My wife bought a pair of walking shoes for our up coming holiday in the Lake District.
Sue (the lady in the shop) was excellent in understanding my wife requirements and needs. Sue guided her through all of the options available with the pros & cons without any hard sales talk and help us make the best purchase possible.

I came to buy walking boots. There was an excellent range, with a good mix of premium and more modest brands. I was served by Gus, who was really helpful. He was patient as I tried on lots of pairs and very knowledgeable, making valuable suggestions and comments. I've now worn the boots for a few weeks and I'm really pleased with them.

We were assisted by Ollie, and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience.
As a professional Customer Service Training Facilitator, I have very high standards, and Ollie exceeded every one of them.
He was polite, professional, and incredibly kind. His product knowledge was extensive, and he explained everything with such eloquence and patience.
This is exactly the level of delivery that builds genuine brand loyalty. We left totally satisfied.
Blacks is lucky to have him!
It is rare to find a staff member who can balance efficiency with such a high level of personal care. This is precisely the kind of service that ensures customers return.

I recently visited the store twice and Tim served me on both occasions. He was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Tim made a suggestion for a pair of trial trainers that I would have overlooked if it were not for his assistance. I have worn them nearly every day since I purchased them. He also asked how I was getting on with them the second time I went to the shop. Definitely my go to shop from now on! I’m a satisfied customer!

They were great , I'm sorry I didn't get any name .
But I had interaction with 2 members of staff and the manager, they helped me pick the best boot for me ( and waterproofer ), they listened to my concerns about the price.
