So I have over the years had a few questionable experiences with most airlines but wanted to really compliment BA on their complete service this week.
Travelling with an able bodied but 93 year old the entire Heathrow experience was a pleasure.
From entering T5 and wanting 3 seats together changed from the original allocation advice given to an assistance help desk, a welcome "flexible" approach to the one guest rule in the lounge, fuss free pre boarding on a clean an modern plane with very helpful cabin crew.

Terrible Attitude
On the 30th December 2016 our flight to Dublin from LCY was cancelled. i will not go into all the details of the fiasco at the airport. Suffice to say my wife and I were eventually sent to a hotel at Heathrow with the promise of dinner, breakfast and a room for the night. All the roms were taken, BA could not be contacted so we spent a hungry night on the bar floor along with many other disgruntled passengers, there, in the dining room and the lobby.
I still had to pay for my hotel in Dublin yet despite BA not providing us with alternative accommodation they refuse to compensate me.
Definitely the worlds worst airline.
Appalling service on recent return flight to Cape Town, did not get the seats booked on both flights and still waiting for a refund nearly six months later!!!!
Appalling company
Appalling company. Sold me a ticket 9 months in advance to south Africa. 5 months before flying BA were told of a change in visa conditions to carry me (I. E I didn't need a visa when I bought the ticket but did 5 months later.). Although BA knew they made no effort to contact me about it, they let me board the plane only to get refused entry to SA and sent back same day after being detained for 9 hours. Not even a single apology from them. Just a statement saying it's my fault for not rechecking my visa requirements before I flew. SA government fined them for letting me travel so obviously BA is at fault in their view. Not a penny refunded of the £870 ticket. I will never be using this airline again. It's unapologetic, concerned only with money, has filthy badly maintenaned planes and even out back a plane into the fleet that was badly damaged by fire saying "it was as good as new".
I don't know about you people but I don't want to play Russian roulette with my life knowing that plane is out there. There are much better, safer and decent airlines to fly other than British Airways
Hard to get a flight refund out of BA
I had to cancel a BA flight due to a strike, so requested a refund of the £50 I paid for the tickets from their online system. It turns out this isn't enough - you have to phone customer services or nothing happens. After 4 phonecalls I got a refund of £23.60.
Why the difference? A good question, which I have asked BA multiple times, but they have provided no explanation of why they are keeping my money. Their reply is "your refund has been processed". Nine months later, after several letters, I am still waiting.
Now maybe there is a legitimate reason why the balance has been withheld, and maybe there isn't, but to provide no explanation is extremely poor. I expected much better from BA.

As usual the Airline is great their new aircraft are fantastic the A380 is wonderful food great cabin crew fantastic not false as on some airline
Consistently Good
We use BA alot, most recently on a city trip to Turin (which incidentally is a great place to visit).
No large airline is faultless but we have found BA to be very good.
It's not the cheapest but the alternatives are often littered with small print so that the headline rates don't end up quite as they first appeared.
Small things like getting a complimentary coffee don't exist either on these bucket shop airlines.
The on-line booking process is pretty straightforward just make sure (as with all airlines) that you're aware of all the options.
Included in this are some conditions on the type of fare you are booking, so take a minute or two before pressing the OK to book return button!
Check-in also much better than it was a few years ago but maybe this is technology driven.
We fly a lot and (generally) had few flight delay issues either.
The Cabin Services Crew are also very friendly.
We did a Hotel package with for Turin which was amazingly good value and the Hotel was excellent.
