Ashcombe has been a shooting ground for 30 years but since July 2022 it has been part of the SGC Group. The Sportsman Gun Centre in association with Double Barrel Clay Shooting are the proud owners of Ashcombe. Since 2022 the ground has seen considerable investment in infrastructure and the ground now has a wider variety of targets available for all levels of shooter. Ashcombe offers a host of various competitions such as Sporting, Supersporting and Skeet on selected Sundays each month. The English Sporting and SuperSporting competitions come in 4 varieties; the CPSA registered Adult competition, the CPSA registered Junior competition, the Adult birds only and the Junior birds only. With major events such as the Browning Masters and the South West Regional Championships being acquired the ground is going from strength to strength.

I booked a 50 clay session for me and my son, we had such a great time and Justin was a brilliant and patient instructor and made the whole session really enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

I had a familiarisation session.
I had a familiarisation session with Paul. What a pleasure to meet him, he was helpful and very knowledgeable and whilst the idea was to show me how to use the equipment and be safe I learned loads and had fun. I would recommend this shooting ground with its 25 stands to anyone who enjoys shooting.

Our first time to Ascombe Shooting…
Our first time to Ascombe Shooting Ground and their very welcoming staff. We had a fantastic experience and our instructor Justin was so friendly and supportive. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested to have a go for clay shooting. Will definitely be back again.

Excellent Shooting Ground
Everyone is welcoming, friendly, skilled and experienced.
The shooting ground is set in beautiful woodland and provides a huge number of traps of all kinds. The traps are periodically varied so there is something different every time you go there.
You will not be disappointed with your visit to Ashcombe Shooting ground.

Great tuition and very good value.
Being new to Clay Shooting I took a lesson with Don at Ashcombe shooting. Don is an excellent coach and walked me through the fundamentals correcting some bad habits I had picked up. When I get the time I’ll head back to Ashcombe for another much needed lesson.

A true 5* experience
We went as a group of 5 (Dad and 4 youngsters) on the 25 clay introduction package. From the initial phone call to the end of the shoot, it was a truly great experience. Despite there being a competition on that day, we were booked in and felt like we were the only ones there and a truly valued customer. If you book directly with them, rather than a 1/3rd party page it works out a bit cheaper.
Thank you from us all, we will be going back. x
