Amelia Rentals Avis 15

I cancelled a reservation and was allowed to move the reservation to another date. When I rescheduled I had to sign a new contract. I ended up needing to cancel a second time for health reasons, well within the cancellation time of the NEW signed contract. Initially a credit was issued to me minus the 10%. I had no problem with this since it was stated within the contract. I received an email showing the amount of credit to expect. The next day Marcie ( I believe was her name) called and said no credit would be allowed but I could use the money I had paid then before the end of 2021. Because I went to the CC company trying to get my money back she was mad and decided that I would not be allowed to use the credit or reschedule as I had originally been told. This company is now stealing almost $1500 from me. I have emails and paperwork backing all this up. So BEWARE!!

Renter beware. Management/owner is only concerned with their bottom line at the expense of the customer. While most other travel related businesses are giving full refunds for cancellations associated with COVID-19 virus, Amelia Rentals is not...they charge you 10% (based on rental rate PLUS associated taxes) if you are outside of the 30 day cancellation period and 100% if you are within the 30 days.
This is my experience...you have the option to book with Amelia Rental or with other rental agencies...you decide.

Stayed there last year it was great, this year was not. Place was not clean, floors were dirty, bedding was not clean blood on sheets, scum in bathtub, blinds falling down, TVs didn’t work, and other issues. Was told maintenance would contact me but they never did. Would not stay there again. I’m sure the owners of this condo would like to know this place is not being taken care of. Not Acceptable. The condo was 2-Ocean Place Amelia Island.

Terrible experience with everything from the property we rented to the rental company the the condo that we rented that turned out to be a old unit that needed a total rehab. Coffee maker and no coffee. No chair or table in the unit. TV didn't work. Sandcastles I thought was supposed to be a great resort. We paid up front for 3 night and moved out the after 1 night and they would not refund a penny. A Motel 6 would be far nicer. BEWARE

Dryer didn’t work and wasn’t fixed during stay.

Lovely condo. Updated and fully stocked, with one exception. There was now corkscrew. At the beach! So we had to go purchase at a tourist store for way too much $. But the condo was lovely and we would rent there again. Long walk to the tram stop.

Only criticism is I wish the mattresses where better.

I will never rent from Amelia Rentals again. We paid an enormous amount of money for a very average home for Thansgiving. I called at 4:25 pm on day of arrival with question. Already closed. Answering service said someone would call me back and no one ever did. House was out of propane gas and we could not use cooktop. Called Friday morning and left message that we were having some issues and asked someone to please call me and no one ever called. Totally unacceptable

beautiful.. clean extremely well equipped comfortable bed comfy furniture new and sparkling highly recommend.

Hard to get a response. Not well prepared. Contacted cleaning service did not get condo ready. Had to wash our own towels to use.
Lots of little things that add up to general frustration.

Terrible experience. We had arranged to pick up both sets of keys for two rentals; when we got there they refused to honor the agreement. When I called (my sister tried to get the keys but I had made the arrangements) they said they would look into it and call me back.... never heard from anyone. The directions they gave us were wrong and the door code didn’t work. Horrible customer service!!!

Good communication, Easygoing check in . Great rental on the beach

The house was fantastic, the location was great. We had a major birthday and wedding anniversary celebration.
