I bought a 7 month old Audi a3 tdi sline Black edition with 7300 miles being told by sales person Francesca the car had been serviced and checked and ready to go.
On collecting the car i instantly noticed a dent on the tailgate WHICH Francesca kept rubbing with her finger to think it was going to disappear WHY RUB A DENT?
Which she told they would fix if I returned the car to Edinburgh. I live 150 miles from there so Francesca spoke to her sales manager and told me to get it fixed and I would receive a refund for the repair.
Why as a manager did he not come and talk to me?
Then the fun begun we had a four and a half hour drive ahead of us there was 48miles of fuel left in the tank according to the onboard computer so I stopped at the nearest fuel station and filled it taking nearly £60.00 despite paying the £50.00 fuel surcharge they charge you ?.
When we started our journey on the motorway to south of Manchester the car was horrendous to drive pulling me all over the road. Then there was no screen wash at all in the car SO WHO DID THE SERVICE AND CHECKED THE CAR. ?
WOULD THEY ACCEPT LIABILITY IF I HAD A ACCIDENT HOURS AFTER PICKING THE CAR UP FROM THEM ?
We continued our journey holding on to the steering wheel for my life it was that bad honestly horrendous.
On our return journey back home i decided to pull in to Tebay services as I could not stop the car from wandering across the motorway dangerously . I checked the tyre pressures and the new nearside front tyre they apparently fitted was at 52psi and the offside front tyre was at 26psi AGAIN WHO CHECKED THE CAR ON SERVICE AND WHODID THE MULTPOINT CHECK PLEASE STILL WAITING ON THAT REPORT ?
. After that the car drove fine.
Who would let this happen on a car that is coming from a reputable dealership like Audi?.
After multiple emails with Francesca they eventually refunded the cost to have the dent repaired by Dent master in Manchester having to go through tedious emails to prove i had paid £85.00 plus vat to get it fixed. I have had Audi's and VW cars most of my life dealing with Stirling Audi and Dundee Audi and never had a issue. This is the worst dealership I have ever had experienced ever and would NEVER EVER RETURN.
They lie about service and multi point checks and the car having reversing cameras that it does not have.
I ASKED TO RETURN THE CAR FOR ANOTHER ONE THEY HAD WITH MY 30 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE TO BE TOLD I DONT HAVE A VALID REASON. WAS NOT AS DESCRIBED ON ADVERT THAT I REQUESTED TO BE TOLD THEY DELETE THEM AS SOON AS A CAR IS SOLD. ?
Please if you are considering buying a AUDI SHOP ELSEWHERE THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED.
TERRIBLE AFTER SALES AND LIES ABOUT THE REVERSING CAMERAS SAYING READ THE SMALL PRINT ALL DISCRIPTIONS ARE NOT ACCURATE.

Incompetent and negligent sales staff, which is disappointing as we are long-standing Audi supporters and repeat Lookers customers. Unfortunately, customers are treated as numbers rather than individuals.
This experience has been enough to ensure we will not return. It is also disappointing that Audi vehicles are not always matched by the standard of sales service provided by franchise dealerships.

One of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. I brought my car in for repairs, a full service, and to order a new key. They gave me the total cost and timeframe, I agreed, and then I heard nothing for over a month. I had no idea what was happening with my car. After repeatedly trying to reach them, I was eventually told the dealership had been sold to a new owner and they would update me soon. Later they informed me that the new key still needed to be ordered and would take another 10 days, which I also agreed to. Now another month has passed. Every single day I call, and every single day I get the same routine: “What’s your name? Your plate number? We’ll call you back.” And they never call. Today I finally received a message delivered by the dealership’s own “Prime Minister” — Victoria — through the receptionist, simply saying the key hasn’t arrived yet and they will contact me later. At this point the whole process feels more bureaucratic than a government office. To make things worse, my car is now showing an inspection reminder on the screen, which means they didn’t even bother resetting it after the service I paid for. Terrible communication, no follow-up, and a complete lack of professionalism. I genuinely regret choosing this dealership and would not recommend them to anyone.

My 2014 Audi A6 had been brilliant until earlier this year (2025). A suspension and adaptive headlights problem appeared which local garages couldn't fix. Audi Edinburgh were given the vehicle to service and fix the problem.
It came back from that repair with the major problem apparently solved, but with the air-conditioning not working. They weren't interested in looking at that new problem, so a local garage fixed it - quite simply thankfully. Now, although the car sits in my drive unused, the suspension and headlight problem is back ! I put in a complaint on 26 Oct on the Lookers web site, to which they aim to reply within 14 days, but haven't. I wrote then directly to the service manager to point out the failures in car and customer service with no response. Trade offer for the car has plummeted because of the fault and I've wasted £2000 on a car now de-valued to £5K.
What a hopeless repair job, and hopeless customer service from a Nationwide company that's obviously too big for its boots ?
Despite the reply from them - which I acted upon / they continued to ignore me and the car has gone at rock bottom value to webuyanycar. A sad ending for a great car thanks to pathetic treatment by Lookers Audi Edinburgh

We bought our Audi Q3 back in April. The service in general was good but not knowing all the technology on the latest cars we were a bit shocked to find out that our Audi Connect ceased to work. We did not realise that it has to be renewed with a payment. We bought a car that we thought had all the functions working without any further payments.
This should have all been explained to us at point of sale.
Audi contacted me after this review and sorted out my complaint very efficiently, full marks to Audi customer relations hence I have adjusted my review.

The company (Gavin Tuohy) demonstrated that it cared due to the attention given by Mr Tuohy during the whole process. A competitive price was given compared to the Audi dealers I had contacted for a similar Q3. Mr Tuohy gave us sound advice with regard to my own car which made the transaction easier. I found that Mr Tuohy to be very efficient and gave me the attention expected in purchasing a new car. During the handover, Mr Tuohy, explained all the basics and guided me through the connection process to my phone. I have no hesitation in recommending, if buying a new or used car, that they can do no better than asking for Mr Tuohy to be their first point of contact. Thank you Edinburgh Audi.
