Scammer asked that I use this site and send a report to his private email.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!
Here's how it works. When you post a car for sale, someone will call you saying they want to meet. They will cordially introduce themselves with a fake name.
They will set up a time and day then say 'before we meet, get your Auto scan report and email it to me (or bring it)'. Auto scan steals your personal and credit card information.
Red flag:
• when selling a car, the BUYER obtains any car reports, not the seller. IF you agree to provide one, only use CarFax or known and trusted major sites
• Google the website before you enter any personal information
They are running a SCAM! AS SOON AS I put my car up for sale this guy contacts me, and says he wants to buy my car. He acts polite and kind and introduces himself... then he tells me he wants me to run this report on my car. He guilt trips me that he's taking time off work and he's getting his buddy to come down and get this car tomorrow the least I could do is get this report. I'm in the middle of a million things at once and this guy is just making my head spin. He keeps texting me and texting me saying did I get the report yet? He promises to repay me all of the money it cost to get the report plus the asking price for the car. He says he'll be here in the morning. I run the report like a stupid person, totally not even thinking about it. Just think of this SCAM! The people that are doing the text messaging, promising to buy your car, they're the same ones that own this site, which promises you a refund if you're not satisfied but in the terms and conditions says nothing can be returned or refunded! Do not fall for this I lost 88 bucks because I trusted this fool! That's great money if they just do it to 10 people a week! Losers!
Beware of autoscanreport.com. This site charges far more than trusted services like Carfax or AutoCheck, and their tactics are highly questionable. They hire people to pose as buyers for vehicles listed online, pressure sellers to use this specific site for a vehicle history report, and then disappear without completing any transaction. Whether their service is legitimate or not, these practices are deceptive and exploitative—classic scam behavior. Don’t fall for it.
UPDATE: Got a response from the business, terrible customer service along with their scammy tactics. Trying to pull an uno reverse card is crazy work.

I also was pressured to use this site by a buyer for my HD motorcycle. Person hounded me for an entire day until I gave in just to shut him up. Then he never showed at the appointed time for him to come look at the bike. Im afraid I have been scammed one more time.
Definitely a scam. They are not on the NMVTIS, it's a new website with low trust, and the request to buy the report was fishy.
Also, the replies to these reviews uses very poor english.
EDIT: The "company" tried to flag this review as defamation. Simply go to the government NMVTIS to verify what I am saying.
I’m grieving and mistakenly entered the wrong VIN for my report. I chatted with support and they assisted me within minutes, making an already difficult process much more bearable. Thanks, Lucas!

it might be a scam they are not approved by the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) even though they say they are. Might just want your info and cc number. I got pressured into buying this specific report from someone claiming he wanted to buy my car but then he ghosted me.
