This is a scam
This is a scam. Paid £1 last August somehow. I have no recall as to when and how and then £39.99 each month since until my bank notified me that this could be suspicious this month February. Stopped my credit card and replaced it as the only way to prevent further fraud.

Review Update, Informed my bank and money back
in my account next day. RESULT!!!!
I don't even know how I became…
I don't even know how I became subscribed to this "service"! I Just noticed small amounts being taken from my bank and investigated this morning. BBooks.space (as appears on my bank statements) is nowhere to be found online, but bebooks is and it was the site that I managed to unsubscribe from!
The only thing I can think of, is that I inadvertantly clicked on something whilst trying to download a parking app back in January and they've been taking £2 a week ever since!!
I have managed to unsubscribe, but I had to use their "chat bot" as the unsubscribe feature on their site was not working. I have informed my bank, but as I apparently "agreed" to this, I will only be able to claim back anything they take from this day going forward, after my unsubbing. Sadly I wont get back what I've already lost. :(
Just discovered today I have been…
Just discovered today I have been scammed by "Bebook.space" too. I got duped into somehow paying £1 for something else, not quite worked out what yet. But reading how others got scammed it could be anything. I noticed a £39.99 'pending' transaction on my account today & they also took the same last month. As I pay off all my Christmas transactions in Jan, I thought it must be something I had bought & couldn't account for so the Jan one went through. Halifax have been helpful, but as I unwittingly 'agreed' to the £1, it's not fraud but will go to the Dispute Team once its gone through. The online 'chat'with this company fobs you off & is all lies. They have said they will cancel my 'subscription' but no email sent as promised, in fact I've never had an email from them. Cards cancelled & passwords changed 😡
SCAM by small amounts at first.
After stupidly agreeing to pay £1 to activate an account, sums of £2 were deducted from my account, then £9.99. At this point I contacted my bank to halt any further payments. I was then asked by my bank to contact Bebooks to cancel 'subscription' which I did. No mention of a refund. I highly recommend you don't use this company.
Fraud!
Fraud!! They toke 15€, I couldn’t block it, after I did, they try 40€. Had to renew my card.
Just a total SCAM
Yes, I have also just been duped by this QR scam. Thankfully, after finding the reviews on this site, I called my bank and they said it is a known scam and have blocked any recurring payments from this dodgy company. They also advised me to cancel my card and order a new one, which I am going to do after withdrawing some cash to tide me over.
SCAM SCAM
SCAM SCAM. Same as a lot of others. Scanned a QR code in a restaurant and asked to pay £1 to activate. Two days later I was charged £39.99 to my credit card. Contacted Nationwide and told to contact Bebooks myself. I did email them and asked for a refund. They did respond and said as a gesture of goodwill, refunded the £39.99 and cancelled my subscription even though I never agreed to a subscription!
They should be convicted
I have selected 1 star to enable me to write this review but as others have said it should be ZERO.
This has happened to me twice within the space of a month and I am now waiting for a third replacement card. Both times, first £1 then £31.99. I have never heard of Bebooks.space, haven't used a QR scanner or downloaded any apps. How they have got my details twice I have no idea. I just hope karma pays them back soon...
Scam company
Scam company. Tried to set up itvx app on my tv. Using a QR code. Next thing I see is that bbooks have taken 99p then a further £39.99. Scam company
As an update I'm in the process of raising a dispute with them via my bank which I would advise anyone to do. I've also raised a complaint with act on fraud and trading standards so well see where it goes.
Total scam
Total scam. I was using a photo printing machine in a local supermarket when I was duped into providing my bank card details via a QR code which wasn't for the photo machine. They took £1 and then another £39.99 for a subscription I knew nothing about. I contacted them on chat after trying to use their website to cancel and getting nowhere. They had the cheek to offer me 50% back as 'an offer of goodwill' which I declined, I gave them a deadline of 10am today to come back to me with a full refund and surprise surprise I haven't heard back and now raised two disputes via my bank. Not happy whatsoever with being conned out of £40.99 in total.
Scam !!
Scam !!! They don't deserve one star, it's zero star. I have never had of them until my bank ( Barclays) contacted me that a payment of £39.99 had been declined. I was also told that I had paid them £1 few days before. Never heard of them. I remembered scanning a QR code when I downloaded a smart switch app because I wanted to transfer my details from an old phone to a new phone , wouldn't allow me to do it unless I pay £1 which I did.

Many people say they were defrauded via QR code - I have no idea how they got my credit card details and charged me £1 and a day later £39.99 but got a security text from Barclaycard this evening and hopefully they will resolve.
They only thing I have done is download Vinted so maybe they hijacked that process.

Also been scammed exactly like others. Scanned a QR code in Waitrose then £1 pending later £39.99. Natwest said get in touch with the company to dispute it! Seeing as they are scammers that is never going to happen! To get my money back I have to go to trading standards! Thanks NatWest. To be fair to NatWest they later refunded me the £39.99
This also happened to me
This also happened to me , I raised it with Nat West and once the payment to bebooks was made my bank refunded me the£39.99. I then had another look for bebooks.space they are based in Harlow. I managed to log in to the subscription site and canceled it. I then received an email from bebooks confirming my cancelation, three days later I received a refund of £39.99 into my Nat West account.
