The provider they matched took $600 for parts and never delivered. There is no way to vet their providers, contractors or All Star Pros. It's likely a scam website with no email or contact details. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE OR THEIR CONTRACTORS!

Lie about pricing and upcharge the shit out of you. Wanted to charge us $348 for a $18 job. Absolute scam do not waste your time

I was misled when researching a local business in Rutherford, NJ that could service the central A/C brand in my house during a recent heatwave. The GOOGLE search supplied information of "two college graduates" who has supposedly started a company to provide great service to their community. When calling it was very confusing to be connected with an individual who spoke English as a 2nd language, showed up in an unmarked/no company logo vehicle with his technical assistant and seriously overcharged me for the service provided. Their invoice was from AIRFLOW 365 Plumbing & HVAC based in Paterson, 551-204-7835. Their reviews are probably self-made. When calling them back to say I'd been overcharged they wouldn't answer and when calling All Star Pros the answering service is automated artificial intelligence that does not answer any customer satisfaction issues. After multiple attempts to reach a human being I kept getting lots of calls and emails from Angie's List providers asking if I still needed to repair my A/C and oblivious to a competitor already having been here. It is sad that automated AI and misdirection is what companies rely on these days to make their money by deceiving people, will have to keep with word of mouth.

What a joke! They advertise what I need, then no one seems to do that and one vendor didn't listen and simply said, we don't do that and hung up!!!! Don't even bother

Said it was a local company set up by college grads. When I called up to get a quote for moving a piano 4 miles down the road, she couldn't give me a quote. The call centre was out-souced also- Not a local business and a waste of time

If I could I would give this company/repair man a “0” star. Like others I put my info in and almost immediately I received a call from a repair man by the name of Rafael in the mesquite area. He came out and gave me a quote for $700 to repair my fridge (evaporator motor ) and dryer (belt, rollers, and pulley). I Zelle’d him $600 for parts and he said $100 for labor when job completed. When he came back out to fix my appliances, he brought another man with him and once completed he said I owed him the $100 plus an additional $300 for the extra work. Thing is he couldn’t tell me what extra work he did NOR would he provide me with a corrected invoice upon my request. He said he would send one but as of today, I still have not received it 😡. Once I used the dryer, it displayed a D95 code. I sent a text to him on 5/23/25 letting him know that there was still a problem with the dryer and he said he would be out on Tuesday the following week. Told him that was not acceptable that we needed our dryer fixed that day or the next day and his response was sorry can’t come out today or tomorrow, I’ll see you on Tuesday. I had to call my son and grandson out to finish cleaning out the exhaust pipe which Rafael should have done from the beginning. I sent a text message out to him explaining that I felt like after he completed his repairs and then he told me that it would be an additional $300 that I felt like the extra $300 I paid him was unfair and misleading and felt like he should refund that back to me.

I just hate that there are so many dishonest people out there wanting to take advantage of people!!!

Its a fake lead generator site for other companies. Stop lying to homeowners and scamming contractors out of their money.

This is a scam company. They take your information and then put it out in a database that other real companies buy leads from. You will get multiple calls about services that aren't even what you need. Do not fill in their form.

This came up on Google as a local stucco company started by two friends during the pandemic. I filled out my information. What a mistake. They sold it to a bunch of people who then sell it to a bunch of other people and now I have so much spam on my phone. “Allstarpros scam”

This company’s data system was unable to pass on my specific project needs, and I was spammed by anyone who does any kind of remodeling within a 200 mile radius.

I use my phone for my own business, so it was very hard to tell which of these were inappropriate people interested in remodeling, and which were calls I needed to answer.

No one they sent me was able to do the project I was requesting, and none of them were even aware of the project parameters that I had typed in.

Save your time and look elsewhere

This company just sends out referrals to companies trying to upsell services and products not needed. It's not a real company. Just absolutely disgusting.

Not sure who is operating this scam but DO NOT listen to a word they say. I have screenshot after screenshot of empty promises and excuses. They took $250 for a "deposit" and stupidly, we didn't ask for a contract prior to sending the money or signing anything. The "contractor" or whoever he is will tell you he lives in Gurnee and then Roselle and has a farm in Wisconsin and makes his own product and then turn around and tell you he can't give you a refund (after changing the service date multiple times) because he ordered the mulch already. Everything was a lie. Absolutely do not waste your money, time or sanity.

As far as the "contractor" we dealt with, he is English/Spanish speaking, walks with a limp due to a broken hip (in which he will tell you he fell off a ladder on a job and show you his scar). The person who left the initial voicemail said his name was Marcos but was not this same person based on his voice.

I am a gutter contractor. I used angi/homeadvisor as well as some others. Allstar pros has created Havoc with their website, They are an affiliate company, so they get paid to provide leads to companies like angi. When someone wants any project, done, for example a door replacement. the homeowner has to choose another task in order to submit their request. Gutters/gutter guards is at the top of that list( they assume every house has gutters that will sometimes need service)
When the homeowner submits their request it goes out to at least 4 gutter contractors and 4 door contractors.. the customer is frustrated because they get calls for something they dont need and the contractors are upset because they were charged for a lead that is worthless. Angi does not reverse the charges to us contractors.
I finally had to close my account with angi/homeadvisor because I was getting 9 out of 10 leads for something I do not do.
Allstar pros is a scam and they have made a Lot of $ by frankly screwing contractors as well as frustrating homeowners. Angi/homeadvisor does nothing about it as they are getting leads to sell to contractors, so they do not care about the quality.

I called All Star Pros on 5/12/25 wanting repairs on a dishwasher that wouldn't drain. He took my name, address, telephone number and email address, and told me someone would get back to me with a quote. Today is 5/15/25 and I have not heard from anyone. I have checked my emails and junk mail. Nothing.

Shell company that sells your info, inundating you with calls from overseas call centers, fawk you allstarpros.

I need gardening and handy work, and a friend found this site for me. I put in an ad with my task description. The responses I got were with a different website, so I didn’t click on any of those links. I got one phone call through the ad. I figured it was a good test task as it was for simple gardening and hand weeding, with lots of bulb plant trimming. I was told by the person who called me that he was good at gardening. However, he showed up unprepared, with no tools or yard waste bags, and by himself when he’d said he’d have an assistant. He did a terrible job. He asked for more money than I’d agreed to. Thankfully, after under three hours of a full day's job, he left. I was glad because he was pulling my bulbs and plants up by the roots instead of trimming them. He put yard waste into kitchen trash bags which overflowed onto my driveway. He was "trimming" trees by breaking off branches by hand, not with tools. When I saw this, I corrected him. Then this guy said he was done or nearly done twice or more, when he was less than halfway through the full task and the work he had done was very poor. I didn't want him ruining my trees and bushes so I finally said enough. I paid him, but when he asked if I wanted him to come back I said no thank you. This is per All Star Pros, as they gave him my information (phone number and address), so it’s obvious they must not have screened him.

All I wanted was a mailbox post to be replaced. I got directed to Angie's List and some yahoo from J&J Construction. Who also seemed to turn out to be Mobile Handyman. And there were other names. I called, got someone who acted very unprofessionally. I gave them my info. He gave me a quote. I agreed. Said he could the post installation that week. Never heard back. I got a hold of a dedicated outdoor mailbox service. And Homeadvisor/Angie's List has fallen off a cliff service wise. I used to have good results. Not anymore!!

ZERO STARS!!!! Like other reviewers I needed a minor bathtub repair.... within a single second of hitting send on my request I was inundated with calls from companies who DID NOT do bathtub repair but wanted to sell me a whole new bathroom! In fact, I did not receive a single call from a company who does bathtub repair. Even their response e-mail, letting me know they had received my request, was incorrect- listing my project as gutter guards! When I e-mailed them to tell them how unhappy I was, I got NO RESPONSE. USER BEWARE!

Don't waste your time. I tried to get a quote on a simple bathroom project (tub refinish, which it says they do on their website). They kept trying to sell me a new bathroom: "We'll take everything back to the studs..." They will push you to expand your project and won't ever quote what you asked for.
