Art K is great
They let you choose, within the project that you've been given, exactly what you want to do which means you get to develop your own ideas.
There's loads of different things to do like painting and sculpturing with clay and papier mache and drawing.
The teachers are really nice and helpful. I really enjoy ArtK and look forward to going to it every week.

My son has been going to art classes at Art-K Beckenham for a couple of years now and the team led by Arthur have been amazing and supportive with him. He thoroughly enjoys the classes and is the highlight of his week.

My eight year old is loving Art-K. He has learned various techniques and has produced amazing pieces.

Friendly, caring staff and great art projects
My daughter, Ruby, absolutely loves going to Art- K each week. Aside from the fantastic art projects she gets involved with and feels so proud to bring home, she is loved and nurtured by the wonderful staff, especially Julia and Arthur. They are really kind and funny, making her feel loved and valued, and part of a little community.

Teacher not engaging
My son did not feel the teacher explained to him what the theme was clearly. He was given a piece of paper to colour or draw left to get on with it. However the teacher was found not to be supportive or given encouragement. Not showing interest in how my son was getting on. I paid a lot of money and my son was miserable in that class.
When my son moved to the Sunday class, he thoroughly enjoyed the work he was doing and asked to stay in the Sunday class. My son told me the teacher asked him questions, asked his interest in art he was made comfortable from that very moment.
Goes to show how two teachers doing the same job but have different ways of making children comfortable.
Hopefully this teacher will take note.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We really appreciate feedback which stimulates reflection and improvement and it's most effective when memories are still fresh. As this review relates to a class from the Summer 2025 improvement opportunities fade.
Our teachers and assistants are trained to move around the room to offer a fair and equal amount of resource to each child. With one teacher or assistant to 7 children, the resources are in place to ensure that every child feels supported, encouraged, and inspired in their creative journey. We hope it's never a problem, but we recognise that this is a high level skill, so they are open and receptive to customers discussing concerns with them at any time.

Wonderful place
Our 7yo absolutely loves Art-K (regularly requests it). Visiting 9yo loved it too! They’re so proud of the (amazing) art they bring home, as am I! Wonderful place for kids to spend time, great value for money.

Excellent party
Lucy was great - from arranging the day in advance on the phone through to everything running smoothly on the day - she made the experience so great. The kids had a wonderful time and were thoroughly entertained. We love it - thanks so much!

Encouragement leads to an ability discovered.
I started attending the adult class at art-K Beckenham almost by accident, standing in for my wife, whilst trying to support our son with serious artistic ambitions. The people running the class are so supportive. With their positive encouragement and technical and artistic expertise painting is now for me a serious ambition. They helped and encouraged me to discover an ability I didn't know I had.

Súper-creative
My son, 9 loves it. We went for a trial and came out super excited and wanting to go back next class to finish his artwork. Friendly and very creative staff. He feels now more motivated and is been more creative at home!

My 7-year-old daughter loves her art…
My 7-year-old daughter loves her art classes. She starts the classes one year ago and what she's learned during this time is incredible. She's had the opportunity to be with the two teachers Julia and Arthur and the experience has been wonderful. I highly recommend their classes, the dedication they have with the children, their teachings. Everything about them. I'm very happy with my daughter's classes.

Brilliant Beckenham
My two girls attended art-k in Beckenham for 2 days over rhe summer holidays and really enjoyed their time there. The classes are a good size and really well managed with lots of activities. The various art techniques they were taught meant they came home with some fantastic creations. Would definitely go again.

Safeguarding, children expressing themselves through art, convenience of the Beckenham location, staff, staff ability to nurture nervous children, politeness, professionalism all are brilliant!
Only downfall I would say is if it could finish at 6pm or at least 5:30pm, an outdoor space for eating lunch, which could be a short walk to cator park so the children are not in the store all day. And perhaps pictures of the children sent to parents throughout the day.

Thank you for your positive review and suggestions. art-K, appreciate your idea to extend supervision from 3 pm to later. We’ll explore staffing solutions and continue to survey parents to gauge interest or suggestions.
Our holiday art workshops run for two hours in the morning and afternoon, and can be booked separately. This flexibility has been popular with parents who don’t need all-day care. A supervised one-hour lunch break is available for children staying for the full five hours.
During a supervised one-hour lunch break, students can relax and recharge with board games and quiet activities.
On hot August days, like today, the fully staffed and air-conditioned art-K Beckenham studio keeps children safe, cool, and comfortable.
