Absolutely not what they are advertised as. They do not stick!!!! The customer service from them also leaves a lot to be desired.

It’s a complete con. The policy is that you can only return full price items for a full refund and sale items will only get store credit, but every single thing on their website is ‘on sale’. Be prepared not to get your money back if you aren’t happy with the product.

Bulbs NOT included….

Overall very pleased with the sconce lights, they look far more expensive than they actually were and supplied with sticky pads plus screws and rawl plugs.

However, the bulbs are NOT supplied and would incur an extra cost.

This is not mentioned in the listing so is very misleading plus on scanning the QR code on the card supplied “Step 1” shows an image of all the lamp’s components laid out which includes bulbs, cables & remotes…again very misleading.

Do not buy from this company Lamps were…

Do not buy from this company Lamps were very flimsy Bulbs have to be purchased separately Delivery far too long Lamps fell off the wall with the so called tape and absolutely ruined my paint work Company refused replacement or refund as they say 30 days were up Alas the time for delivery was an absolute joke so no wonder time was up So avoid 😩

I received substandard sconces which…

I received substandard sconces which were supposed to be adhesive. The fixture was very poorly made and the adhesive was not strong enough to support the fitting. Customer service shocking and expectation of me to return to china by post which would cost me more than I paid and then no guarantee of a refund. Very disappointed.

When you reached out to us, we reviewed the photos you shared and identified that the adhesive had not been applied correctly during installation, which explains why it wasn't holding securely. This was not a manufacturing defect, but we understand it was frustrating nonetheless.

We offered to send you a complimentary set of heavy-duty adhesive pads to resolve the issue at no cost to you, as well as a return in line with our standard terms and conditions — both of which were declined.

We always do our best to find a fair and practical solution for our customers, and that offer remains open should you change your mind.

Poor Quality Wall Sconces

I purchased a set of Wall Sconces (#3134) and within days the sconces had fallen off my bedroom walls as the 3m sticky tape provided was weak.
I then screwed the wall sconces onto my wall and then within a few weeks the lamps shades had separated and become completely detached from the top of sconce.
I reached out to the company as they stated there is a 1 year warranty and this was a manufacturing issue and they did nothing about replacing the products and instead offered a discount code.

I was then requested to remove my review by the company in return for a full refund almost 3 months ago to which I agreed. I still haven’t received any refund and they requested the review be removed first which I agreed to. After constantly chasing updates on a refund, I have now given up on receiving my money back.

I wouldn't recommend Ambience UK unfortunately.

Our records show that you first contacted us well over a year after your original purchase. While we always aim to support our customers, this fell significantly outside both our warranty period and the refund window available to us — which is why a replacement or refund was not possible, despite our best efforts to find a solution.

We want to be clear that our customer service team responded to every message promptly and in good faith throughout our exchanges.

We regret that we were unable to reach a satisfactory outcome in this case, and we understand the frustration. However, the timeline of events made it impossible for us to process the resolution you were hoping for.

Would give 0 stars if I could , APPALLING! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Represent themselves as a uk based company selling "luxury" items. What they are actually is a Chinese bases organisation selling absolute cheap rubbish. Lamps arrived cramped into a small box with no assembly instructions, screamed cheap tatt from the second I laid eyes on them. Installed the first one following their supposed "comprehensive" installing guide (3very basic lines on the side of the box) lamp lasted 10 minutes then fell off the wall and broke. Contacted for a return and full refund only to be met with multiple false narratives as to why this isn't possible. Safe to say ive raised a card dispute and reported them to trading standards. Honestly stay well clear if you value your money...

Ambience Design is a legitimate, registered business — we are not misrepresenting our origins in any way.

Regarding installation instructions: our products include a QR code providing access to detailed step-by-step guidance on our website, well beyond the summary printed on the packaging. We have no record of this being consulted prior to installation.

When you contacted us, we responded promptly and offered multiple solutions: a full set of complimentary heavy-duty adhesive pads, our complete installation guide including the screw-fixing method for a permanent result, and a return in line with our standard terms. All of these were declined.

We always aim to resolve issues fairly and thoroughly — as we did here — and we regret that none of the solutions offered were accepted.

Our offer remains open should you wish to reconsider.

Rechargeable bulbs???

Worked sporadically with the remotes enclosed. When the bulbs ran out quite quickly. I took the bulbs out to recharge them this was a bit of a faff to do. They worked when I put them back in but only lasted for 2 hours duration. Complete waste of money. They shouldn't need recharging so frequently. Don't buy. A mistake I won't make again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, and I'm truly sorry to hear about the ongoing issues with the rechargeable bulbs.

I can see from our previous correspondence back in September that we worked together to address the adhesion issues with the wall mounting, but it appears the battery performance problem was never fully resolved - and that's not acceptable.

Rechargeable bulbs should absolutely last longer than 2 hours on a full charge. If yours are only lasting that long, there's clearly a defect that needs to be addressed.

I've reached out to you directly via email to discuss a proper resolution. We want to make this right for you - whether that's through a replacement or another solution that ensures you're satisfied.

Not the best pirchase I have made

Not the best pirchase I have made. Long delivery if as stated in uk. Badly packaged, lights work when they feel like it. Sometimes to turn them off have to take bulb off. Pricey.

I was very very worried having read the reviews after I ordered these sconces; however they arrived in good time, well packaged and are genuinely fabulous. I’m really really pleased. They are decent quality and look more expensive than they were. I recommend.

Wall sconces

I ordered the wall lights before I had read the appalling reviews, and was extremely concerned. The lights were ordered early on a Monday morning and arrived 10 days later on the Wednesday, yesterday.
I was dreading opening the box, need not have worried everything was fine, all screwed together perfectly bulbs worked perfectly, I was really pleasantly surprised and very happy. I have photos to prove it.

Do NOT purchase from this company. I ordered 2 bulbs , when they were delivered the packaging was damaged and when I opened up the boxes one bulb was completely broken, you could also see what poor quality the product is and I realised I had been ‘done’ for want of a better word. I contacted the company asking for a refund and they told me in order to get a refund I would have to pay the return postage costs !! But if I wanted to keep them ( the broken damaged poor quality bulbs) I’d get 50% back!! Or they’d send me two new ( poor quality, plastic made in china bulbs) I am currently fighting with them to get a full refund! So I am £20 out of pocket.. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Wall sconces

This is the second time I have ordered the sconce lights from this company. The first order I had a slight issue but Sarah from customer services dealt with it brilliantly and resolved the situation. Love them! So ordered again! Again a small problem arose, however again it was resolved brilliantly. I have had nothing but fantastic service and a good product from this company. Customer services have been brilliant. I will definitely order from them again!
