Poor quality material and rude staff

Poor quality material and extremely rude customer service. When the outfit first came it was lovely but I wanted to wash it before putting my it on my new born baby straight after birth. I followed the instructions given and washed on 30 degrees. It does not mention to air dry but being a first time mum and not even owning a tumble dryer we air dry all our clothes. Outfit came out completely ruined and all shrivelled up. I first contacted over Instagram to which my messages was read and ignored. I then emailed and said I am happy to return the products and pay for shipping so they could examine the items to see what had gone wrong to which I had to wait one week for a very rude response telling me that I am lying about how I washed and dried the items and that I ‘obviously have not cared for the outfit’ and that they will not do anything about it. In absolute shock that they treat their customers this rudely and accept no responsibility for their faulty products aswel as accusing me of lying. No partial refund or anything offered to apologise; just rude accusations that it is my fault after following THEIR washing instructions. A company that only cares about money and not their customers. An absolute waste of my time and money especially when I am due to give birth in one month. Absolutely appalling.

Good morning Olivia .

You have contacted us via instagram outside working hours late at night and yet a member of staff responded almost straight away , still you insisted the next morning after contacting me personally that you were ignored which simply isn't true . Though if we want to be reasonable even if no one had responded to you late at night it would also have been absolutely fine too as it was late at night outside working hours!

You claimed that we sold you a defective item which isn't the case! You then claimed that you had no idea what happened , that you washed the outfit you bought from us according to instructions and the outfit just got completely ruined and you kept mentioning the fact that you are pregnant and that somehow you would do us a favour essentially by paying for postage to send back an item that isn't eligible for refund since it got washed and ruined ..

Let me be absolutely clear here :

When i started investigating this issue on your behalf even though the second i saw your pictures i knew this item had been washed badly and dried harshly in the interest of being fair towards your i spend a lot of time liaising with my Supplier and the Manufacturer themselves ( people who work in the industry of garments over 20 years ) to ask for a second opinion . Their opinion was that you did not follow the care instructions!

You know this might sound odd to you but we do work 16 hours a day , we practically live within baby clothing and baby garments . We know how every garment washes , how it stretches , how it dries how long it will last and so on . If you think we can't tell what happened to a garment just by looking at a picture , really you need to think again!

To continue i have also called customers of ours who have bought this very same outfit as you and they all reported that the outfit has washed and dried great!

Finally just so that I could be completely and 100% certain i had one of my staff actually take out of stock and wash one of these outfits and guess what.. it washed and dried perfectly great .. obviously we did follow the instructions ( which in your other review you say don't exist but in this review you say you followed religiously ..... hm )

All in all you just tried to get a free ride out of us while making sure to keep reminding us in an attempt to maybe guilt trip us that you were pregnant .

Baby Iconic is a women founded , women led and women managed company . We had all given birth and we have all been pregnant and while we fully understand the hormonal and physical challenges especially in the last weeks of pregnancy , that might cause stress and unusual behaviour amongst people , we will not be extorted to hand out outfits or refunds to said people .. who clearly aren't truthful .

There will be absolutely no refund and no apology on our part .

Furthermore we will flag this and your other review for dishonesty and will not hesitate to take further legal action should you continue to slander our company with unfounded and false accusations that we are in a position to prove are simple lies .

Unisex suedette boots

Baby boots ordered as unisex but the sole had blue circles on them. Also the fur on one boot has been sewn on twisted, but I have easily corrected it. Very good customer service and they are going to look into the boots sole colour. All products received are of good quality and shipped quickly. Will shop again.

Good morning Alison , i am pleased to see you loved the quality of everything else you bought from us and that you are planning to come back .

In regards to the white suede fur lined booties i would like to mention that they are indeed unisex , the padded sky blue soles definitely do not define the booties into not being unisex , in the same way some of our baby girl bow red shoes do have have black soles but that doesn’t take away from the fact that are shoes designed and manufactured for baby girls . As we do manufacture and restock on a very regular basis those super popular booties we will take your feedback on board and consider it to decide if it worth’s changing the sole to something more neutral such as light grey .

In regards to the booties having a twisted stitch i have to say that even though we do contact very thorough quality control before shipping any items at the end of the day we are all human and sometimes we might miss out on a detail that would make us think that an item shouldn’t be shipped to a customer . For that I am sorry , i will make sure to check the cctv on our packing area and will have a chat with my member of staff that packed your order in order to ask them to be more careful and pay more attention to detail next time they are contacting quality control and packing .

I am a little disappointed that you did not contact me prior to leaving this review as you would have experienced first hand the outstanding customer service we pride ourselves for and you would definitely have realized that we do put our customers at the heart of everything we do at Baby Iconic

In the meantime as we are fully committed to protecting our customers rights i would ask that you contact me so that i can arrange for a replacement or a refund for you .

Our promise to our customers is that we will always make sure to make things right when mistakes might occur so please feel assured that we will make things right for you too .

Ordered a pair of Santa slippers for a baby. They arrived a bit later than I expected, but this was due to the delivery service at this time of year. I must say they are so cute and a fantastic price. Love them . X
