It’s a good option for teachers since they don’t charge any extra fees to the instructors, but they charge a 15-20% fee per class to students, and many students think this can be quite expensive. Additionally, it’s good that there is a minimum price that ensures the quality of the teachers' work.

I have been teaching Spanish for a year, and most of my students are from Belgium or France. Compared to other platforms, it is easier to earn money here, and you can promote yourself more easily, making it less competitive. This is hard to achieve on other platforms. However, there are several areas for improvement. Firstly, the available schedule is quite limited; it’s only from 9 AM to 11 PM. For example, I wake up at 6 AM to teach and could easily work during broader hours, but I can’t register for that.
Furthermore, they only allow you to set a general calendar, not by day, which makes it impossible to specify the exact hours I’m available. For instance, I have classes until midnight, but students can book at 1 AM, which doesn’t make sense. I can’t choose the hours I want to work on a daily basis; I have to coordinate directly with the students.

Another issue I’ve raised with the platform is that messages are not instantaneous; they go through a filter and are sent with delays.

Also students can cancel classes during the lesson without penalty, and it’s the teacher who has to re-register the class and decided if make the penalty or not which can be frustrating.

I have had four years of experience with Apprentus as a mathematics tutor. My relationship with them has been very satisfactory. They delimitate very clearly the rules to follow in order to operate with them. And they always have complied punctually and correctly with the payments earned with my classes dictated through their app.

Apprentus is a serious and effective learning platform, where students and teachers meet to meet their educational needs.
