Beaurepaires Aust. - Newport Avis 8

I made an appointment to fit two new tyres at Beaurepairs, Newport. The initial contact was positive. The young man made efforts to source suitable tyres and an installation date. Disappointingly, on the day of installation I didn’t receive any sort of greeting upon arrival. I felt as though I was interrupting. After stating my business, I was questioned as to why I was only purchasing x2 tyres. The guy smirked when I told him I couldn’t afford x4tyres at that time. My car had recently been serviced and I was shown that two tyres on the one side of the car needed to be replaced, due to the car being out of balance. The guy glared at me, again smirking. Nothing was said, he disappeared out the door behind him! Being happy with the tyres and hoping I’d strike a different employee, I visited Beaurepairs, Newport for the remaining set of tyres. I was told there were some available at the Preston branch and that I would be given a call to confirm. The call never came. They definitely had my correct contact number. The “jacked up” bill is another story. It was a horrible experience. I was made to feel stupid. The tyres I had fitted were not cheap. $175 each. I don’t know why I was treated the way I was and wonder if I was a man I might have been treated with more respect? I was never rude. I have taken my car there previously, but never again. My family will also not take their cars there again. I’ve since had the second set of tyres installed by Tyreright in Altona and they were fantastic. The difference in service like chalk and cheese.

Too my car in on a Saturday to get 4 new tyres and a wheel alignment and I got the car back over an hour later and the wheel alignment was worse than when I too it in. I called back and gave the opportunity to let them correct it and said I would bring it back for him to fix it. The person who did the job said he couldn't do it on the same day and I told him I'm working during the week and couldn't bring it in. I arranged for someone else to take it in Monday morning providing it could be done at 8.00am which the guy agreed to. On Monday the car is delivered to the store and they say they can't do it until 9.00am which is too late for the person dropping it off for me. So after stuffing the wheel alignment they stuff me around when I give them the opportunity to remedy it. They did not care about everyone's time they have wasted in this process. Conveniently the person who booked it in for 8.00am Monday isn't in all week. This place is a complete waste of time and Money.

Great service and competitive pricing. The fitted and balanced the new tyres while I waited.

Excellent service, technically sound, nice staff

It is some time since I purchased the tyres but I seem to remember that the service was very good.
Due to covid-19 I would say that I have not used my vehicle a great deal, but
I have had no trouble with the tyres since.

I thought the team at beaurepaires Newport were very friendly and helpful. Their advice was also very helpful.

The fitting was prompt but there was no information about any after-sales service, when questioned, it felt very dismissive.
