I just received this bag and if you were looking for something that actually holds a drinking bottle for you and or your dog or both this is not the bag for you. Unless you happen to use a baby bottle or a toddler cup you cannot fit a bottle into the side pouch. The advertising is at best questionable, I had very high hopes and spent a lot of money it's going back today. I am shaking my head, perhaps if you're walking a poodle around the block this bag will work for you but for many dog owners who walk and hike I would pass on this brand.

I have bought 2 bags before and then purchased a treat bag. Using a quick checkout I didn’t realise that a vet plan costing £4.99 a month had been added to the basket. When I was billed a month later I complained. They admitted that emails probably went to junk but refused to refund my payment for something I didn’t want and had unknowingly signed up to.
Really disappointed. Bags are good but this is truly misleading. I wouldn’t on principle buy from them again.

Would give zero if possible, scam artists

Incredibly poor quality. Broken upon arrival and refused to sort it. Just trying to get you to buy another.

I will not buy from this company again. Be very aware of them hiding a subscription for their 247 Vet Line when you purchase anything. I did not willingly purchase this yet have automatically been charged for a monthly subscription which has now come out of my bank. They will not refund it. Apparently this is automaticity added to your basket so if you miss this you are committed until you cancel. I also never received any emails about this subscription, just money taken from my bank. Shocking tactics to try and get people to sign up and then shocking customer service not refunding when it’s clearly not something I wanted to purchase. If it was a decent company it would let people add the subscription to their basket if they wanted it!!! I have purchased a couple of nice bags from this company and would have done again but after this won’t be shopping with them again!

Warning, stay away! Sent shoddy products. Got it out to use for the first time.to notice the chord on the draw string pocket was frayed. Refused to mend and expected me to pay again for a replacement. Bag was received open too so wouldn't be surprised if they sent me someone else return. Wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing!

Whilst the bag is good I totally agree with the previous comment about signing you up for a 24/7 online vet subscription. I lost my dog last year and don’t get my puppy until the end of April. It was not made clear or obvious about signing up to this subscription and I did not realise until the money had come out of my account after the free trial of a month which then automatically subscribes you unless you cancel. I wrote to them and the response I had was poor. Just to say sorry you don’t want to continue with your subscription. I then wrote to them again as I said this subscription was not clear and they have not bothered to respond. I explained that I would never have agreed to a subscription as I currently don’t have a dog. I don’t understand how buying a simple bag which is all I required has ended up with me subscribed me to a service I clearly don’t require. I personally would not use this company again as you really should just be able to purchase a product without any further complications. Had the company responded to my subsequent email I would not have felt the need to write this review.

The dog bag itself is good and I have no complaints about the product.

However, I was disappointed to discover that the online checkout automatically signs you up to a “247VetLine: Online Video Vet Advice” subscription for £4.49 per month on an ongoing basis. This was not made sufficiently clear and leaves a very bad taste.

In my opinion, this feels like a sharp practice, which is surprising from a Dragons’ Den family business founded by former teachers.

After trying 4 different bum bags & finding them all far too small for my needs, I bought the original Barking Bag in khaki. It’s a great looking bag, & the quality is fantastic. Both Abbie & Cornelia were a great help when I had some trouble putting my order through.

I bought the treat bag and have been somewhat disappointed. Firstly the treats fall out when leaning forward despite claims to the contrary.
The waist strap is not able to be removed so that you can use the shoulder strap so you just have the bulky waist strap hanging unless you cut it off or unpick the stitches. The waist strap isn’t long enough to wear over a winter coat either. All in all I am really disappointed and can’t return as it has now been used.

My treat size Barking Bag is perfect for puppy training both indoors and out and about. The 3 ways to wear gives me options for every scenario.

I bought 'The Original Bag' - within 6 weeks the zip toggle had broken. I continued to use the bag but it is quite cumbersome. Also, if you have too much weight in it (e.g. I store my dog's 5m long lead in the main compartment which is actually not that heavy) the shoulder strap starts to slip and gets longer as you walk so before you know it, it's round your knees. Not what I expected from a dog walking bag. Very disappointing.

Ordered a bag from their website and PayPal incorrectly put my old address on the shipping information.

I emailed the company less than 3 minutes after order to explain the issue and asked for the order to have the address amended or cancelled.

I received a reply an hour later telling me the item has been locked in for delivery and that I would have to wait for ‘delivery to fail’ and the item to be returned to them before I could be issued a refund.

I enquired what would happen if someone now living at my old house accepted the delivery but they could not answer this question.

I received a notification three hours after I emailed stating it has been shipped, so they had plenty of time to cancel the order or amend the address. They simply didn’t want to.

The order was sent via Royal Mail with no requirement for a signature, therefore it was delivered to my old address by the post man.

It is clear they never intended to issue a refund as it would never have ‘failed delivery’ therefore would never have been returned to them for a refund to be issued.

They have lied and deliberately sent the order to the wrong address despite my requests, knowing it would be delivered in what I can only believe was their hope I would order a second one.

Save your time, effort and money and order from one of the many other providers out there who actually provide customer service, unlike these liars.

First bag the lining wasn’t stitched in and Barking Bags replaced it within about 10 days. The second bag I have used for two weeks and the oil from the kibble I use for training an assistance dog has leaked through, I only put the amount of kibble in that I need for a training session. I don’t want to use it now because it can stain clothing. Barking Bags apologised for the inconvenience but told me there was nothing they could do as they had not caused the damage. They suggested I put the treats in a suitable container inside the bag! Basically the treat bag is not fit for purpose. I have had treat pouches previously and have never had this issue. I would not recommend anybody buy this. You need a reliable product when training assistance dogs and I would have expected a more positive response from the company

I brought the original bag and straight away the toggles came off (which I could live with) but then after a couple of months the bag started to come apart. I contacted Barking Bags and the customer service was prompt and they were quick to offer a replacement but I'd lost faith in the quality and asked for a refund but they have refused to give me one. They are still offering a replacement but I know the bag will just end up in landfill and don't want to have to put two bags in there so I've decided to just loose my money.

Bought the original bag - not had it long, but unfortunately I'm not impressed. I wouldn't normally spend so much on a bag that's only going to get mucky but I had high hopes for a bag with such good reviews. Alas, I'm disappointed.

The good: the product seems to be made from reasonable enough material, and I upgraded the strap to the hi-vis one, which really is hi-vis. The inner compartment is a good size for everyday items and a dog toy or two.

The not so good: the hanging hooks on the front thomp against the bag when I'm walking - irritating if I tune into it. While handy, the bottle holder isn't very big. The hi-vis strap won't stay the length I set it to. If you're body positive, the strap isn't very long - you'll probably end up with the bag in your armpit. The back pocket has no fastenings so it's a bit pointless. Not tried it, but I suspect that the bag still be far too big/heavy to comfortably wear as a waist bag. The flap only has two small magnets so doesn't automatically fall shut - I have to carefully line them up.

The outright useless: the treat pouch!! Which was the whole damn point of me buying the bag - I didn't want lots of separate bags hanging off my belt. The treat section is tiny - fine if you only want a few treats, completely pointless if you are frequently rewarding/ training. I only have small hands but I struggled to get treats out without scuffing my fingers on the zip. If you want to open the main compartment of the bag you have to remember to shut the treat section first or they spill out. The treat compartment can't be cleaned so I suspect it would become a science experiment of grease and rotting crumbs in no time at all... let alone if you want to use hotdogs or chicken!

I've ended up turning the net pouch meant for poop into a treat pouch by lining it with my old treat bag, and hung a roll bag for poop above the bottle holder - fine in the winter but will be completely gross to do that come summer when I actually want to carry water.

I purchased one of the barking bags recently, after buying one a while back. I was really surprised to see the quality has gone downhill! Already there are signs of wear on the new one, where as the original looks in great condition. I definitely will not be buying from them again, you can buy much cheaper bags that are better quality than this.

Barking Bags had a sale on and their Original dog Bags were £26.99 reduced from £39.99.
So even though my old Barking Bag is still going strong I couldn’t resist so brought one.
I’m absolutely shocked at what cheap rubbish it is. It’s thinner cheap shiny material. Cheap clips. The bottle space is smaller. The strap is very thin and cheap. There is just a pouch on the back which is open to the elements and I won’t be able to put keys or money in it.
I am so disappointed in Barking Bags that they have used such cheap materials and followed what every other company has done by using inferior materials.
I would like to return it but and will have a look how easy that is.
I didn’t get a reply to the email I sent to them about the Shop.app which they use when you purchase from them which has terrible reviews so I’m not expecting much joy with trying to return it for a refund.
I have an Original Barking Bag. I brought it second hand August 2023. It was nearly new. I love it. It looks expensive. It’s strong and roomy. Has a zipped space on the back to keep keys or valuables. It is sturdy strong material and has big clips. The strong shoulder strap is thick and robust. I am a dog walker/boarder so I use it every day, all day.

After hearing about the barking bags on TV, I purchased one for my wife’s birthday present. Initially all looked ok and well designed. After only 3 months of use holes appeared in the water bottle holder. I had also purchased the water bottle from Barking bags, so it is the one the bag is designed to hold. I contacted customer services to be told wear and tear is expected! My wife’s previous bag from Amazon was less than half the price of this bag and lasted for 2 years before signs of wear and tear. The material used is not fit for purpose. I would not purchase this item again, and would certainly NOT recommend it.

I’ve ordered The Original Bag - Khaki as well as a water bottle on the 13th of August. Unfortunately, I didn’t like the design of this bag and returned both items back.
I’ve sent this bag to Huboo Returns on the 21st of August, but not had refund yet. I’ve contacted the company on the 11th of September and received a very generic response:
‘I have contacted our returns team to get this checked over for you, once I have received confirmation I can go ahead and process the refund for your return, please rest assured I am chasing this up for you.’
Since then, nobody has ever been in touch with me.
I’m very disappointed with their customer service and would never buy from them again.
