I was very happy with my booking yesterday. Claire sorted me out with a fabulous holiday. She also sorted my Hayes and TUI app for me as I am not good with IT. She went over and beyond to help me .

As usual first class service would not go anywhere else, caring and knowledgible,thank you Clare.

Listened to what I wanted out of a holiday& tailored the package accordingly. Proposing several options within the constraints we’d discussed & agreed. Decision was mine of course but they were willing to discuss the proposed options & highlife the pros & cons of each, in a friendly , timely manner.

Friendly and accommodating, found what we were looking for giving good advice on resort .

After struggling for several days to book a flight & hotel package for Summer 2027 with a well known online only holiday company we decided to head down to our local Hays branch to see if they could help us out as we’ve previously had good experiences with them. The other company kept giving us the accommodation we wanted but when we tried to package that with the flight we wanted their website kept giving us flights to a completely different country even though we’d selected the correct airport code! Other companies we tried online were also unable to offer us exactly what we wanted.

Jennifer in the Spennymoor branch was really helpful taking the time to listen to our requirements, what we were/weren’t prepared to accept as possible alternatives if our 1st choices weren’t available and after a bit of searching eventually found our 1st choice accommodation with flights to the correct destination - happy days. She also helped us with selecting an alternative room choice that brought the final price down by avoiding an under occupancy surcharge and we ended up with better flight times than we’d previously seen online.

The final price paid was a little higher than online quotes but that was mainly because Hays got us a package that included 23kg each checked baggage as standard compared to the hand luggage only quotes that were coming up online. Overall I was much happier with the service in Hays because a) we had the security & peace of mind that we were headed to the correct destination, b) flight choices were better and c) we were able to pay a £300 deposit with the option of paying the rest in instalments as and when or 1 lump 16 weeks before departure.

Whilst it is easier than ever to do it all yourself online these days (and we often do) there can be pitfalls along the way and sometimes it’s best to enlist the help of a professional. Jennifer and Hays proved this.

Jennifer also helped us with some advice and suggestions on possible destinations for a short winter sun break that we are hoping to book later this year so I’ve no doubt we’ll be visiting again in the next few weeks. Thank you.

Excellent experience at Hays Spennymoor. Leah and Aiden were very patient on our visits. Leah was very friendly and helpful when looking at Wimbledon and London trip. I returned the following day when Aiden booked our trip. Would definitely recommend Hays Spennymoor
