Established in 1940, the British Association of Dental Nurses - the UK's professional association for dental nurses, proudly represents thousands of dental nurses nationwide and supports dental nurses through their professional and personal life journey. Our association mission core is to support dental nurses and we work hard to ensure dental nurses have everything they need, providing many membership benefits to help them excel and advance in their professional careers. Our mission: To empower dental nurses to advocate and advance the role of dental nursing through a platform of lifelong learning in order to enable a level of competently applied knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours related to the progression from novice to expert practice, that underpin the evolving demands of current and future oral healthcare for the UK population.

An excellent service.

I phoned up and left a message and it wasn’t long till I was phoned back.
I went online to re-register and I couldn’t change it to part time hours, as I do less than 20 hours now.
A lovely lady explained only they could change it, their end, to part time registration.
I also said I didn’t get a membership card last year. She said she would send one. I also told her, I had been a member since 1984, when I passed my qualification exams.
It only took a couple of days and my membership card came. Also, to my delight, a BADN 80 years badge and a 25 years membership badge. So all in all, I had an excellent experience with the BADN. Top marks and many thanks.

no magazines

would like to receive magazines but badn do not send them out anymore so really upset about this

Unfortunately we no longer send out free hard copies due to printing and distribution costs. However, if you would like a hard copy of the journals, these can be purchased from our BADN shop for £15 per year ( that's 4 journals at £3.75 each). We would remind that a free digital copy is available for our members, and it can be downloaded from the members' area free of charge!

Renewal and paying membership fee.

I could not renew my associate membership on your website or using the app. Email, website and app informed me my membership was due but every time I clicked renew, I was informed my membership was not due. The dates membership was due, changed many time, eventually I had to rejoin. Not user friendly and annoying.
