Dont buy from Badcock Semmes, Al

I purchased furnture and it was delivered but, after the delivery people left my home I saw bad scrapes on the dresser and table> i called the store and spoke with a Manager there that lied thru his teeth stating he would come to my home and inspect the furniture and repair or replace the item. He never did but gave me the run around until a week later. I called again and was told the delivery warranty was void due the time limit of 24 hrs. had expired!! It was not my fault the manager told me to wait he had other appointments before me. This location located in Semmes; Al is not a good store the owner wouldn't return my calls after I left tons of messages. Now, I hear the company is going out of business It couldn't happen to a better company..whop,whop hurrah good riddance to bad people!!

BEWARE of corrupt business practices!!

Delivery men presented us with a list of all items to be delivered and asked us to make sure we received all items. We said, "yes", so we were told to sign the paper. While they were setting up the pieces, we began to notice dents, dings, missing paint, misaligned doors and other issues which, the delivery man told us, would be taken care of if we call Badcock and report the problems. So we did, and we were told that because we signed the itemized list, we accepted the shipment AS IS. We were NEVER given that information and were told there would be repairs done. We sent photos of the damage but the company refuses to respond.

Overall Experience was great

Overall Experience was great. Furniture arrived on time and the delivery guys did a good job. The sofa and recliner were manufactured by a firm which appears to be headquartered in China. We got the furniture on sale at what we thought was a pretty good price but 10 days later the price dropped about $300. Badcock refused to issue us a credit since the elapsed time was so short. I remember the days when you had 30 days after buying and if the price dropped, you would get a refund.

Good products, decent customer service! Yay for new furniture

I bought my living room furniture and my sons bedroom furniture from the store in Greenville, NC. Different trips and different sales people. The first time I know exactly what I wanted and I went straight to it and the girl followed me. I was there maybe 20 minutes, she was really nice, good customer service with her and we got exactly what we wanted and it’s been holding up for the last three years so far and he absolutely loves it.
I bought my living room furniture a year later maybe and she was OK, she was knowledgeable and decent, but you could just tell she did not want to be at work and I don’t look bad at that honestly, I don’t always want to be at work!!
Again I went in knowing what I wanted so it was rather easy I feel.
I do want to get myself now a dresser and possibly a headboard and footboard but I don’t know yet. Good store, quality products, and good customer service over all.

Elizabeth Manor Suite--Robert & Claudette Reed

My husband and I bought the Elizabeth Manor bedroom suite: Headboard, Footboard, Rails, Dresser, & Chest for a total of almost $4000 on 8/22/23, also paid almost $170 for delivery. It was delivered on 8/25/23, no problem there. We found out the next week, Badcock was having a Labor Day Sale starting on September 1st. Now, we have both worked in retail and if a sale happens within 10 days of purchase, the customer can return for an adjustment: no such thing at Badcock Furniture!
So, we just decided to go back and purchase the nightstand because now this suite is on sale. We were told by the sales associate that because we were only purchasing one piece, it was not on sale. Spoke with the home office, the price only dropped $35 on a $500 nightstand, ridiculous: they only deducted the sales tax!!! Then I mentioned it would have been helpful if the 1st sales associate would have let us know the sale was coming up, we could have waited and would have purchased the entire set. I was told they had no idea when a sale was occurring (this came from customer service). I have worked in advertising, and I am no fool, I know sales are known well in advance, stop the BS! Not a happy customer...we walked out to let them keep it!!!

Please don’t waste your money on the…

Please don’t waste your money on the protection plan, I just went through a month of trying to repair or replacement,the repair technician was great said the arm could be replaced, denied by company in Bradenton Florida, Babcock Furniture offered me a new chair at discount price, seriously disappointed.

Had a problem with my sofa and…

Had a problem with my sofa and technician came out and repaired the small problem. Cudos and Plus 10 do the technician Jamey McBath. Wonderful personality and very professional. Respectful of property.👍👍👍👍👍.Overall we have never had any problems with this company or their employees. I recommend them highly. Treat people like you would like to be treated❤️

Don't go to Badcock Home Furnishings and more.

We ordered a sofa, two recliners, three end tables and two lamps. We were told everything was in the warehouse except the lamps, which were in the showroom. They said they put our name on the other items and we would have everything in two weeks.
Two weeks later they didn't call so we called them and they said the warehouse messed up and didn't ship it and said it would be in "next week". They called the next week and said our sofa was in but the chairs and tables would be two more weeks as the warehouse didn't ship them for delivery...we said hold the sofa and bring everything at one time so we didn't have to pay the ~$140 delivery fee twice. They said ok. But called a week later and said they want to deliver the sofa now and would not charge us a second delivery fee since it was a warehouse issue, so we said ok go ahead and deliver the sofa. We asked about the remaining items and they said the rest of our furniture would be 2 more weeks and they would call to set up delivery when they came in.

Fast forward 2+ weeks and we didn't hear from them to schedule delivery. So, I called and they checked and told us the chairs would be in early Sept...I told them we were told when we paid for the furniture it was all in the warehouse and our "name is on them". Now after 5 weeks you are telling us that it won't be coming until Sept.

They clearly misrepresented to us the true availability and delivery of the furniture. They said two weeks so we moved out our old furniture in anticipation of the furniture being delivered in 2 weeks as they stated.

At this point we've been sitting in our living room on lawn chairs since the end of April.

We told them that Sept is unacceptable. They said there wasn't anything they could do about the timing.
We told them come pick up the sofa and lamps, and refund our entire purchase plus delivery fee.

They did pick up the sofa and lamps and refunded all but the delivery fee, because they stated "we provided the service", which we originally told them to hold and deliver everything at once.

We're still sitting on lawn chairs, but have found new furniture and we were told up front it would be 2 to 6 weeks, which we are ok with because they were honest with us and we were able to make an informed decision.

Stay away from Badcock Home Furnishings and more.

NEVER EVER BUY FURNITURE FROM BADcockBADCOCK

NEVER EVER BUY FURNITURE FROM BADCOCK, hence the word "bad". Jan 2022, bought a couch and 2 matching recliners. POS!
Already had to have one recliner picked up and "serviced". Had a dip in seat after 2 mths, and so they just stuffed it with padding, now it's like sitting on a booster seat.. anyhow, then the threads are coming out on my couch, and they've yet to pick it up to "service " it. And as of 2 nights ago the other recliner just broke. My husband pulled the handle to recline it and you could literally hear the mechanisms breaking, smh.... Soooo, I get my paperwork out on the furniture, called the customer care number on it and of course they want to schedule a pick up to "service" it. I don't want this sorry mess serviced, I want them to pick it up and do you know what with it. Also in my warranty and insurance paperwork, there is a "Lemon Guarantee "..... Well I think I got 3 lemons, don't you ?
But of course, they are very very sorry that I'm having this trouble and theres nothing they can do.....I don't need sorry, I need them to step up and do good business. But that's ok, I will make sure to get the word out of how "sorry" they are about this. And in the meantime, I plan on calling their customer service ALOT until I get some kind of satisfaction. Wrong is wrong....
And I'm just getting started on getting some kinda action, because it makes me sick to my stomach to think that i will be paying $2,900.00 for this crap, that obviously will not even last until it gets paid off, HELL , all 3 pieces hadn't made it 6 months already !

Visited a store in clarksville and the young man that "assisted us" was an ignorant jerk. Wasn't a big fan of the floating manager as he didn't attempt to rectify the situation. Not only did they have wrong price listed on item we wanted ( item on floor listed at 499.99 but kid tried to charge 799.99 ) but didn't even list item in stores catalog. So we left very disappointed only to find out they had another Clarksville location. Went to other store and met Ashley the lead sales associate. Well to simply say she helped us is an understatement. Not only did she go to extraordinary lengths to rectify this but got us the upgraded item at the lower cost. A woman that truly enjoys her job and enjoys helping folks. Singlehandedly restored our faith in Badcock as the other young man soured our opinion. Thanks again Ashley

Bad is right

I had spent $8.000 for living room set at Badcock, I bought warranty, called and was told they would replace whole set. Wasted 2 months waiting on replacement was gonna spend another $1000 in their store for a dining room set. Was told they would call us back, had to call them. The manager was rude and disrespectful. What a bunch of lazy, useless and lying people. I will Never buy anything else from them.

Badcock gets a BAD NAME from the store in Griffin GA!

The customer service is the absolute worst out there. The store manager Ashley is a joke of a manager. She takes ZERO accountability for her employees.

There is NO REASON that a customers phone numbers should be changed from primary to secondary WITHOUT being asked. There is also no reason that BOTH numbers should not be called if it is dealing with a customer and their furniture that you have had for OVER 6 months.

When I called in to see where my couch was, I was CONSTANTLY given the run around. I finally called corporate and thought I was getting somewhere. NOPE. That's a JOKE too, and a waste of time might I add.

Not only did the store keep my furniture (that I had to send in because it was broken as soon as we got it) for 6+ months (The second time), they kept it so long that the warranty ran out and NEVER ACTUALLY FIXED THE BROKEN COUCH. So now I am stuck with BROKEN furniture that I am still paying on.

RUN as far and as fast as you can from this company. It is an absolute dumpster fire.

Always treat people right? That's their motto. It is a LIE and they DO NOT care about their customers or the issues that they are having.

Don't buy warranty if you take care your things

I bought a couch about two years ago and the warranty.
The couch still looks great but seat cushions have sunken down when setting on them. The warranty doesn't cover there bad workmanship just stains and rips. So I'm still setting on a couch the is uncomfortable and out of my warranty money.

Useless warranty. Don't waste your money

Bought a leather sofa from Badcock. They pushed a warranty so I took it. The salesman said it covers everything. File a claim and read their response below.

Unfortunately, cracking and peeling of leather is not covered under your extended service contract. Please review your contract, specifically the “What is not covered” section for further information. We apologize for the inconvenience; at this time, we have denied your claim.

Unprofessional, Ill-bred, Liar and Fraud!

I purchased a washer in May 2020 and was told by Tiffany the sale's person that there was a lifetime warranty and that I had nothing to worry about. She even started talking about the washer that she brought also. Once I received the washer I called back asking for the warranty and she told me that all I had to do was call Badcock when I needed the washer serviced because it was under my phone number at that point. I continued to ask her was she sure, and she stated to me on several occasions that all I needed to do was call Badcock and that was it. I called her on January 19th, 2022, to have my washer serviced and Tiffany told me that my warranty ended in May 2021. I reminded her that she told me that it was under a lifetime warranty, and she then said for me to call Maytag. May I remind you that I asked this person and was told it was a lifetime warranty and all I had to do was call. She's a liar, ill-bred, unprofessional fraud. I was misled by her she flat out lied just to get a sale. This isn't the first incident with her at Badcock, but it will be the last.

Please stop selling furniture you can't…

Please stop selling furniture you can't deliver as told. I am not upset with the employee's of this store they simply want to sell furniture. However, this is the second time this has happened to me and it needs to me known before you place an order. On my first order a year ago, I ended up having to travel to Asheville and Waynesville to finally get my sectional and recliner off the floors after being told it would not be delivered as promised but would take months to receive.
This week I ordered a table and chairs, was told there were 13 in stock and it was first come first served. So I ordered one of the 13 in stock and was told I could pick up on Friday. Today I get a call saying the 13 were already given out and that I would now have to wait until March. Now told It would be 3 months to wait on an order I was told I would have this Friday. It's just really poor business practice. First come is what I was told, my name should have been attached to one of the 13 available upon signing my contract! SInce this is the second time this has happened to me this seems to be the practice of Badcocks to sell on the promise of short-term and then call you to give you the bad news of having to wait for months to get what you ordered! Very unhappy with the business practice of Badcocks! I should also mention the 1.5 hour wait time on the phone just to speak to someone about the issue all while hearing how wonderful Badcocks is and how customer service is always first and foremost! I am disappointed with my experience!
