After some investigation into ethernet infrastructure, it was recommended to invest in a quality network switch to help increase my soundstage - upgrading this switch has helped me achieve that further

I was sceptical at first; thinking that 'isn't a digital signal just a 1 or 0'! However, having listened to the switch on my system I immediately noticed the instruments seemed to have better separation, the system had a better control of frequencies, and perhaps even more important the music appeared more 'musical', enjoyable and involving to listen to. The soundstage seems better defined, it being easier to listen to individual instruments. Although not cheap, it certainly appears well made, and looking at the system as a whole, for a relatively modest outlay it is, in my opinion, a very worthwhile and cost effective addition.

Although I am using this with my new hifi, I did not try the hifi without it, so cannot comment on its likely beneficial effect on the hifi sound. However, it made a very noticeable, positive improvement to the TV picture and sound quality, compared to the previous cabling.
