Apecs are GREAT! Here's why:
1. The products are awesome. Really. I have very rarely had a faulty product from them (much less than other suppliers), and if there is a problem, it's easy to rectify.
2. They pretty much price match 'Big D', and their products are better in my opinion ... smoother, more reliable
3. Customer service is great. Friendly and efficient.
4. Delivery & bespoke orders is always really quick... often next day. Genuinely and consistently fab.

I switched from my previous 3* provider a few years back and have now switched my other 1* and budget to Apecs because of the above.

We use APECS for all our cylinder requirements at our trade counter and for customer key-alike and master suite orders. Their team is always extremely helpful, and the turnaround time is excellent. We couldn’t recommend their services more highly – a truly fantastic company to work with.

Horrendous Customer Service.
I had a new front door cylinder fitted in October of last year and by February it was ceasing up. By April it was almost impossible to turn. I'd activated the warranty when I first had it fitted, so I contacted APECS with the details of the issue. After many back and forth emails, they told me it was probably not the lock causing the issue (what else was it?) and I should get a locksmith out because they wouldn't cover it. It was literally a case of the lock no longer turning. Absolutely useless. Warranty is not worth the paper it's written on.

Keys are not fit for purpose, like other reviews on here the plastic tab at top of key has snapped on 2 keys, rendering the keys unusable. The website is not very helpful with information on claiming on warranty so i have had to email them to see how to claim. i will update with my experience of there customer service when claiming on warranty. (1 STAR).
UPDATE - I have received an email from APECS on how to claim for my new keys, i have sent the required info off to them and will update when i receive keys.
UPDATE - I have received my new keys and i can confirm that the top plastic cap has been improved from the original keys we got and the new ones do look more substantial.
CONCLUSION - although the original keys were really not fit for purpose (1 STAR), the new improved keys and the customer service i got from APECS has made me to adjust my rating from 1 star originally to 4 stars now. Thank you to Brittny at APECS for the excellent customer service.

Extremely low standard of customer/technical support… if you have one of their products that becomes problematic or even fails on you…. Then the APECS team basically does the same to the customer in a support aspect. They will become problematic throughout, and they will fail you. We experienced this firsthand and were very disappointed. Very disloyal considering we were a loyal customer that had purchased many of their products.

They need to remember. Great customer service will always cost far less than bad customer service in the long run.

I will never ever purchase an APECS hardware product again, and that’s for sure.

AP keys constantly break due to flimsy plastic head. Not fit for purpose. Why not do solid metal? Oh yes so you can get more money out of customer, silly me. Avoid if you can!
