Americamp offered an online Orientation for us internationals! They honestly go above and beyond I cannot recommend a better agency to go with. The orientation made me even more excited for my summer ahead. Juliette and Jen explained everything so well and made me feel so at ease for someone who gets really nervous at trying new things.

AmeriCamp are a fantastic agency to go through for anyone wanting to work and travel. They are hugely helpful with every step of your application and are always ready to assist you. Any queries you have, (which you will have) are always dealt with well and the communication between AmeriCamp and myself has been great. Definitely would recommend them. Lovely people and they will make sure you're looked after 👍🏻

I had an amazing experience working with Americamp! I was very late applying but with the help of Rob and the rest of the team at Americamp, I was able to get everything sorted in time. I was always able to get in contact with a member of the team and they were fantastic at keeping me right about the next stages. I would definitely recommend Americamp to anyone!

I have signed up to go to America with AmeriCamp since 2021 and every year since then has been no different, great communication, always a phone call or email away, and great support all around! I can't thank the team enough, they go above and beyond in their roles and I feel comfortable and confident travelling to the US alone. Special nod to Laura, Jen, Rob, Juliette, Eloise, Callum and the rest of the team. I am not one to leave reviews often, but AmeriCamp is by far the best company to travel to America with!

the process was really easy I didn't struggle with anything i just cant wait to go now only need to pay for flight my train got delayed for London and I got a refund for my train ticket so I went to London for free it was brilliant the visa appointment was good it was not as bad as i thought it would be

I loved my time with the program since they stuck by my side throughout thr pandemic and ensured I was able to finally travel to the US. At every step of my journey they were by my side offering guidance and assistance as to what I should consider doing for my next step. The fun really kicked off when I went to camp during the summer though! I don't have enough time in the world to describe how much fun I had but I think it can be summed up with how my bunk became known for all wearing banana's since I wore them during the summer and my kids all did the same. To me camp cannot be summed up in one big moment. Instead it is found in many small moments that build a bigger picture and I'm immensely grateful to Americamp for giving me that opportunity.

AMAZING! i’ve never came across an agency as well put together as Americamp is! You can contact via email text or call and they have very fast responses! I applied in december and got my placement by the end of January! I am so excited to get there and have the best experience of my life. Like I said, everything is well put together, you get email reminders for every payment, things to sign, interviews and even tips on how to make your profile look more appealing to camps! Rob and the Americamp team were really helpful and responsive and made the whole visa application process easier, as well as with the whole process of getting hired and making sure I was prepared for heading to the US. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to spend a summer working at a summer camp in America!

Had a terrible experience with Americamp. After researching all of the big summer camp agencies in February I decided that Americamp seemed like the organisation for me. I signed up on 7 February after checking their website for age limits as I would be 37 at the time of travel and I knew BUNAC had an age limit. Nowhere did it say there was an age limit on the website or on their T+Cs. Spent an entire afternoon uploading documents and filling in information to continue with my application.

Paid my deposit, and by this point Americamp would have been well aware of my age. I was assigned an Application Coordinator and tried to book my phonecall with her online. It didn't work, so I dropped an email and arranged it over email with her explaining that she had manually booked the appointment for me.

The appointment day and time came and went (10 Feb at 10.30am) and nothing. I left it until around 10.45am as I understand they're busy before emailing. I got an email back at around 12.10 asking if she could call me now and an apology as the appointment hadn't been in her diary (given that she'd told me she'd manually booked it obviously she had forgotten). I replied straight away saying please do. I waited around for almost another half an hour before receiving the phonecall.

After the phonecall being an hour late and making me late for uni it was a complete waste of time. I was told that I would be too old to be approved the visa, and that although they could continue my application it was very unlikely I would be approved (which is a complete joke seeing as I have since been placed with another agency at my chosen camp and received my visa just fine). I was assured that this had also been checked with a manager.

I think that Americamp were either too busy or just couldn't be bothered to deal with me for whatever reason. As mentioned previously I have since been placed at my chosen camp through another agency and had no problems with my visa application at all. I have also spoken to many other people in forums around the same age and older and they have all advised that the visa has no age limit.

My understanding that Americamp could not be bothered to deal with me was solidified when I emailed back my coordinator asking if the age limit would also apply for their Americamp Canada programme as I was still keen to travel with them at the time. I wasn't even given the courtesy of a reply. Terrible terrible service and I certainly would not recommend to any of my uni friends or anyone else for that matter.

The fact that my new agency managed to place me at my first choice camp and my visa was approved without issue shows my age was not the problem. If Americamp don't wish to deal with over 30s I have no issue with that, but state it on your website and don't waste people's time just because you can't be bothered to deal with them. A real shame as they seemed like a great company prior to my experience.

It’s a ten out of ten for me!

I first signed up to americamp in 2021 and had Calum as my coordinator. Due to a family wedding and the pandemic, I had to retract my application but I am happy to say I reapplied this year and got #placed having rob as my coordinator. Firstly I was amazed that Calum remembered me from last year! He heard I had reapplied and wished me all the best (great memory, customer service and attention to detail) he was even available for questions throughout the process or if rob was unavailable.
Rob was fenomenal from the get go, made sure to check in with me throughout my application process and guided me through it all.
He knew I was quite busy moving house and in and out of the country so I really appreciated the reminders and the patience he had throughout getting me processed and placed.

It gave me so much confidence to feel that not just rob and Callum but any of the other coordinators I spoke to EQUALLY had my back at americamp and this really helped with my interviews knowing how much they believed in me because I got not one but three offers and accepted the exact role I dreamed of.

Thank you americamp for all your support and guidance throughout the process I would recommend this company to anyone!

Ten out of teeeeenn!!

Americamp have been incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. Responses are always super quick and every step is explained clearly to make the application easy. In particular, Rob, my coordinator was very friendly and always keen to help with any questions or concerns that I had. I can’t recommend them enough!

I went with Americamp because I was applying last minute and liked their 99% placement rate.

The staff are helpful and give you many ways to contact them, always responding quickly. They’re a small company and so the process doesn’t feel daunting.

However, the application portal is a mess! It feels outdated and is constantly being edited. I checked it today and found the link to my video gone, which I spent ages on. One of my paragraphs had been duplicated and a social media option added, with a random link pasted in for some reason, making me look careless. “Camp type” checkboxes were also added and filled in at random (incorrectly). For these mistakes I may well have been overlooked by camps.

They stated that there were going to be more orientations after the ones in April, but failed to mention these would be virtual.

They are not bad, but compared to other organisations they are not great. Be prepared to constantly be chasing things up and checking your portal for changes.

Been so helpful with my struggles and worries about attending camp due to circumstances!
