My husband went to see Dr Tuna for a gastric sleeve and a hernia operation and had the best experience with him and his team, the care was amazing they could have not done more for him. Nothing was too much trouble would definitely recommend to anyone considering weight loss surgery.

I spent almost 2 years researching multiple surgeons and hospitals. I joined every group you could think of on every social media platform possible and the same name kept coming up that was glowing. Dr Tuna. I knew for a very long time that Dr Tuna was the surgeon I was going to pick to start my journey with, and I must say I was not disappointed. I reached out to Kirsty, who was there day and night to answer any questions I had (and believe me, there were many). I had to travel on my own, and the care and support I had was absolutely amazing. The airport transfers were smooth and easy, not to mention luxury! Sirin in Turkey was fantastic, she coordinated all of my care whilst I was there and was on hand constantly to help. The hospital was in Antalya and it was like a resort, it was so clean and well kept it didn’t feel like I was in the hospital at all. The staff nurses there were also amazing. The vigorous pre op testing was so assuring: ultrasound, X-rays, endoscopy, heart scans, ECGs, bloods (not to mention seeing 6 different professionals before surgery) I really felt like the testing they do is so so thorough. I first met Dr Tuna and I was nervous and anxious about being on my own, and I just remember feeling so much better once I’d met him. He made me feel at ease and he has such a lovely calmness about him I just knew I was in great hands. He has a fantastic reputation and after going through this, I can see why. He cares about his patients. I remember being taken down for surgery and I was shaking with nerves. He just put his hand on my face and made me feel seen and calm in a room full of strangers, I truly felt so safe with him. The post op care was phenomenal, and every single member of staff who interacted with me was polite, professional and genuinely cared. I cannot fault any part of the entire process. I am so thankful to Dr Tuna and his team for giving me this opportunity at a new lifestyle and I can’t wait to share my success with them all!

I have just had a gastric bypass with Dr Tuna and his team. I had some health issues that were being exacerbated by my weight, and have lived with acid reflux for nearly 20 years. Therefore the recommendation was RNY Bypass.

I cannot fault the level of care I have received during this entire process. The hospital was incredible, the hotel accommodation after was beautiful, and the entire team offered nothing but continuous support whenever needed. Dr Tuna himself is such a kind and wonderful man who instantly puts you at ease. I had researched this option for nearly 3 years before deciding to go ahead with the surgery. During that time I had other consultations with other surgeons but ultimately I ended up booking with Bariatrics and Beyond because Dr Tuna’s credentials were unmatched, his reviews were impeccable, and having met him in person during an event in Milton Keynes i realised that no other surgeon had made me feel as comfortable. It was an easy decision to make.

Life changing seems so cliche but it’s true! I’m 3 years post surgery with Dr Tuna and quite frankly he and his team have given me my life back. From start to finish the process was seamless, the care is 2nd to none , I was 50 when I had this procedure and my recovery was excellent, follow the rules and you’ll be fine. Say goodbye to your old ways, old habits and start again , the only regret you’ll have it’s why didn’t I do it sooner .

Exceptional Care Beyond Expectations!

From the moment I began my gastric bypass revision journey with Dr. Tuna and the incredible team at Bariatrics and Beyond, I knew I was in the best hands. I originally had a gastric band, and was understandably nervous about the revision, but their professionalism, compassion, and dedication instantly put me at ease.

The hospital was immaculate and modern, and every single member of staff from the surgeons to the nurses to the coordinators went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, informed, and truly cared for throughout the entire process. The level of attention and support I received far exceeded anything I had expected.

What stood out just as much was the care shown to my husband, who accompanied me as my support person. He was treated with such kindness and consideration, never made to feel like just a bystander. The team made sure he was well looked after, informed, and included every step of the way.

Superb service, from pre booking, to surgery with exceptional aftercare, which includes dietician, weekly support group, therapy support. The hospital team are fantastic with translators as required.Support all the way through. I booked the assissed travel, which was excellent.
Dr Tuna is kind, compassionate, caring and thorough. The pre op blood tests, chest xray etc all ensure that you are fit for surgery . During your hospital stay, you are closely monitored with daily blood tests and regular observation checks.
Another really positive thing for me is that I never felt any pressure. I did my research and when I contacted the company, from that point on it was a two way process with true shared decision making about whether to go ahead with surgery.

I had my sleeve with Dr. Tuna on 01/07/25 and had a great experience. I looked into so many different surgeons and companies, but went with Dr. T because of his strong UK based support system and credentials as a master surgeon. His UK team go above and beyond to to welcome you into the community and prepare you for surgery, I had a dedicated Patient Support Adviser (Anne) who would check in with me from time to time as well as Lydia, Katie and others I’ve met along the way, all who have been great. I also love that you get aftercare in the form of support calls, buddy mentors, dietician support, therapy etc - it’s so much more comprehensive than any other programme out there.

While I was out in Türkiye Lydia and Katie helped us to navigate the airport, the local area and hospital even though we hadn’t booked assisted travel - I’m so grateful to them for being on call to respond to our needs even when it was late and they didn’t need to.

The translators Zeynep and Şirin were also around til very late and always supported our needs. I had great care in the hospital (which was nicer than any UK hospital), my IVs were changed regularly and nurses always responded when I rang the buzzer. Blood tests and physical checks were done daily after the operation to make sure we were doing okay.

Dr. T himself was v knowledgeable and professional and he performed my surgery really well. I knew I was in good hands with him - he also provided us discharge papers in English and his team provide a whole bag of goodies to take home with us to start our journey. Dilek, our dietician, is also very responsive, knows about UK brands etc. and found alternative options for me when I wasn’t able to eat certain things.

I don't know where to begin - this isn't an easy decision for anyone and I have to say there was zero pressure from start to finish and I felt in total control of all decisions and consulted where needing guidance along the way.

I have decided that with my lifestyle, job and generally how I have been my entire adult life I was on a 1 way road to numerous weight related issues and decided after seeing the incredible transformation of my wife who also had an OAGB (mini gastric bypass) with Dr T that this was what I wanted to do.

Personally the cosmetic/aesthetic side of weight loss surgery was never the driving force and my mind was always focused on my health and being here as long as I can for my beautiful wife and two sons.

Before choosing dr Tuna at Barritrics and Beyond I did extensive research. Finally I found Dr Tuna and he ticked all the boxes. I was especially impressed that he is a registered master surgeon. He also uses tri staple technology. As im anervous traveller i chose to go on the assistedtravel programme and was assisted by the lovely Katie Green. From start to finish the whole experience was painless. I recovered really well with no issues whatsoever despite being an old girl of 60. Dr Tuna and hi team ae amazing and have given me a healthier future. I would highly reccomend to anyone wanting bariatric surgery.

Because of Katie I went down for surgery with a clear head and with full understanding of what would happen and at what time and why it was happening and I'll never forget that kindness and how much it helped me remain calm and stress free. I've had quite a few stints with doctors and hospitals and I can confidently say that Dr Tuna is the best I have ever experienced and it is clear as day why he is in medical field as he has so much compassion and desire to help others and I'll count my lucky stars that bariatrics is his field. He was always available to us, incredibly reassuring and encouraging. If anyone was to ever come to me in the future asking for recommendations for weight loss surgery. I had a gastric sleeve with Dr Tuna Bilecik on 28th April 2025. I used thier assisted travel package which was so beneficial having that extra layer of support. Dr Tuna is a fantastic surgeon and cares for his patients. He comes to visit you before surgery and a few times after to check in with you. I genuinely dont think I'd of gotten a better experience anywhere else and for that I'd recommend him and the team time and time again.

I had a gastric band and after 8 years the band had slipped and I had problems with it. From the moment I first spoke to Lydia, I felt her can do attitude. In fact the whole team have that same vibe. Nothing is too much trouble, Dr Tuna has a boyish charm, he genuinely cares for his patients, you don't feel like you are on a conveyor belt. The aftercare is amazing, you feel like you are in a family that really care for you... no judging, they have all been patients themselves. I have my life back and I've a gastric sleeve as my new best friend, this for me is my commitment to myself to have the health and body I deserve and desperately want. I had mgb by Dr tuna I'm 2 yrs post op and have just had emergency surgery spending time in icu and 2 weeks in hospital. The surgeons have asked me to contact Dr tuna as surgery was preformed in turkey. I have tried on numerous occasions (as he states aftercare is included) but no one from the company will reply. I had my gall bladder out at time of mgb was deemed fit to fly although in agony spent a further 12 weeks in UK hospital. If Dr tuna could reply to my emails and messages would be a start
