Orders cancelled incorrectly (not verified by computer review)
I cannot recommend ordering online from their site.
Their online ordering system sends orders marked "confirmed" through an automated computer "review" of the order. Both times I ordered something from the Barnes & Noble online store, the order was cancelled later. The first time it happened, I didn't know it didn't actually get delivered. This second time, I got an email the following day saying the order was cancelled by them.
Then I had to make the time-consuming call to them -- wait on hold, then play the 20 question games (okay it was only 7 questions to verify me and the order, but still ridiculous given I had the order number etc).
Then the "supervisor" had to get more permissions to go into my account and manually verify the order. I have little faith it will go better because the supervisor said she doesn't know why it didn't pass the computer verification.
