Subscription trap

Subscription trap

This company appears to be operating a subscription trap or scam of some sort. I didn't complete any of their tests and yet found multiple charges on my account from them.

The 'customer services' response simply repeats a cut and paste type response which claims you have signed up to something via a website which makes their terms clear - which is incorrect. Note: they will NOT PROVIDE ANY PROOF you actually signed up no matter how many times you ask them - just circular emails with cut and paste content.

Your best option is to pursue them through your card provider, I did this and received the funds back which they had taken IN FULL. I did have to register a dispute twice, as they provided a simple record of the transactions which initially satisfied the card issuer. However, on raising the dispute a second time and asking for express proof that I had purchased their services the company was of course unable to provide any proof (as none existed) and were forced by AMEX to REFUND IN FULL.

I would also advise anyone to report this company to the fraud and information governance authorities wherever you are.

This service is a scam

Dishonest and exploitive company. They charge £0.99 to view test results but do not make it clear that this signs you up for a recurring monthly subscription that provides little or no real service. Obviously targeting user who are potentially autistic or otherwise vulnerable. I’ve reported the charge to my credit card provider. This site needs reporting and action taken.

Thieves

Thieves - no transparency about future charges. I emailed them to complain and they refused to refund. What’s more, they said they would not take any further payments from my account and they did! They then ignored all further emails from me to complain about this. I don’t know if they will keep taking money out of my account, I may have to change my bank card because of them. It’s awful that they prey on those with autism. This is surely illegal. AVOID THEM!

NeuraMetric OÜ, Autismhelpapp.com

I wished I read your reviews!!!!!! There is no way I was and will let them treat me like that. Here's what I did to act on it and work on a resolution.I got positive results related to multiple months(6) of charges. IMPORTANT***** Work with your bank***They need to know that you did everything you could to resolve the situation. Less is more, I stayed formal and showed where I stand.
1- Request for Subscription Cancellation and Confirmation********
Dear [Company Name] Customer Support,
Please cancel the following subscription immediately and send me a confirmation email once the cancellation has been completed.
Important: Do not process any further payments.
I appreciate your prompt attention to this request.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]

2-Request a refund, backing you with consumer protection law.
FINAL NOTICE; Refund Request
Dear (insert the website title probably showing in the URL, and legal name of corporation )
I am writing regarding unauthorized recurring subscription charges applied to (Name)'s credit card. Despite cancellation, these charges occurred without clear disclosure of the subscription terms.
As a (your Country) consumer, I am protected under:
Under Estonian consumer protection law (TTJA) and EU directives (Unfair Commercial Practices & Consumer Rights Directives), misleading subscription practices are illegal, and companies can face enforcement, including corrective orders and penalties. Subscription traps affecting cross-border consumers are recognized as actionable. (ttja.ee)

I hereby demand a full refund of all charges.
If the refund of $(amount) is not issued upon this request, I will escalate via:
Credit card chargeback;
(List the Agency protection from your country)
Estonian TTJA and European Consumer Centre (ECC) for cross-border enforcement;
This letter serves as formal notice. Prompt resolution is required.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]

3-Used this step because they offer a partial refund.
Request for Confirmation of Full Refund
Dear [Company Name] Customer Support,
Thank you for confirming that my subscription has been cancelled and that a partial refund has been issued.
However, my prior correspondence requested a full refund for all charges incurred since the initial assessment. Your response does not indicate the amount refunded or whether the remaining balance will be returned.
For clarity, receipt of a partial refund will not constitute acceptance of that amount as full and final settlement. I reserve all rights in respect of the remaining balance.
As previously noted, these recurring charges were not clearly and transparently disclosed. Applicable consumer protection legislation in my jurisdiction provides protections against materially misleading or unclear representations in consumer transactions, and similar EU/Estonian frameworks apply to cross-border transactions.
I request written confirmation of:
The exact amount refunded to date
The date the refund was processed
Confirmation that the remaining balance will be refunded in full
If the full amount is not refunded, I will consider pursuing the remaining balance through my credit card issuer’s dispute resolution process and, if necessary, through appropriate consumer protection channels.
I trust we can resolve this matter promptly and without further action.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]

AVOID

Like others on here, very misleading about what you're signing up to. Have been charged monthly £29.95 and only just discovered that. Can't find the account to cancel subcription. Have blocked payments on my card and will contact directly to try and cancel. AVOID

Scam company

Scam company. Asks you to pay £0.99 for test results and says NOTHING about a recurring monthly subscription. A subscription that provides no service. Predatory behavior towards vulnerable people with autism. I have reported as fraud to my credit card company and will charge back the payments. Multiple reviews stating the same and this website has been flagged on multiple autism forums, including reddit, as being a scam.

⚠️ Misleading subscription charges

⚠️ Misleading subscription charges – be very careful

I completed what was advertised as a free autism assessment on autismhelapp.com. After finishing the test, I was asked to pay £0.99 as a one-off fee to view my results, which I agreed to.

However, without any clear warning or informed consent, the company then set up a recurring subscription and has charged my credit card £14.99 four times since 2 November. I did not authorise these payments and was not made aware that I was signing up to a subscription.

After checking Trustpilot, I can see many other people have experienced the exact same issue, which suggests this is not an isolated incident but a pattern.

I have contacted the company requesting a full refund and have also raised this with my bank as unauthorised transactions.

I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious before entering any card details on this website.

DONT USE

DONT USE. They use vulnerable people who just want help to steal their money. When I first paid the small fee to see my test results I had no memory of seeing anything about a subscription. I just recently went to see and it does say now that a monthly subscription fee will start if you don’t cancel. But they make it so hard to cancel. You shouldn’t have to contact them and wait to cancel the subscription. It’s a clear money grab scam. They stole around $100 from me over the span of a few months

FUMING DO NOT TRUST

Saw this on an ad on Facebook and decided to use it. It asked me for a £1 payment which was no biggie. Today, I've checked my bank statement and £19.99 was taken out! Fuming as I don't ever remember paying for a subscription and the website definitely didn't mention that. When I tried to look up the website it stopped me and took me to another website unrelated to it. Based on these other reviews, DO NOT TRUST. I will be contacting my bank to block any further payments and have emailed them to cancel my subscription. Bunch of scamming tw@ts

scamming autistic people…

SCAM preying on autistic people is just sickening. Advertised as “free” and then asks for a $1 payment (should have been the first red flag) and then all of a sudden $24.95 charge I didn’t authorize came out of my account!! Emailed them to say I didn’t authorize this and asked for a refund, they completely by passed the refund and said the subscription has been cancelled. WHAT SUBSCRIPTION?! I didn’t even know I signed up for anything. BEWARE! Calling my credit card company to report fraud.

Scammers with multiple websites

As others have outlined, this company is a scam. They have multiple websites - autismhelpapp.com and autismtestcenter.com. The homepage of their websites states information about the charges and subscription however there is a subpage for the test which is where most people land from Google results. The subpage states that the test is completely free, no sign up required. I was being charged on my credit card until the credit card company flagged the transaction as spam. I have also submitted a report on scam watch and to the police via the cyber crimes website. I don’t expect to receive any refunds at this point but I’d like to warn others about how this company is deceiving people.

To echo all the other reviews

To echo all the other reviews, I was victim of a targeted ad. For 99p I could get my result. I paid this but within a couple of days I saw they had charged me a further £14.99. I wish I had seen these reviews sooner. I contacted the company and they said that they clearly informed me of the subscription but like the other 35 reviews, I hadn’t seen it. Not had they mentioned it in the email they sent and there was no warning of my two day trial coming to an end. I would avoid at all costs.

Scam!

I would rate it zero stars if I could! ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!

I paid 99p for results and the cheeky beggars then took £14.99 from my account a few days later. When I asked them about this, they told me that I should have known that I was setting up a subscription. They didn't like it when I told them that nowhere on their website does it state that it is a subscription service. Not even when I made the 99p payment!

They refused to give me a refund and so I've had to go through my bank to get my money back!

Stay away from this company as they are nothing but a bunch of scammers!

Serious Breach of Australian Consumer Law

As others have found I paid $1 for supposed free test results (this should have been my first read flag) Then 2 days later $24.95 was debited for a subscription that I had not consented to.
I emailed and stated that they were in breach of the Australian consumer law that’s states “it is illegal to deceive customers into a subscription and it must be made clear they are doing so” I also attached some information of another company (Just answer) that the ACCC is taking to court currently for the same deceptive practices. Funnily enough I received a refund about 6 hours later. So for any Australians in the same situation I hope this helps get your money back.

If I could give 0 stars I would.

If I could give 0 stars I would.
Started taking monthly amounts from account. I emailed to cancel the subscription. They emailed back to say it was cancelled and no more payments would be taken. Today another payment was taken. I emailed again, copying in the last email they sent, asked them to cancel and refund the latest payment. Very rude, bullying email sent back. Basically saying I knew what I was signing up for and no refunds happening. I am going to contact my bank directly to block them. Rude, scamming bullies. Avoid at all cost!!!
