Our garden was initially landscaped by a different firm a number of years ago and has a central water feature. Unfortunately the water blade began to leak.
I contacted Atlantes Landscapes and Paul visited to check out the problem and found that it was due to poor installation by the previous firm.
He spent a long time trying to access the faulty pipe work to rectify the problem and managed to identify the cause and install a replacement part. Paul was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
I would not hesitate to recommend Atlantes.

I called Atlantes Landscapes the Tuesday before Easter to discuss redesigning my elderly parent’s garden. It needed to be made easier and safer for them to manage. After discussion with Paul, he advised that it rather than an expensive redesign, we likely needed some adjustments to the planting and landscaping.
Paul agreed to come around the next day as I was on a tight schedule to get home. When Paul got held up, Denise came around at short notice. I was delighted at the way Denise listened to my parents needs. The plan was just what we needed; within our budget and achieving our needs. We did not go ahead as one of my family decided they would do the work. My expectations were more than met, and I would recommend using Atlantes.

We found Atlantes Landscapes through Checkatrade, they were the only business which were able to meet our criteria. They gave us an estimate and we arranged a meeting with Denise and Stewart. They were very professional and helped us with what was required in advance of a viewing for the house sale. The garden is very large and had not been touched for several months. We had a two week window before the viewing and they bent over backwards to fit us in. They did an excellent job. Chris also came on the final day with Stewart and we couldn't fault them. We would thoroughly recommend Atlantes Landscapes.

Paul and his most professional team have turned an unmanageable area of my front garden into a spectacle.
The design that Cameron produced was better than I could have hoped for. He was able to emulate my design ideas adapting them to work on a considerable slope.
The landscaping wasn’t without its problems but, with Paul’s intervention, these were tackled head-on. His positive attitude meant nothing phased him.
Deane, who led ‘my’ team, obviously loves landscaping and with his attention to detail, takes pride in his work.

Atlantes provided a very thorough and professional quote. They arrived on time and are helpful with choosing finishes and materials. We would work with them again.

Not professional, with respect to contacting them. The number given on website does not get answered by office (5 calls from me, during working hours) - goes through to Paul's mobile eventually which asks you to leave a message, and he just said he never listens to them. We had a confusion re time he was supposed to visit (don't know whose fault, but obviously think his) - that's why I was contacting him as I waited in and was puzzled. The sixth time, I used my landline and was answered by him, not office.

We highly recommend Atlantes Landscapes. Paul, Denise, and the entire team are incredibly helpful, responsive, and consistently go above and beyond to assist us. When they first visited our site, the grass was overgrown, there was a significant amount of litter, and the trees were in urgent need of care. After their visit, they promptly provided us with a detailed update, including recommendations and costs for tree safety, as well as a plan to tidy up the site and restore its appearance.

We have a large garden which was mostly grass and old weed infested gravel, in great need of a makeover.
Paul and Cameron spent a lot of time with us on site and by video link, helping us design the layout and choose the many plants needed.
They patiently discussed all aspects of the work with us in detail, until we were completely satisfied with the plans.
The work was performed meticulously by their very friendly and helpful team, with Alex and Chris, creating flower beds, paths, a beautiful central feature, a lovely pond and a new driveway.

My garden needed a good tidy-up after I had a serious illness. Denise, Neil and Leon from Atlantes couldn't have been more helpful - friendly, efficient, accommodating, willing to go the extra mile. The end result exceeded expectations and has given me a sound basis for resuming my own gardening activities.

We had a pond rebuild , and Paul and team were responsive, efficient and did a great job. Will look to use this team again.

The area of our garden which we decided to use for vegetable growing is unfortunately quite steeply sloped. Having a reasonable success with harvests, I decided it was time to make it easier and safer to work and access. I had no hesitation in contacting Paul and his team who have previously built us a retaining wall along our drive, constructed steps to access the lower level of our garden and regularly prune our old, but lovely apple tree. Paul came to assess our requirements, came up with a simple solution ... I was thinking it would be more complicated ... and said it would only take 1 - 2 days at most. I am absolutely delighted with the finished project. The area has been made into 2 terraces using sleepers, accessed by a small step created by altering a wall and matching the pavers. A camelia shrub was kindly replanted in another part of the garden, and a second one we donated to be used for fund raising for their supported charity, Infocus, based in Exeter. On completion the garden was cleaned down and left tidy. An excellent job by a hard working, friendly team, I can't recommend them highly enough.

Quotation Process
Paul designed the garden for us after we initially reached out via the simple website form. He visited our garden and chatted us through what we wanted and made lots of design recommendations for us. Shortly after the visit (maybe 2-3 days), they provided a 17 page quote pdf with diagrams and a full breakdown of the spend in layman’s terms. Quotes provided by other companies were given to us on an unformatted word document with technical item numbers without much context or any visuals.
The level of professionalism and detail within the initial quote was a key reason for us in selecting Atlantes over their competitors.

Communications
About 2 weeks after we agreed on our final quote (we had asked for 2 - one with bedding plants and one without), we signed our contract and were introduced to our project manager. He then provided a provisional start date which was actually earlier than expected - although in the range Paul mentioned during the quotation process. I feel it is worth mentioning that we got several other quotes done and all of them emphasised to us that we would have to wait at least 6-8 months wherever we went and Atlantes went from quote to completion in less than 4.
The only real negative I have to say about Atlantes is in relation to their invoicing consistency. In the contract it stated clear invoicing dates and amounts which were not kept to. We were invoiced in succession just before work started (later than expected). This did not impact us at all but I think is something they should improve.
Following the project, Denise, their Strategy Director, reached out to make an appointment to visit us to discuss our experience, gather feedback and perform a quality check. We found this to be a very professional touch and reassured us that any further work we would ever need would be going to Atlantes.

Execution
The execution of the garden work was exceptional, both the quality and the attention to detail was to the highest standards.
The team worked through some awful rain and still continued to progress unimpaired. The team were all very friendly and gave us regular updates.
We adore the final result of our new garden, I have attached before and after pictures (to my google review) but is worth noting the planting is our work and not Atlantes. We would highly recommend Atlantes for any landscaping work.

Paul Bentley designed my garden for me from scratch which was a very positive experience. His team then completed the garden to his design. I am very happy with the result. The whole team was very professional and finished the garden to a high standard. I would highly recommend Atlantes Landscapes.

We met Neil who looked at our whole large and very overgrown garden which was out of our control. He is a very professional and knowledgable man who took many photographs of each area of our front and back gardens. We quickly received a very detailed quotation from Neil for the job. His price for this very large job was very fair. We had obtained a first quote prior to Neil’s which was almost twice the price and rather vague. We had four gardeners for over three very full days. They were very polite and knew exactly how to handle this big job. Those men worked harder than any other team I have seen in my long career in Social Housing Management and I have employed many teams of gardeners in my past long career. The finished work can only be described as a complete transformation and after 30 happy years in this home we have been given our wonderful garden back again. Neil and his team are the best gardeners I have yet encountered and we could not recommend them more highly.

I've been renovating a property for three years and of all the people I have used, the guys from Atlantes landscapes have been head and shoulders the best. Friendly, professional, helpful and knowledgable, and above all they do exactly what they say they are going to do, and when they say they're going to do it! A surprisingly rare trait these days. We had some bamboo root clumps that were proving too difficult for us to heave out of the soil as our backs aren’t what they used to be! Having used Atlantes to brilliantly re landscape our back garden a couple of years ago we wondered if they would take on a small job. Their usual can do approach saw a couple of the team come round just a few days later and do a really good job. You can expect great communication from Neil, a punctual and polite team who clear up and take all the mess away, at a reasonable and fair price. So highly recommend them for the small and big projects.

Neil’s team did a great job. They got straight to work and the garden looks great. Was really overgrown due to us travelling a lot and managed to fit us in on a short notice.
