I was told by customer service that I didn’t need to do anything. Because my truck was out of service. But according to the Irs, I needed to file that it was suspended. But I was told different. I filed. After research. But you guys told me no need.

I'm sorry for the confusion here. There is an important distinction that may explain the different answers you received.
If a truck has not been used on a public highway during the tax period, there is not yet a Form 2290 filing requirement for that vehicle. If the truck is being used but is expected to travel 5,000 miles or less during the year, a Form 2290 should be filed reporting the tax as suspended.
If we misunderstood what you meant when you told us the truck was "out of service," I'd really like the opportunity to review that conversation and make sure we're giving the clearest possible guidance. Please give us a call at 909-596-0050, Monday–Friday, 5am–5pm Pacific.
