review 2 from other account I’ve spent 20 years as a landlord and my entire professional career working around properties, and if there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that 'cheap' electricians are usually a false economy. I’ve tried the budget options in the past, and they were either ineffective, unreliable, or simply didn't have the technical depth to handle complex issues.
When a burst pipe flooded a kitchen in one of my properties recently, I needed an expert. After several other local electricians failed to even return my call, I contacted Adam at 786 Electricals.
He arrived within the hour for the emergency safe isolation, and the difference in quality was immediate. He was calm, professional, and clearly highly skilled. He returned the next day to re-install the sockets and light fittings, meticulously testing the circuits for moisture ingress to ensure the kitchen was truly safe to use again.
What’s interesting is that while Adam offers a far superior, high-value service, he really isn't much more expensive than the 'cheap' guys who couldn't even be bothered to show up. He is a hard worker who delivers a premium standard of work and expects a fair day's pay for it. Brilliant electrician who has become my go-to
I've used 786 Electricals twice now and Adam has been great each time - professional, friendly, upfront about cost, always on time and quickly getting to the root of the problem. Most recently, Adam helped get my electrics back up in the middle of the night, after a plumbing issue caused water penetration into my kitchen and turned off the lights and my Ring doorbell at the mains. I couldn`t find a lightswitch for my living room. I contacted 786 Electricals and both Adam and Jim came on the same day.
The job was far more complex due to previous badly installed wiring. The changes were explained clearly, the switch installed and even the side wall lights were made safe and workable.
All done and cleaned up in under an hour!
I highly recommend them and will be using them in the future.

Cannot recommend 786 Electricals enough. They are very professional and produce high quality work, taking extra time to explain things and answer any queries. Very tidy, cleaning up as they go along. Adam even made safe some cowboys previous work that was unsafe!!! Lovely people who felt more like friends by the end of their work. Already planning my next jobs for them.

Never recommend this electrician. I feel I was ripped off. They take £165 before they come to the house. The job was not completed. The same job was completed by another electrician for £30. Be careful, wait for a high quote and bill.

Our records show that our team spent over three hours on-site diagnosing a complex issue with a flickering lighting circuit. The £165 fee was for this in-depth diagnostic service, which included a full assessment of the wiring and fuse board. During this process, we discovered that the entire electrical system was from the 1960s and had several serious safety issues, including faulty wiring and a lack of proper earthing.
As professional electricians, our top priority is always safety. We couldn't, in good conscience, simply re-energize a circuit that was a fire and shock hazard. We isolated the dangerous circuit and provided a detailed estimate for the full, safe repair. We understand that our quote was significantly higher than the £30 you were charged by another electrician, but a repair for that price could only mean that the underlying safety issues were not addressed.
We stand by our professional advice and our commitment to your safety. We have hundreds of positive reviews online from customers who appreciate our dedication to providing safe, reliable, and compliant solutions, even when it means recommending a more extensive repair. We wish you all the best.
