I’ve been dealing with Roz Allsop since early 2017 helping my friend with 3 sales , a purchase and an estate , then had two buyers drop out of my sale , sold to the third buyer and then purchase another property . Each sale and purchase had their own issues due to the complexities of conveyancing . The worst experience of my life - I dealt with Roz Allsop, one of the partners so the expectation was high.
Sadly not the reality - poor timely responses to emails if I actually received a response: numerous times had to chase actions and even at the end of the process, I had to email to ask if completion had taken place.
Maybe this was because I did not have a million pound house to sell - hugely disappointed in the whole experience - stress levels as a result at an all time high.
Do think twice about using this company

As a retired police officer I was acquainted with many of the local solicitor firms. It was an easy decision to choose Allsop Durn solicitors and I'm glad that I did.
My point of contact was David Durn and from the outset he handled the sale of my property and the purchase of my new house. I was kept fully informed of the progress made and he responded to my questions almost immediately. His colleagues that handled other queries were also extremely efficient and just as diligent in processing documentation.

I recently just bought my first property using Allsop Durn & Dearlove Solicitors and have been really impressed throughout with the high level of service which I received. Rozz Allsop was fantastic at keeping me informed throughout by email and was always available to call and speak with directly. The whole process was straight forward and easy going. Rozz presented me prior exchange with a fantastic 10 page report into the work ADD had completed in preparation for my property purchase which was informative and easy to read and to comprehend and understand the implications of the various searches carried out, in addition though Rozz and the team were always encouraging of me to call them if there was anything I required any further clarity about or anything that I might have thought about relevant to the sale. Rozz was absent at one point briefly for a few days in the process and can also say that the locum solicitor Dawn was also very informative and warming to my needs and concerns. What was also really great about Rozz's approach was providing me electronic copies of everything as the process progressed which is nice to have and allowed me to feel confident and at ease with everything throughout.
