The web checkin is useless. It does not provide accurate selections for physician or pharmacy. It does not good your place in the queue! The text prompts are not clear (“come into the office” does not indicate you need to see someone at the front desk). There is one person at the front desk to process checkin and check out (BetterMed had 2). We have been waiting for OVER an hour and still have not been seen. Someone who was a walk-in (not web checkin) was processed and seen after 5 minutes and we are STILL WAITING. Do better.

UPDATE: We received responsive care once we were seen. The physicians and nurses were pleasant and addressed our issue well.

I got to the clinic at before they opened at 8 am. It was a little disorganized when I got into the clinic but they worked hard to correct. It was a bit concerning that I filled out the paperwork via my phone and the technology was not talking to each other so they asked me the same questions 3 times. We're filling out the registration it asks me what was my pharmacy. I documented Walmart in Petersburg Virginia. I went there after my visit to pick up my medication and was advised that they didn't have any medication there for me. I called BetterMed back twice and was ensured that the medication had been sent in. On the last call to the BetterMed. I was told that the medication was sent to Walgreens and that I needed to call them myself and get them to transfer my medication to the correct pharmacy and by this time it's almost one pm and no medication.

Excellent service and rapid results

Dr. immediately realized that I had pneumonia and was in need of hospital. I was given the necessary papers to take to the ER with me. They offered to call for transport but my husband agreed to meet me and take me to the hospital so my friend who brought me in could go home.

I had hurt my hand and wrist the previous day and wanted to be seen to make sure I hadn't broken anything. The check-in console was a bit confusing and the worst part of the visit. After I was checked in I was taken straight back and seen by the nurse practitioner and after a quick x-ray I was told it was a bad strain. Then I was all done.

I was treated at the BetterMed in Colonial Heights Virginia the front staff was very engaging and knowledgeable the check in was very quick I was taken to the back in an exam room the nurse came in very friendly and very sensitive to my medical condition and within minutes the dr came in she made the process very easy and it made me feel at ease.I deathly recommend this place.

The provider was clear and helpful, explaining the options that were available and referring me to an emergency room.

Although the medical staff was very nice and courteous. The front desk was not! Very rude, didn't speak, one young lady had a bonnet on her head and didn't even greet us when we walked in.

My most recent experience at Better Med was very good. The wait time was next to nothing. As soon as I was placed in the examining room, the nurse came in for my vitals and update on medications and reason for visit. Everyone was very courteous. I only gave a 4-star because after I had signed in at the kiosk, as I turned to sit down I noticed one of the clerical staff (receptionist) in the front area, where everyone coming in the door could see, she was slumped down/laid back in her chair as if she were asleep. Not very professional at all. I have never been in this location and seen such a site. Actually, I have never been in any physician's office where a receptionist was laid back in this way.

I was seen for Bronchitis after having been treated with Steroids and Azithromycin by my PMD for 2 weeks. Came to Better Med complaining of bad cough and productive sputum associated with the cough. Better Med stated my lungs were clear by x-ray and placed me on Doxycycline and a cough syrup.

12 Days later, I still have the same symptoms and no relief.

Dr ignored the fact my leg was starting to swell. Next day was in the hospital with bad cellulitis. Never go to theses quacks again. Told me I had sinus infection

The service was exceptional. It was the end of the day, but you would never have known it. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The nurse was kind and efficient. The PA was knowledgeable and helpful.

The staff were immediately concerned about my situation and took me in tight away. They were all very professional yet very personal with my care. I would strongly recommend them to others for urgent care.

Very quick and excellent customer service

This was my 1st ever visit to an urgent care but the entire staff made it so easy for me and made my injury a primary issue for them

The last 2 visits have had extremely long wait times. The first was with a 4 year old very close to dinner time and we were there for over 2 hrs for a very short look and determination of no illness. The second was our teenage child for a finger sprain. That trip took over an hour, almost 2 hrs. Wait times used to be much shorter even with covid protocols in place. Otherwise care overall is good, just waiting too long.

Why not just tell us?

I was left sitting in an exam room for over an hour. When I got up to leave without being seen as I was sick of sitting there in a room by myself I was told it was only one medical practitioner seeing everybody in the building. Why not just tell patients when they come in that there may be a wait longer than expected? Just be upfront and honest.If a patient chooses to wait then at least they know what they’re waiting for.
