xenophobic company
Company Claimed to: Permettre à chaque femme de se réaliser professionnellement et personnellement, sans jamais devoir renoncer à l’un ou l’autre...Great! so I sent a demand to be accepted as a Virtual assistant. I was contacted by Rebecca, the founder. The first meeting was canceled by her, second by me. The third one was postponed by 30 min by her. I understand that she is a busy person, no worries. We started to talk ( 30 min later) and knowing that I have a strong French accent, I asked her if this could be a problem. We were cut off 2 times in this short conversation, which I am sorry for. I am having regularly meetings on Zoom or Google meets, and never had this issue. By the second cut she told me, that if it will happen one more time, we would have to set up a new meeting because she does not have time!!. .... Well, she was the one who postponed the meeting 30 min later. And she chose this time frame! We spent together maybe 3 min, so even though she was late for our already postponed meeting, I still had at least 15 more minutes. After the third cut, she did not accept me back in conversation. I am origin Slovak, and I know that I have an accent in the French language as in all the other 5 languages I speak, which is not a problem for me to do my job correctly. I was 19 years managing director of a French company with a turnover of 8 million euros and nobody ever complained about my accent. So I think that my Odysséa is finished here. I did not expect to be treated like this. And I can not imagine how can somebody work with and for such a xenophobic and arrogant French woman.
