excellent food, my dogs love it!!

Recibí un saco de 3,2 kg (el formato más grande que venden) con fecha de caducidad a menos de 2 meses de la entrega. A dosis normales, ese formato requiere varios meses para consumirse — es físicamente imposible terminarlo antes de que caduque. Cuando contacté con ellos, admitieron no tener stock con mejores fechas, y su única oferta fue un 25% de descuento. Inaceptable. Canal de email no funcional, atención al cliente inexistente. Abrí disputa en PayPal y también fue denegada. Producto inútil, dinero perdido, empresa que vende stock próximo a caducar sin advertirlo. Evitad el formato grande especialmente.

This food is terrible — my dog had bloody diarrhea from it. I also had to spend a lot of money to take him to the vet. Better let him eat meat instead.

Ziwi Pets marketed and sold dog food represented as safe, properly labeled, and within its stated shelf life. Upon receiving the product, I discovered that the “Best By” date appears to have been altered. The bag contains a Best By sticker dated 02/18/2026 placed directly over the original printed date. The underlying date is still partially visible and appears to read 12/06/2025.
I have not received any response from Ziwi Pets after contacted them for the issue.

I started sifting Ziwi food after I found bone fragments in it! And that's what I found during the next sifting! It’s most likely a beetle or cockroach larva (such as a black mealworm or something similar). It could also be a Dermestidae beetle larva. I’m shocked!

I am extremely concerned by the lack of response to the multiple emails I have already sent regarding my recent order, for which I paid over £600. To date, I have received neither an update on delivery nor any acknowledgment of my messages.

This level of service is unacceptable. I require an immediate update on the status of my order, including a confirmed delivery date. If you are unable to provide this, I expect a full refund to be issued without delay.

Please be advised that if I do not receive a clear response within the next 48 hours, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter further through my payment provider and other relevant consumer protection channels.

I urge you to treat this matter with the urgency it demands.

I placed an order on their website during a promotion cause I wanted to try their products. I received both the order confirmation and the invoice, which means the purchase was accepted.
However, the company later refused to ship the full order, saying they would only send part of it. In the end, they cancelled the entire order and refunded me without my consent.
This is not how a serious or trustworthy business should treat customers. I am very disappointed and would not recommend buying from them.

I think they really messed up a very good quality reliable formula and the ingredients listed on the bag are not very transparent. the fact that they added apple pomace to the formula (full of pesticides) and still shows the same amount of protein in the same weight bag is not understandable. i used to give my 59 pound dog 2 ziiwi scoop of old formula either beef or lamb a day plus 2 table spoons of brown rice or quinoa and he was satisfied now with same amount new formula hes still hungry and leaks his paws constantly. my mistake was that ordered al ot of the new formula at once and now i don't want to continue with this new formula. i don't know how to return the remaining 8 pound bags. i feel like ive been scammed.

We have been buying Ziwi peak for years after our dogs were poisoned by Blackhawk product. Our last couple bags of food have left my dog itching all over constantly (starting in May 2023) and not wanting to eat her food and on and off again diarrhea. We didnt put it together until we stopped using it completely. At first she would just look at the food and walk away. I gave the bag to my sister as her dog doesn't have any food sensitivities, and we were assuming our dog just didnt like the flavour anymore... WRONG. We were even planning to taker her to the vet in case she was allergic to something in her environment. It turned out my sister's dog had an even worse reaction to the bag of food and we realised what was happening to our dog - rubbish dog food!!!
We stopped buying/using Ziwi peak immediately and the whole body itching and random diarrhea stopped.
I googled to find Ziwipeak has been bought by a Chinese company in 2021, just like Blackhawk had been years ago and my dogs were severely poisoned.
I should have put it together sooner.
My questions are:
Why aren't there regulations for dog food ingredients in Australia?
How is fair for consumers to pay a premium price because we care for our pet's health and our dogs end up sick?
This is just disgusting.
Feel completely duped and looking for another brand...again!

When I opened my Ziwi Lamb bag last month, there was no measuring cup in it, and I thought that was odd. Half way through the bag, my Belgian Shepherd started vomiting undigested kibble and developed skin rashes all over his body. I finally checked out your web site saying "Fresh Look, Improved Recipes". One of the new additions, e.g., is Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, which is the synthetic name for Vitamin B6 and is made from Petroleum ester and formaldehyde. Once I stopped giving Ziwi, all the symptoms stopped. I contacted Zwii through your web site and did not hear back. I finally sent a message through facebook just heard today a generic dismissive and somewhat defense response. Customers have no way of finding out about the new formula unless they go on Ziwi's web site. There is NO mentioning of the new formula on any of their bags. This needs to be disclosed.

You do know that ZiwiPeak chanced their feeding from more to less food per meal and very little has chanced in the ingredients so it cost us more from the old formula to the new and thats a lot of money since this food is very high cost and i emailed the company about it and ask for a refund and they refuse to give me one since im feeding the old formula for 8 yrs .Please email/call the company for a refund if you feed the old formula Dont let them rip you off and let them get away with it! Ziwi Peak ripped the customers off for a long time of feeding more food than less food !! D.D.

Although the ingredients is great, not all cats like it. I bought a pack for my cat to try and she didn't like it. However, I didn't give 3 stars because of this - the 3 stars is because of the best before date. The food arrives mid June with only 1 month to consume, whilst my cat would need at least 2 weeks to adjust to the new food, therefore can't give full portions.

This food is excellent. It is expensive but the vet bills are more expensive when your cat gets digestive issues, leaky eyes, waxy ears and pancreatitis. This food is species appropriate containing meat, organs and ground bones and a host of minerals. No agar agar, carrageenan, cellulose, gluten, soy, etc. I wish I tried this food years ago. Highly recommend.
