AgentSmartly exists because most exam prep sites overwhelm you. Thousands of questions. Hundreds of concepts. No clear path. We did the opposite. We studied the CA Real Estate Salesperson Exam and identified exactly 144 key concepts across 7 topics that actually get tested. Not 500. Not 300. 144. Every concept on AgentSmartly is there for a reason. If it's not tested, it's not here. The method is simple: review the key concepts for a topic, practice questions on that same topic, check your Exam Readiness Score. Repeat for all 7 topics. That's the whole system. No textbooks. No fluff. No guessing what to study next. Just the most direct path to passing the CA Real Estate Salesperson Exam. We built AgentSmartly because we needed it ourselves. The founder failed the exam on the first attempt — not from lack of effort, but from studying the wrong things. So we built the tool we wished existed: focused, structured, and ruthlessly efficient. 500+ students have already used AgentSmartly to pass and get their license. The method works. If you're preparing for the California Real Estate Salesperson Exam and want a clear, proven system — not another overwhelming prep course — AgentSmartly is built for you.

passed my CA exam on the 2nd try!

Failing my first try at the Ca real estate exam sucked. My old study guides were just way too dense. AgentSmartly was a total game-changer. They skip all the textbook fluff and just focus on the core concepts that actually matter. The dashboard immediately showed that I was bombing the contract section, so I knew exactly what to fix. Plus, the site works great on a phone, so I just did quick practice questions on my couch. Used it for 4-weeks and finally passed last week. If you're feeling overwhelmed by huge prep books/courses, just get this. It worked for me.

Hey Kevin, congrats on passing the California real estate salesperson exam — and thank you for writing this out in such detail! 🎉

Really glad the dashboard flagged your contract section weak spot early, that's exactly what it's there for. Cutting the textbook fluff and focusing on the core concepts that actually show up on the CA DRE exam is the whole point of AgentSmartly, so it's great to hear that clicked for you. And love that you were able to knock out practice questions on your phone between other things — that flexibility matters more than people expect going into exam prep.

Four weeks of focused study beats months of unfocused review any day. Congrats again, and welcome to the industry — go get that first listing!

ok so I have to write this this because…

ok so I have to write this this because I promised myself if I ever actually passed this exam I would leave a review, lol.

Background - I'm a single mom. two kids(7&10), and failed the CA salesperson exam TWICE. Like sat there both times staring at questions going "I definitely read this somewhere" and just blanking. After the second fail I cried in my car in the Costco parking lot, not gonna lie. I remember thinking maybe I'm just too old for this or too tired or whatever excuse my brain wanted to give me that day.

The problem was never that I didn't study. It's that I have zero uninterrupted time. Like none, my "study sessions" were 10 mins here, maybe 20 if bath time went smoothly, sometimes literally sitting in the pickup line at school with my phone. I couldn't do the "whole block off 3 hours and read the textbook" thing everyone recommends.

A friend from a FB group told me about AgentSmartly and I was honestly skeptical bc I'd already wasted money on 2 other prep courses that didn't work for me. But the way it's broken up into those key concepts made it actually usable in small chunks. I'd do like 5 concepts during my lunch break at my job, then practice questions after the kids were asleep. The scoring thing helped me too bc I could literally see which topics I sucked at(contracts, if you're wondering — still don't like contracts) instead of just re-studying everything blindly like I did first 2 times.

Took my third attempt in June and actually passed. I sat in my car after and kind of stared at the screen for a minute like is this real.

If you're a parent or just someone with a insane schedule and you've failed before — it's not you, you probably just need something that fits into the little pockets of time you actually have instead of pretending you have hours to spare. This worked for me when nothing else did.

Jordan, thank you so much for writing this — and congratulations on passing the California real estate salesperson exam on your third attempt. 🎉

Your car-in-the-Costco-parking-lot moment hit me right in the chest. That's exactly the kind of exhaustion I built AgentSmartly to fight against, because "just study harder" advice completely ignores what real life with two kids and a full-time job actually looks like. You didn't need more hours, you needed a CA real estate exam prep method that fit into the minutes you actually had — and that's the whole idea behind breaking the DRE content into small, standalone key concepts instead of demanding a mythical 3-hour block.

I'm especially glad the scoring/accuracy breakdown helped you pinpoint contracts as your weak spot. That's the difference between re-reading a 500-page textbook cover to cover and studying smarter, not longer.

Seriously, thank you for sharing this so openly. If there's one single mom or exhausted parent who reads your review before their own next attempt, it might be exactly what gets them to try a different approach instead of giving up. Congrats again, and welcome to the industry!

Saved my time and money

I was incredibly stressed about financing my new career and only had a tight 3-week window to study, so I couldn't afford to waste time or money failing the California Exam. I forced myself into a strict daily routine of tackling 40 practice questions and mastering 10 key concepts on AgentSmartly, which kept my preparation incredibly efficient without burning me out. Watching my Exam readiness score climb day by day gave me the peace of mind I desperately needed. Thanks to this fast, hyper-focused approach, I walked into the test center confident, passed on my very first try.

Dana, congrats on passing on your very first try — and thank you for laying out exactly how you did it! 🎉

A tight 3-week window while starting a new career is no small thing to study around, so it's great to hear that tackling 40 practice questions and 10 key concepts a day gave you a routine you could actually stick to. That's the point of breaking the California real estate exam content down into small, focused pieces instead of one overwhelming pile — it turns "study for the CA exam" into something you can actually schedule.

And I love that watching your Exam Readiness Score climb daily is what kept you going. That's exactly why it's there — so you're not just hoping you're ready, you can see it.

Congrats again, Dana, and welcome to the industry!

Passed my CA exam on the first try!!!yah!!!!!

Honestly,I was completely drowning in those massive real estate textbooks/videos until I found AgentSmartly. Instead of making you memorize hundreds random terms, it just narrows everything down to the exact core concepts you actually need for the California exam. It’s super straight to the point, explains all those tricky state exam traps in plain English, and mobile experience was wonderful so easy to study on my phone whenever I had a few mins. It doesn’t have videos or anything flashy, but it completely stopped my study anxiety and helped me pass without wasting hours on fluff.

Sophia — first try. Love to see it.

Drowning in textbooks and videos is such a real experience with the CA real estate exam — there's no shortage of material, but almost none of it tells you what actually matters. That's the whole reason AgentSmartly exists: cut everything down to the core concepts the California real estate salesperson exam actually tests, explain them in plain English, and get out of your way.

The mobile experience you mentioned is something we care a lot about. A few minutes on your phone between tasks, consistently, beats a three-hour cram session that leaves you anxious and burned out.

And the study anxiety piece — that's real. When you don't know what to focus on, everything feels urgent. Once you know exactly what's on the exam and what isn't, that pressure lifts.

Congratulations on passing, Sophia. Go enjoy that license. 🏡

Finally, I passed!!! But it shouldn't have taken that long

I'm not going to sugarcoat it —failing the California real estate salesperson exam twice was humiliating. I'd tell people I was "still studying" because I was too embarrassed to admit I'd already sat for it. Twice.

I'd used other two different prep courses. Studied hard both times. Walked out of that testing center after my second failure genuinely asking myself if I was just NOT cut out for this.

I found AgentSmartly through thread last month and figured — what's one more shot.

It was different. It's very CA-specific. The practice questions actually reflected how the DRE exam thinks — the logic, the traps, the edge cases in topics like transfer of property and agency law that had blindsided me before. I wasn't just memorizing. I was finally understanding.

3 weeks later I walked out of that testing center and just sat my car for a minute. Passed.

One honest note: AgentSmartly is newer and has fewer reviews than the bit-name sites — which almost stopped me from trying it. Don't let that be the reason you sleep on it.

If you've failed before and you're reading this at midnight wondering what you're doing wrong — it might just be the tool, not you. AgentSmartly was the difference for me.

— Finally licensed.

Emily — thank you for writing this. Seriously.

Failing twice and still showing up a third time takes a different kind of grit. The fact that you sat in your car after passing and just took a moment — that image says everything.

You nailed exactly what we built AgentSmartly to fix: the CA real estate salesperson exam isn't just hard because of volume — it's hard because of how the DRE frames questions around topics like transfer of property, agency law, and financing. Generic prep courses teach definitions. AgentSmartly teaches the logic behind them, so you're not guessing when the question is worded sideways.

Your note about the review count is something we hear, and it's fair. AgentSmartly is newer — but reviews like yours are exactly how people preparing for the California real estate exam find us and decide to give it a shot.

Congratulations on your license. Go do great things with it. 🏡

Thank you AgentSmartly!

I found AgentSmartly through Youtube. before my first attempt, I spent 1-2 days going through the practice exams - and fell just short with a 67/70.

I made the mistake of switching to another platform for my second attempt and actually did worse. After talking with CJ, I came back and committed to really learning the key concepts ann working through the practice exams properly. The progression chart made a huge difference in keeping me focused.

Third time's the charm - I passed! What sets AgentSmartly apart is that it teaches you to understand the material, not just memorize answers. No matter how a question was worded on the state exam, I felt confident in my choice. Thank you AgentSmartly!
