Damaged my car because they couldnt be bothered to replace a broken brush head . Garage blames air serv and air serv blame the garage . Lets just say all the fluids were empty too . So your paying for water and a scratching brush . Ill try to add some pics. I spoke to a lovely lady at customer service called abbey . But unfortunately had no luck getting any kind of apology or compensation. Ill update when if I hear back however given the 2 star reviews they have it looks like ill be back in the small claims court . Save your money and get your own jet wash is my advice .

Overcharged, my card was charged £8 instead of £2.
Completed the refund request form twice now. Still no response after 7 weeks.
Shocking service.

First time I used the jet wash at my local petrol station and found this very easy to use and worked well

Doesn’t deserve any stars , tapped my card five times on the air serve jet wash machine , did not work . Money taken out of my account, filled out a refund form sent to me by a member of staff by email and did not receive a refund or any follow up, I had to go through my bank in the end. Looking at the other reviews similar issues, I’m glad I’ve put in a claim but shouldn’t have to even do that with my bank in the first place.

Used the hand jet wash at the Flagstaff Island services near Ashby de la Zouch.

No foam came out of the machine. Asked in the petrol station and they said regular problems with the car wash but they can’t deal with them. Provided with a link for a refund.

Refund form completed over a week ago. Not even an acknowledgement received so far never mind the £8 refund.

Tried using our local car wash, the payment machine restarted itself after I tapped for payment and then the whole machine just stopped working. Checked my card transactions and could see £12 had been taken. Filled in the relevant form and emailed as well, absolutely zero response (hint - if you have the time to check here for poor reviews and reply then try making the time to answer emails at least acknowledging that you will deal with refunds), and this was all 3 weeks ago. Awful company - avoid if you can.

Same experience as so many others here - put money onto the car vacuum machine at my local Morrisons only to discover it was completely blocked. Went into the petrol station naively thinking they would sort a refund and was told Air Serv own the machine and ‘no one ever gets a refund so there’s no point giving you their contact details.’ Found the refunds form on their website, filled it in, over a fortnight has now passed with no communication and certainly no refund. Have spoken to my card company about a chargeback today who said Air Serv is well known to them as so many customers don’t get refunded by them and have to resort to chargebacks. I think these machines need to come with a clear warning that they are owned by a third party company who doesn’t do refunds …

Well where do I start after taking my card payment and no jet wash don’t work after trying all the settings I went into the garage to say what had happened. I was told by the shop manager that I had to contact via the email address on the machine. So I did then was told to fill the form out I’m still waiting nearly 5 days later and now not answering my e mails stay away from air -serv uk joke

Paid money for air to fill tyres at Texaco garage on Pensby Road and machine did not work. Garage attendant said it wasn’t their problem and told me to contact air serv. Phoned them and was told to fill in online form, which took a while as it was convoluted. No response from them and no refund! It’s only £1.50 but a principle is at stake.

Used a jetwash at my local petrol station. Took the money off my card and nothing came out of the hoses. Informed staff in the petrol station who stated as it was a card transaction I needed to contact Air-serve. After over a month back and forward on emails filling in forms and answering additional questions I was then told 'although we are the manufacturer of the machine, the site is fully responsible for refunds'
What a joke!! Why do they have a refund for card transactions form on their website then?!?

On Saturday 11th of July 2026 around 4pm, the Jet wash at Cheadle Heath Morrisons (Stockport) took my money - £6 - but didn't start. There's no help line number on the machine. The branding on the machine is for the company MFG- I looked up their number on the internet and tried to speak to them twice but their helpline is so distorted it is impossible to hear the advisor at all - I phoned twice. I went to the petrol station at Morrisons - also operated by MFG. There was just one guy working - one person responsible for the whole garage - is this acceptable? He said he would have to come and check the machine but he was the only one working so he couldn't. He eventually wrote down an email address but when I tried it, that didn't work so I went back to the garage and eventually got a working email address which was an air-serve address. I was sent a link to a refund request page which iI completed - but still no response. One star because I don't trust the machines any more and Air Serve should help their customers contact them if things - ie the machines - go wrong. I will never use one of their machines again and won't be using MFG garages either - their customer service was no use to me.

Air Serve till haven't refunded me after 10 days -see their comment below - just how many refunds are they having to deal with - a lot of their machines must be taking money and then not working.

I don’t generally use petrol station car washes but I wanted to save money so I’m decided to give my local petrol station jet wash a try.
I was apprehensive but it was easy to use, steps given which makes it easy for a novice like me. The wax was fantastic, I expected a small amount but quite the opposite.
Will be using it again to save money.

This is the most diabolical situation that a retailer like Esso has got themselves into. I paid £8 for an 8 minute car wash, tapped to pay, pressed the appropriate buttons and not a drop of water came out. Went into complain and the attendant held up a sheet with air serve details to complain. No responsibility whatsoever from the local Esso staff. It seems these machines are on most forecourts now and it seems a high level of breakdowns occurs. My email from 3 days ago for a refund has been ignored to date and no acknowledgement whatsoever. That tells me a lot about the type of company air serve are. I did not get what I paid for so get a move on with providing a refund.

The new car wash in Sunderland took a £12 payment but did not work. The garage assistant also tried to help but the machine still failed. I was informed by the ESSO garage they aren't allowed to issue refunds and requested that I contact AIR -serv. I've since filled in a form online but still no refund. Reading other comments this seems to be a common problem.

I used the air machine at my local garage to get air for my tyres and I also needed screenwash. The machine was very easy to use, topped up all my tyres, and filled up with screenwash with no issues. Whilst there I decided to gave my car a thorough hoovering out, which I'm glad I did as the suction is quite strong, so this had cleaned my car better than my hoover at home! Will always be using these machines!

Great service, excellent product, top notch chemicals - a superb shiny car! Would highly recommend!

Use the machines regularly at several different service stations, always work great without any problems

If I could rate zero I would. Absolute scam. AVOID AT YOUR OWN COST. The machines do not work. They fail to provide a service you have paid for. I am currently waiting on around £10 refund from several different machines used in Lancashire and Yorkshire. Neither have provided a service. To get a refund you fill in a form and never get your money back. BIGGEST SCAM GOING. THEY WILL KEEP TAKING YOUR MONEY BUT NEVER REFUNDING IT. IF YOU USE CASH YOU STILL WONT GET A REFUND AS THE PETROL STATIONS HAVE NO SAY AS ITS AIR SERVE COMPANY NOT THE PETROL STATION AND WAITING FOR A REFUND JUST DONT HOLD YOUR BREATHE !!!!!!!!

The vacuum machine took my money when it wasn’t working. No refund given. They say to get it from the service station, the service station say get it from them…
They should make sure the service station attendants are trained in what to do when this happens or at least pop a sign on the machine that it isn’t working.
Terrible service!
