The service department was great in working through a discontinued product and a feasible alternative for my need. The shipping process was good with frequent updates from the Royal Mail.

Sailing Blocks: Allen's core range of blocks are available in 20 to 60mm sheave sizes and feature Allen dynamic bearing technology. Twin rows of stainless steel ball bearings running on a stainless steel axle. The result is minimal friction and a long lasting high performance product. Sailing Cleats: Inventors of the origional aluminium cam cleat. Allen cam cleats are available in two sizes and two materials, ensuring there is a cleat suitable for most appilcations on yacht and dinghies.

exact same sail slides
I was able to find the exact same sail slide as original to my Westerly Conway mainsail. I received the package of slides in good condition. They mounted easily on the mainsail shackles and greatly improve the slide on the mast track.

Very slow delivery
Ordered 2nd, despatched 3rd, arrived 10th December - that’s Royal Mail 24 hour service and I live in the same county as Allen’s site. Given the £4.50 charge for delivery I think you need to use a better courier!

Thanks for the feedback, Bruno. A statement at the top of the "basket" page states "All orders are shipped from our UK warehouse. We advise all customers to check import duties for their country of delivery."
I like your Produkt, but you did not mention taxes
I like your Produkt, but the transport cost are high,
what is not acceptable ist that I had to pay tax of about 15€ this was not mentioned.

We’re sorry to see that you are not happy with your shopping experience with us. We do have a note in the ‘basket’ section of our website which highlights the need to pay import duty if the order is shipped outside of the UK.
