Andy Mckay Golf Photography Avis

Andy is great!!! I hired him to photograph my round at Carnoustie, which i played with my hickory golf clubs. His photographs captured moments and memories for me that I will never forget. Oftentimes he was near me taking pictures but many times he would be hiding in the rough, or behind a tree, or somewhere out of sight - capturing some of the best moments of my golfing life. I highly recommend Andy to anyone that is golfing in Scotland and wants to capture their round in an extremely professional and fun way. Cheers to you, Andy - and thank you again!

Andy has worked for Tennis West of Scotland at a few of our events now. He is great to deal with, works brilliantly with the people he’s taking photos of and knows how to get fantastic photos. All sent to us very quickly following the event. We will continue to use him for our events.

Andy is an amazing photographer and stand up guy! He made it a lot of fun while we were on the course. He took great photos and made it an unforgettable experience! Thank you Andy!

Andy is the best. Met him completely by chance at Royal Troon when another client hired him that day and immediately became a fan. He captured some amazing moments from that round and we were lucky enough to have him come out to Carnoustie just recently. Couldn’t recommend him more, does great work and is a great guy! He also does other work, check out his site!

We first met Andy in 2024 at Royal Troon. He’d been hired by the single we were paired with, and by the end of the round he’d photographed our whole group. We bought the photos on the spot after seeing them. So when we started planning our 2026 trip, hiring Andy for our Carnoustie round wasn’t a discussion.

The photos are spectacular. Andy finds angles you’d never think to look for, and the finished product makes you feel like you belong on television — even if the shot absolutely didn’t deserve it.

What you may not expect is how much he adds beyond the camera. Andy was a strong amateur golfer and knows courses all over Scotland intimately. He’s got real insight to share and he’s a genuine pleasure to walk with — the kind of company that makes a round better on its own.

If you’re making the trip over, book him. You’ll come home with the memories either way; with Andy you come home with something you’ll actually hang on the wall.

Our pictures from The Old Course are so amazing and help us relive that magical day.
Andy was great to work with from the start of booking through getting the finished pictures to us. We did a zoom call prior to traveling to a Scotland which was very helpful.
It was such a memorable day playing The Old Course and it was so nice not having to worry about taking pictures. Andy captured the entire round and made it even more enjoyable. The added golf tips were a plus !

This was the second time I worked with Andy and once again I had an outstanding experience. I couldn't be happier with the results. From the moment we connected, he was incredibly friendly, and professional. He made the entire experience comfortable and enjoyable for our whole group.

He was responsive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled smoothly. The Old Course is a bucket list day and having the photos from Andy makes it even more memorable.

The quality of the photos exceeded all expectations. He captured the beauty of the course, the excitement of the day, and the little details that often go unnoticed. Every image was sharp, well-composed, and perfectly edited. The photos truly tell a story and bring back great memories every time I look at them.

I highly recommend working with Andy and I have already referred him to other golfers I know that are planning a trip to Scotland.

Andy was great, very flexible with our needs and took some brilliant photos. Will definitely be in touch again for our next golf day. Lovely guy as well.

Andy is a pro! As a photographer and a competitive golfer, he understands how and where to capture your bucket list golf experience. His photo package is very well curated - a beautiful and diverse mix of frameworthy shots. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to capture a memorable round in the UK. We booked him for St. Andrews and he captured every iconic angle you could ask for.

Absolutely blown away by the photography and video work they created for our golf course. Andy captured the course in a way that truly showcases its beauty, atmosphere, and character—every shot feels intentional and premium. The final content has been incredible for our marketing and has elevated how the course is perceived online and across campaigns. Professional, creative, and a pleasure to work with from start to finish—highly recommend to any course or brand looking to stand out. ⛳📸

Having known Andrew for nearly 30 years, it has been a pleasure to incorporate his services into our client experience. His personal engagement, deep knowledge of golf, and exceptional eye for detail ensure that every moment he captures reflects the memories and emotions our clients cherish. His contribution to Lomond Golf Tours is truly first class, and I can’t thank him enough for all he does for us.

Anyone considering the Photo Caddie experience should have no hesitation, Andrew’s professionalism, creativity, and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable part of any golf journey.

"We used Andy for a two-day photography package in Scotland. He captured almost 900 pictures from so many angles of our golf rounds at Carnoustie and Kingsbarns. Amazing work for our trip in the Spring of 2025. The people on our trip think that was a great investment."

Andy was great! Caught some of the best action shots and help preserve memories for a lifetime.
Awesome to have him do a professional job. I look at the photos every day.

“Excellent experience working with Andy. The photos looked fantastic and really showcased the course. Professional, reliable, and a great job all round. We’d happily work with Andy again.”
