Divert Avis 359

Opened an account with DIVERT in March 2025 after a ChatGPT search for waste management for our new premises. The call went well and pricing was reasonable. What wasn't mentioned was the 12 month contract with zero termination clauses.

Bins arrived more than 6 weeks late. The operations manager called me repeatedly asking me to locate them myself. They'd been left at another property. Contact only started after I posted a 1 star review on Trustpilot.

Once the bins arrived I agreed to stay on the basis that service would improve. It didn't. Random non-collections followed, along with charges I never agreed to, explained later as mistakes from other accounts. The ops manager Liam stepped in to sort it.

A year in, I've been rolled into a new contract until 2027 without my signature or consent. In the past 6 months DIVERT have missed my collection 7 times. 5 times they returned later in the week. Twice they didn't collect at all, leaving me with piled waste and extra charges for overloaded bins.

May 2026: an email arrives saying they won't collect because a foreign object was found in my bin. A metal catering table. We're an art supplies company. I suspect fly tipping. DIVERT refused to remove the item, refused to collect, want to charge me for another visit, and twice refused to cancel the contract I never signed up for.

I previously removed my 1 star review in agreement with Liam after he sorted issues DIVERT created. I'm reinstating it so other small businesses know what working with DIVERT can actually look like.

What an excellent job by Peter and Lee! Very friendly and hardworking men for whom nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely recommend their services.

For the first time I had to hire a company to dispose fridge freezer (American Style which is too big for council collection) and had very positive experience!
I think the major part of it was excellent communication with Rowen who always promptly answered all emails with questions.
Guys who came in for collection also were nice and efficient.
On top of that, they were the cheapest out of 4 quotes I obtained.

The only thing that put me off slightly when I got a quote, was having to pay via bank transfer due to risks of hiring a new company. However, since it is established business with very positive reviews I decided to go with it and do not regret it.

Should I need to hire waste disposal company in the future they will be my first call.

Had a pretty positive experience with this company. Much more reasonable pricing on waste removal than my previous broker. A very friendly and helpful employee called Alfie tried to help me get back some money from previous broker who had charged me for bin removal (even though the bin was not being removed). Fast communication from them too, I wasn't waiting days for a response.

We have used Divert a number of times for clearance and their service has been incredible. Great communication and a really friendly, efficient team. Special thanks to Jason who has been on every job for us and to Alfie in the office for quick communication and efficiency. Can't recommend them enough!

Great process from beginning to end. Alfie and Rachel did a great job with no headache. Alfie followed up to make sure that I was happy which was appreciated as most companies never follow up.
