Very professional company ; excellent customer service
Everyone was friendly and helpful throughout.
We were acting on behalf of elderly neighbours who had problems with their automatic garage door.
Prior to contacting Access, we had tried two other firms - one didn't want to get involved once they knew the make of the door involved whilst the other attended but the 'repair' did not work for long !
We thought we would need a completely new door but Access managed to repair it very effectively and saving our neighbours a considerable amount of money. We were most impressed by Access'excellent customer service and professionalism.

Excellent service
This morning Bart form your New Malden branch arrived on time to remove an old and broken garage door and replace it with a lovely brand new one. He got straight on with the job although there were a few obstacles - did the whole thing in about 2 and half hours. He was polite and helpful and I would recommend Access to anyone. Many thanks. Stylish, solid and beautifully finished.
We’re really pleased with our new garage door. The quality is excellent and it feels very solid and well made. The finish is clean and modern, and it has really improved the overall look of the front of the house.
The installation was smooth and everything was fitted neatly and professionally. The doors open and close easily, and the build feels sturdy and secure.
We particularly like the design — it looks much more premium than we expected and ties in beautifully with the rest of our home.
Overall, a great product and we’re very happy with the result.

I am also impressed because a couple of years ago we'd sought their advice about putting an automatic opener on our existing door and they assessed that the door was getting too old & it wasn't a good idea to change - this was excellent advice or we could have paid twice.

The garage door is now far stronger than the old one which was broken into. Access Garage Doors responded quickly to enquiry and with two weeks the installation was done and very satisfied I am.

Unexpected minimum labour/call out charges!!
I would not recommend this company based on my experience. I recently ordered a replacement remote for my garage door and booked an engineer to program it.
The engineer attended and programmed the remote successfully, but the actual work carried out appeared to take only a few minutes. During the visit he briefly sprayed WD-40 lubricant on certain parts of the door and replaced the battery in another remote. The time spent actually working on the door was very brief and the engineer was not particularly helpful – for example, I had to move items in the garage myself to access the control unit and there was no offer to assist.
I was then charged £111 for the service visit. When I queried this before paying, the company explained that this is their minimum labour charge for any work up to 20 minutes, which was not clearly explained beforehand.
I was also charged £90 for the remote control (a **Hörmann HSE4 BS remote control). After the visit I discovered that the same remote can be purchased from many retailers online for roughly £35–£50, which makes the markup quite significant.
While the remote works, the overall experience left me feeling that the cost was disproportionate to the work carried out and the price of the part supplied.
I would recommend that anyone using this company ask very clearly about minimum labour charges and the cost of replacement parts before booking, and do your research as the costs can be significantly higher than expected.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I’m sorry the visit left you feeling disappointed, particularly in relation to the cost versus the amount of work you felt was carried out.
To clarify the pricing, when the appointment was booked we confirmed in writing that this visit was scheduled as a service and remote supply/programming, and we also set out our charging structure. The £25 + VAT rate applies only to a visual inspection where no work is carried out. Where any works are completed, our minimum labour charge for up to 20 minutes is £92.50 + VAT (£111 inc VAT), plus any parts supplied.
On the day, the engineer supplied and programmed the new remote, replaced the battery in another remote, lubricated relevant moving parts, carried out operational checks and testing, and demonstrated the manual release. While some of these actions are quick when done by an experienced engineer with the correct equipment, they form part of a standard visit to ensure the door is operating safely and reliably. Our tracking records show the engineer was on site for approximately 22 minutes.
We’re also sorry you felt the engineer wasn’t as helpful as you expected. For safety reasons, we do ask customers to ensure access is clear, but we always aim to be courteous and supportive throughout the visit.

Although Access Garage Doors have not yet installed my replacement door as I'm renovating and enlarging the garage space and door opening - I wanted to comment as it relates to my experience so far.
Quite simply ... Superb!
The entire team has been extremely helpful in their guidance and response. Scott Shamuluas, Project Manager, has gone above and beyond ensuring the right door and proper fit, working with my General Contractor and Structural Engineer in my garage space redesign. Additionally, Scott keeps me abreast of what is going on and the cohesiveness between Scott and my guys is, truly, appreciated.
On the office front, Nicole, Hope and Andy could not be more friendly and supportive. They are an absolute pleasure to speak with.
I'm anxiously looking forward to the completion of my garage rebuild and subsequent garage door installation knowing that the team at Access Garage Doors is doing all they can to guarantee exactly what I wanted. They are, all, wonderful to work with!

I had three quotes for my garage roller door, and Access Garage Doors stood head and shoulders above the others.
Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, even when I changed my mind about the outside surround.
My garage now has loads more space compared to the old up-and-over door, and the house is noticeably warmer too.
Well worth it.
