to licensing issues. all in all, not the best experience but I guess it could have been worse.

I have had a very positive experience of the course so far and my tutor, has been an incredible help to me throughout the first few months. Nothing was too much trouble, she has been continuously encouraging, professional and kind. Thank you for everything.

I have completed my Access to Higher Education for social sciences. One of my tutors was brilliant and the other one was alright. It took 11 months to complete while working full time and took a lot of determination. My suggestions are to join the facebook group for help as well as to watch the webinars and podcast for each assignment. I acheived 39 distinctions and 6 merits and got into one of my dream uni's as well as got into assessments centres for apprenticeships.

I was so impressed and pleasantly surprised with how simple the enrolment process was. They are very welcoming and provided very quick responses to the queries I had. My Tutor is great, and the dashboard has everything you need to navigate your way around your studies. I highly recommend choosing distance learning centre.

I'm currently studying a HE access course and going to uni in September to study nursing.
I found studying psychology amazing, my tutor responded promptly to any emails, was very patient and kind, always gave advice and help when needed & there's options for tutorials too where you can speak via phone. The knowledge I have now in the subject I will take with me on my journey in nursing 😊

The distancelearningcentre is an independent learning experience. For me it was great as I was able to work at my own pace between work and am on track to going to uni in September. The tutors are clear and helpful and easy to reach.
