The Nerve....BS at its best

Never received a call just a text saying I would. And I just noticed a payment of $60.00 recurring on my bank statement. If this ain't the some BS at its best 💯. I will be calling them Monday morning about stealing my money. Because that's what it is. When you haven't provided the Services yet rendered my money. I was NOT that one to do that to..

It's all AI

It's all AI.

Ask it to count the R's in Strawberry. It can't. Then it gets Pissed and sends you to customer service. Because... IT's ALL AI. The "Lawyer" is ChatGPT.

Oh, and of course, they charge a Sneak Subscription. A ABSOLUTE RIP OFF AND SCAM.

As a senior citizen I had an online chat I was advised that I would be charged $5 which was fully refundable. In addition I was charged $65. When I attempted to contact through chat I got the run around. First I was asked if I had read the refund policy advised I never was offered or advised about it. I lost the chat with the 1st person. 2nd chat provided same info. Provided 2 optios I chose the 2nd option of a call. I provided my cell#. Last response downloaded a form for me to fill out told I would need to pay $5 which was refundable. The chat ended of course I would need to pay the $5 again. There was no way I was going to get ripped off again. When I attempted to call a customer service number I found on there website. Called it immediately went busy.Do not use them they are a rip off. I did have a lawyer call me.

BEWARE!!

Used this site because I wanted to know my options in a legal matter. The person I spoke with answered my questions and I didn't mind paying the $65.00. What I didn't know is they secretly sign you up for a membership for unlimited advice. after seeing the second month charge I called them and they supposedly canceled it. I will let you know.

Beware of this service/company

Beware of this service/company. You think you are signing up for a one-time service and they try to charge you monthly forever. Been fighting bogus charges for nearly a year! They keep saying they don't have any record of my signing up but keep trying to charge my credit card anyway. So frustrating! If this keeps up, I guess I'll have to hire a real attorney to fight this!

Felt Like a Scam — Proceed with Caution

I paid $45 today for legal advice from AskALawyer.com, which advertised access to a verified attorney. Instead, I was contacted by someone calling himself “Legal Eagle,” later “Michael Williams,” using an image on their site that identifies him as “Bruce.” The messages were unprofessional, with typos in every sentence, and the service did not match what was promised.

I certainly wouldn't share any personal or confidential information with them.

I’ve filed a complaint but have not received any response. AskALawyer.com claims its lawyers are “verified,” but how are they verifying them? Until there’s transparency and accountability, I do not recommend using this service.

--Update: askalawyer.com has challenged this review. I have screenshots of my experience showing it is from askalawyer - I stand by my review. At the time of the incident, I sent a request for support to askalawyer with no response. I see they have updated their website addressing their photos and attorney "nicknames" and I'm not surprised since I provided them all the screenshots. They are obviously making changes to counteract poor reviews they have earned. Beware!

--Update again (3.23.2026): AskaLawyer has challenged this review again. I received an email today from Trustpilot "You’ve written a review for AskaLawyer.com, and they’ve asked for more details to better understand your experience. If you provide some extra information within 3 days, it’ll help them recognize your experience and respond." I clicked the link added my name and email. It asked for a reference number, which I never received. I want to be really clear here...My experience was on 10.15.2025 (for some reason I was unable to select that date TrustPilot so I selected 10.11.2025). I received a transcript of my chat with their "Mike" I took screenshots I cannot update here. I also contacted AskALawyer.com on 10.15.2025 through their webpage. Interestingly enough, I didn't notice until today that their supplied transcript doesn't match the actual chat (some of the chat is missing from the supplied chat) -- of which I took screenshots of. Here is a copy paste from the transcript that was supplied. Please note the spelling and typing from this "attorney" I am chatting with.
