I love the insurance and all the extra courses

I’ve been a member of the AMTA for a very long time and have never had an issue.

I spoke with Shirley regarding personal membership data, billing, and member benefits. Not only was she friendly, but also efficient and knowledgeable in all areas. I had many questions and she was very patient in listening and providing key info. Thanks so much!

Easy to navigate side

Offers additional benefits with membership. Amongst being competitive with reasonable rates. Free website, disability insurance, free insurance if employed with franchise.

I love the scientific literature and statistical data that journals and the coverage of practicing. However I wish AMTA would lobby for massage therapists to be covered mandatorily if working a certain number of hours somewhere or massage to be covered in most and more health insurances especially coverage for veterans. We could do better. There is enough data that massage should be considered preventative health. We are behind on progressing a more healthy culture and society.

Overall the services and education Provided are good
However there are things that are very important to massage therapists all across the nation that your organization either completely refuses to acknowledge or won't speak on.
#1 human trafficking and it's impact on legitimate massage businesses
#2 the interstate compact

These things matter to us every single day. And AMTA doesn't address either subject

Also the quality of the educators and classes at the 2024 convention were awful.

The AMTA has always been there for me. they not only offer great benefits for insurance to protect you. They offer classes towards your CU credits discounted health plans. They also have a job market area. If you need a job, they care about their members. I give them five stars.

I had to call AMTA to adjust my automatic renewal. The call was quick and effective, with almost no waiting. Very much appreciated.

Honestly I believe that Continuing Education department should offer the option that you can translate the courses to Spanish so that for Latin members be easily to make the courses. In addition this could reinforced economics entrances to AMTA and by the way could be an attractive way to get more members.

AMTA is an amazing resource for massage therapist. They cover a wide range of topics and offers great support for therapists.

AMTA is a must for me as an LMT. Important notifications happen in a timely manner, & my fav. thing is having continuing education available at my convenience and everything is in user friendly order as needed. Insurance is taken care of, & my 2nd fav. part...discounts through massage warehouse!!!

I don’t received/use any of the benefits that would justify the cost. It has more than doubled, nearly tripled in cost since I was in school 3 years ago. I just think it’s crazy. I don’t need your website, and your free CEU classes don’t as anything to my education. I seek out in person classes and pay for them. I only have the insurance because it’s required. I can’t imagine there are too many actual claims. You don’t have competitive pricing. You and ABMP are just about the same. So… I can only say that AMTA and the staff I’ve encountered are simply average. Maybe you should offer simply the insurance without all the extras for less. I work for someone as a private contractor and I make about minimum wage after taxes and all the other stuff.
