Avoid This Dealership—Unnecessary and Overpriced Repair Suggestions
I had a very disappointing experience at Allen Honda in College Station, Texas. I took my car in for a diagnosis after experiencing issues, only to be told that I needed a new transmission, which would cost $8,600. After further investigation, I discovered that the real issue was a damaged sensor—one that had failed due to a faulty battery that I had paid $290 for them to install just a few months prior.
What was a simple $20 repair turned into an overwhelming, expensive suggestion for a major replacement. This feels like a clear case of upselling unnecessary services, which is both frustrating and dishonest. I feel misled and taken advantage of.
I encourage others to be cautious and seek a second opinion before committing to any significant repairs at this dealership. Based on my experience, I would not recommend them for service or repairs.
