It wasn’t a pleasant experience at all. First of all, my booking through BookMyGarage was for £215, but when I arrived the price had increased to around £241, which was not clearly explained to me.
I also asked them to change all my headlight bulbs, and they quoted £65 just for labour to replace the bulbs, which I agreed to. While I was waiting, the mechanic came to me and said that two out of the three bulb pairs I had brought were the wrong size. I asked if they had the correct ones available, and he said yes, but they would cost £45 per bulb. I declined and asked them to simply reinstall the old bulbs.
However, I was still charged labour as if all the bulbs had been changed. After I got home and it became dark, I noticed the headlights were not set properly. The beams were pointing too high into the trees and the dipped lights were behaving like high beams.
Now I will have to visit another garage to fix the issue and pay additional labour again.
Overall, this was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience. I would not recommend this garage.

I booked my KUGA in for a windscreen washer fault. This could have been determined by simply operating the washer lever to see what the problem was. Instead I was charged an exorbitant £140 diagnostic fee in addition to to repairing a blocked filter the bill totalling £230. If I had taken it to my local garage it would have cost £25-30. I addition as an elderly disabled driver, I was unable to park in one of only two disabled spaces on the site because of unauthorised cars parked without showing a blue badge. When I complained to the reception staff I was met with only derisory interest and no effort was made to get the cars moved. (Why does a site as big as Lookers Middlesborough have only two disabled spaces?)

Since owning a new Ford Puma ST Line we have discovered that the chrome gearstick has a very thin coating of chrome over a yellowish brass type metal, which is very easily scratched if e.g. wearing a wedding ring. Despite having driven only 26000 miles the gearstick surface now looks like a brass yellow colour because the thin chrome has worn off. We are disappointed that Ford did not use a solid chrome finish rather than a cheap veneer over a different colour metal. When we approached this local dealership they asked us to bring the car to the dealership, but subsequently refused to replace the item under warranty because they implied it was caused by wear and tear (scratched) which is not covered by warranty. We feel that their decision was unsupportive and also calls into question the quality of materials used by Ford in their latest models. We have never experienced this issue with Ford or other cars before so feel standards have definitely fallen there. Perhaps Ford should now advise all their new customers to remove their wedding rings every time they wish to drive their new cars because the cheaply made parts can no longer withstand normal wear and tear?
