Mel did very well and he was very helpful. Sadly she’s left the company now to working out and over but she was very good. Very patient with me. The new shoes are really good. Good product good quality.

Under new management. Instead of being ignored by three male shop assistants 6 months ago, I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door and served straight away by Mel I think it was. Knew her products and was bright and cheery!

Good product but I had to order on line as the local store didn’t have my size, even though my size was showing in stock at the Salisbury store. This caused unnecessary journeys and cost extra to have it delivered. No wonder the shops are all closing down.

Mel fully informed me of Black's return policy, which was very much appreciated.
The whole experience was a pleasure and I would definately go there again.

Craig and his colleague gave us good advice,helping us choose the right boots,coats and walking trousers. They were knowledgeable, friendly, but relaxed and not pushy at all.

After a complicated issue with my walking boots (long saga!) the staff at Salisbury branch were very helpful in achieving a full refund by helping me , along with customer care in Manchester, and also refunded postage. Thank you

I went into Blacks in Salisbury to try to find a replacement pair of Brasher walking boots. My previous pair of Brasher boots were starting to wear on the soles and the upper was showing signs of separation from the sole.
I had ordered a replacement pair online throughBlacks, but Evri managed to 'loose' them somewhere in their depot. In other words they were stolen!
I found the pair I was looking for in store. I asked James if he had a pair in my size in stock. I also explained the problem I had ordering online. He found a pair Brasher boots in my size and they fitted perfectly. The displayed price was £135. The pair I ordered online were £90. When James scanned the new pair at the till they were a few pence under £68. He did explain they were the old design not the newer version. So the same boots I had purchased 4 years ago in the same store. Well done James, I will be shopping in store again.

Nothing was too much trouble. I asked for some replacement shoe insoles, there was one set that matched in the main shop but my wife’s pair was not on display. The assistant went upstairs into the store for 5 minutes and found the right pair.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of being served by two delightful young shop assistants in Blacks in Salisbury (one I think was called Charlie/Charley ) and I was very impressed with their friendly and professional attitude.
I am very happy with the walking boots I’ve purchased and will recommend this shop to others.
